Southside Window Systems are a specialist Windows and Door company. supplying and installing Double Glazing , UPVC Windows and UPVC Doors in and around Glasgow.
Established in 1997, we are a family run business that supplies and installs Rehau Total 70S Double Glazing UPVC Windows in Glasgow and Doors in Glasgow to trade and public. All of our Double Glazing Units are manufactured directly from the Pilkington factory.
Southside Window Systems Ltd are associate members of rehau with a 10 year guarantee available.
Our team of highly skilled fitters all have a minimum of 10 years experience in the trade and all have to be trained to Rehau's high standards with customer care and quality being the top priority.

Contacted Southside windows as my elderly mother wanted to replace windows. From start to finish their service was outstanding. Russell the owner came out to measure up. There was no pressure at any time. Explaining the materials used and options available. The next day Mum received a very detailed email explaining exactly how the work would be done, again detailing exactly all the materials used using graphs and diagrams. Email was prepared by Russell's Daughter. It was excellent. Once a date was agreed to fit. The fitters Craig & David showed up, bang on time. Took no time at all fitting the windows. No hiccups, no mistakes. They worked perfectly together and fitted the windows in no time at all. There was little to no Mess and the lads cleaned everything up, so professional, top blokes. I genuinely can't recommend this Company enough. A Family run business, where every one of them are playing their part. The price was extremely competitive in compartments the ither 2 or 3 companies Mum got quotes from. They were so down to earth, honest and genuine and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Please consider using Soutside Windows. They've been going for years and deserve their 5 star rating. I cannot fault them. My wee Mum is so pleased and she's a very difficult Lady to please!!! Well done Southside Windows. From owner, Office Staff and Fitters....take a bow. It's a very rare thing these days to get top notch service. You guys achieved it. 👏

Extremely pleased with the work done by Southside Windows. We’ve had 2 bay windows replaced. They are of very high quality and look great enhancing the appearance of front of house. The fitters Ian and Michael did a wonderful job. There was no mess and all debris removed swiftly. After scouting around, we chose Southside Windows to replace a window in our Edwardian home. We wanted the window to look as authentic to the era as possible and Southside Windows gave us a really great price. A month later, the work was carried out and we’re delighted with it. Two men did the job and they were very polite, professional and respectful of our home. They covered carpets and cleaned up afterwards. I would definitely recommend Southside Windows for beautiful windows, in keeping with the age of the house and without the eye watering cost of some other companies we approached.

Supply & install I had seen Southside Windows vans around the area and I checked out their website and liked what I read. I contacted them, arranged a home visit, had dimensions taken and agreed price. They kept me fully informed, agreed installation date and turned up on time with a full team, all very professional and cheerful. On completion they presented the work and informed me that there was a manufacturing fault ( which was not noticeable to me ). They resolved this with the manufacture and replaced the part. They suggested that I retain part of final payment until fully satisfied. They left the place clean. Full communication throughout the contract and a cheery Merry Christmas from the team.

The team are lovely. They could not have been more helpful and accommodating, getting windows measured, ordered and fitted in a tight turnaround time. The windows are excellent quality, I noticed a huge difference straight away. Even though there was a minor error on the order (which didn’t really affect me at all) they took ownership of the error and it didn’t cause any delay to fitting. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone and will definitely use them again in future.

I was really pleased by the work carried out by Southside Windows. Their customer service was very helpful and they would always respond promptly to my emails and questions. They made me aware of Home Energy Scotland and my eligibility for a loan to help with the cost of installing double glazing. The men who installed the windows were polite, professional and efficient in their work. I am very happy with the look and quality of the windows which have replaced traditional timber windows. The new windows still fit the character of an old tenement flat well.

We needed replacement of fourteen windows to upgrade the builder’s original but rather poor quality wooden windows installation. I would have no hesitation in giving five stars to Southside Windows for every stage of the process through to completion of the installation and the windows themselves. The prospect of such a big job was worrisome but we needn’t have been concerned. Russell carried out the initial assessment, then measuring and estimating with calm efficiency and courtesy. From there, it was a few weeks waiting for the windows to be made and then booking installation. The team of joiners arrived as arranged and bang on time. It was then a case of ‘leaving it to the professionals’ and they did not disappoint. Of course, it is not possible to remove and install windows without dust and some mess but the men cleaned as they went, which meant that all we had to do was a light ‘Spring clean’ when the whole job was finished. If we had known about the proficiency and quality of Southside Windows, we’d have saved ourselves years of worrying whether we should or should not replace the windows and we’d have had this job done years ago.

Replaced 2 (3 window) bays and 3 large dormer windows along with a composite front door. Turned up on time every time through initial visit to the works. Work to agreed schedule and as quotation, Liked the relaxed Initial visit to measure up and price.. no sales talk or pressure..no problem accommodated final tweaks Communication up to installation always clear and quick and accommodated what worked best for us. Installation team also excellent.... good bunch of guys. On time, clean tidy job, polite and nothing an issue. Overall just what I look for no sales push and nothing made into an issue and a first class job at a good price.

Just had Southside Window Systems fit 5 windows and a back door. David, Ian, and Craig arrived on time at 8.30 as promised, nice guys, friendly. They worked till the job finished with only a 15-minute break. I was expecting a 2-day job, but they finished at about 3.00. Covered everything with dust sheets and cleared up when finished. David noticed a bubble on the back door panel (I could not see it even after he pointed it out). They have ordered a new one, which will be fitted next week. I cannot fault anything from Russell doing the quote in half an hour (as promised, half an hour, not half the night) to Nicolle taking the payment, it was fuss-free, and the windows and door look amazing. Thanks, guys. I might have to get a new front door now, windows are making it look a bit old.

We initially had Russell come out to quote for four new windows. He was punctual and very friendly. No hard-selling techniques. On the day, we had David, Craig and Ian install the windows. The three guys arrived on time, all took the time to introduce themselves and have a chat. Dust sheets were placed over the flooring and furniture. After completing the job, they tidied up, removed and rubbish and gave the floors a hoover. Overall excellent service, and would happily recommend them to anyone.

Thinking of getting new windows and doors and contacted Southside Windows as I read all the reviews and also having been recommended by Which really appealed. Appointment made for today at 9.30. Russell arrived at 9.25am was out the door by 9.50 am. True to his word that he wouldn't be here for hours. Super impressed as, it turns out, we’re not needