Although ours was only a small job, replacing our kitchen flooring, the service given was fantastic. The range of goods is exceptional and the both the estimator and fitters arrived on time and worked to a really high standard. I have used Southport Carpets for many years, and would never go anywhere else. I have recently had three new carpets laid in the bedrooms of our apartment in Birkdale. From the first call to Steve and the fitting of the carpets the experience was first class. The job was complicated by moving furniture etc; from room to room so the timing of fitting was important to fit in with other trades. When the job was finished and under budget my Wife and I stood to admire the quality and finish. All old carpets were removed and all done with a smile and courtesy. We were so impressed I contacted Steve to thank him personally and to pass on our thanks to his outstanding fitters. This is the reason I wanted to share our experience on this site so that others can feel confident they are dealing with a Company with a heart and passion for their trade.

Southport carpets kept in touch promptly during the quote and measure process. Made recommendations about how to make our Karndean flooring look great. Stuck to the quote and turned up exactly when they said they would. Great job, great finish. Couldn't be happier. 5 stars from us.

After having an extension built on my home we wanted a floor that would be durable, long lasting and complement our extension. Southport Carpets - Steve was efficient and helpful throughout the whole process; offering advice and guidance throughout. After discussing the colour and style we wanted, we had a full measure and samples of flooring delivered to our home within in a few days . After we made our decision- Karndean- Blond Oak, we paid a deposit to secure our order . Although, it was a busy time for all trades men, Steve, went out of his way to ensure we had our new flooring fitted before Xmas . The tradesman who fitted our Flooring was brilliant, Professional and hard working , working 8-5 Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday to ensure we had our flooring down throughout our large downstairs area before the holidays . If you are looking for a professional company... offering excellent advice, and guidance with a personal touch, then I would look now further than than. Brilliant Service from all the fellas at Southport Carpet and Flooring, our order was dealt with by Steve, he was very informative, broke it all down for us into an itemised invoice. Which for two people who haven’t had anything done to their house or floors was so helpful as it’s easy to get lost in all the ‘shop talk’ we needed quite a lot of prep work done to the floors. The floorers and fitters they use were two really lovely fellas, really respectful of the property and super professional and quick to do what they needed to, no messing and gave us exact times when the floors would be ready and fitted. They stuck to their plan, no stress, reliable. Really happy with the service from start to finish, very rare these days where everything is overpriced and slap dash. Not these guys. So happy with our floors. They are fitted beautifully (not easy in an 1940’s build where it’s all a bit cockeyed) and look brilliant, we have had a lot of compliments. Two years ago, Southport Carpet Centre replaced our hall and dining room floors with Karndean and did an excellent job, so having decided to have the lounge done similarly, we returned to them. The timing of the work was to suit us and a builder, who was involved at the same time. There were no delays, disappointments or extra charges. The design/layout of the floor was done perfectly by their 'in house' team. They was always someone to listen to a query. We were advised of a local firm for the necessary aftercare for a Karndean floor and this was equally as satisfactory. I would wholelheartedly recommend Southport Carpet Centre and Steve for his kind, helpful manner.

We have recently had flooring laid throughout our ground floor of our house. We struggled to make a decision as the shop had hundreds of designs to choose from but we were helped by the team at the shop and took samples home to try. They then came out ,measured and quoted for the job. The price was very good and a date was agreed. We then had a couple more visits as we were having work done to the floors so they made sure they were ok for fitting. The floor took 4 days to complete and the fitters were great, clean and tidy workers and did a great job. I have found the whole experience to be stress free and I would definitely use them again. I would highly recommend them.

I came into the store a couple of times and dealt with Paul A, he was extremely helpful and forthcoming with his experience and knowledge in flooring. He didn’t try to make a pushy sale and gave me space to shop. On the second visit, he helped me finalise the flooring, price costs, and arrange the fitting. I was extremely happy with Paul’s customer service and wouldn’t hesitate to use him again. John and Nick came to fit the flooring, and once again I was pleased with the customer service we received and the work they completed. I decided to try Southport Carpet Centre as I needed a stair carpet runner installed. There were so many choices in colours and styles. Paul offered some advice as I wanted something hard wearing and yet easy to clean due to having a dog. I was left to browse at my own leisure which was great as I kept changing my mind! Eventually I chose the carpet and the two fitters came this morning to install it. They were friendly, efficient and quick. I'm really happy with the service I received from both the sales then the installation team. What made it easier for me was being able to text via WhatsApp as I'm deaf so phoning me wasn't an option. This kept me up to date with the progress of my order. Brilliant service.

We decided to go to Southport Carpets after being let down by another company, and we’re really glad we did. The selection of products in the store is excellent, and Paul was incredibly helpful. He offered some recommendations, which led us to change our original carpet choice – and we’re pleased we did. The whole process was smooth and efficient. While in store, we arranged a measuring date, and the fitter arrived on time as agreed. He measured up and gave us advice on the best type of carpet for our lounge, which we’ll be having done in a few weeks. We had carpet fitted on the stairs along with new underlay. The fitting team arrived on time, were friendly, and worked incredibly fast. The result is fantastic – the stairs look like new. We also had our small hallway redone with LVT. Lee was the fitter for that job and he had to do more prep work than he expected to get the floor level before it could be laid. He promised a neat job, and it is – we’re really pleased with the end result. The stairs and hall have been totally transformed. Cost for the work was also very reasonable, and we are happy to recommended for both product range, service and cost.

I was stuck for a local carpet fitter and searched further afield to southport, I visited the showroom after a really helpful and courteous phone call from the owner Steve. Within 48 hours as agreed Steve had one of his fitters around to measure up and survey the flooring to be replaced, He even helped solve a longstanding problem with a floor fitted by a previous big company name installer. I was given an excellent quote and prompt appointment to boot after agreeing the price without hesitation. During the fit, the installer measured up for our next rooms that require flooring I look forward to using southport carpet and flooring centre again and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending their services to anyone Warm regards James (kinmel close Liverpool)

The finished result of the carpet and Kandean flooring are excellent. The incorporation of the edging on the Kandean flooring designed by Steve resulted in astonishing result and we are so pleased with it. His team of staff and fitters are friendly and efficient. Kudos to Steve for his excellent service. When we encountered an issue with the floor boards (through no fault of the fitters) after the carpet fitting, Steve personally saw to the arrangements of all the additional work required and continue to follow-up until all issues were resolved and our satisfaction level met. We can't thank him enough for this. Southport Carpet is definitely the go-to place for anyone looking to have their flooring done.

We have just had our runner Carpet and two landings and another staircase fitted from Southport carpet centre today and we are over the moon! The carpet itself is absolutely stunning and the service we have received from the fitters to the manager has been outstanding. We would highly recommend a runner from Southport carpet centre, there are so many businesses out there to choose from but for us the importance is in the detail and the overall experience not just the carpet itself and we couldn’t be happier. Amazing job done fitting a solid wood floor. I couldn't fault the service and work done by Steve and the lads. Mark and his team done an excellent job fitting the floor and cleaned up as they went along. I found this company to be thoroughly professional in all aspects of their work. They kept us informed about any changes that needed to be made. We had to have the underlay done slightly different and they explained this to us and gave us some time to think about it without any pressure to go ahead with the sale as it was an extra cost. The fitters used asked whether it was ok to come a bit later than the time arranged, again there was no pressure to change, it was a request and not a demand. The fitter John did an excellent job and explained any issues there may be. When we were choosing the carpet the staff were very helpful and knowledgable without being overpowering and left us to discuss our choice. I would definitely use this company again and will be recommending them to friends and family.

We were recommend Southport Carpets via Christine Penman, Synergy Utilities. I had been looking for an amtico floor for my house and had obtained a few quotations from other companies before Steve was recommended to me. From the first conversation I had with Steve I felt assured and confident that I was dealing with a very professional company. Steve was very knowledgeable about the product and advised that different types of adhesives had to be used in the room dependent on the location e.g. whether it was in direct sunlight etc., something none of the other companies had asked me. A fitter was sent out to measure up and the quotation promptly followed and once we decided colours etc. we arranged a fitting date. The fitters came out a couple of weeks later and even though we had other work going on with difference tradesmen at the time, they were able to work around them and had the job completed in a couple of days. I have just had most of my carpets replaced and a large expanse of waterproof laminate flooring laid. I was very pleased with both the service and the price. The whole experience was a positive one.

We've had carpet from here in the past and were pleased with it so when the domestic project manager started nagging me about rugs - this was our first & only stop. Good range in the showroom and we ordered the one we wanted, it was delivered shortly afterwards with no fuss and is still giving good service. There's a huge showroom on Eastbank Street and they also do other types of flooring too.
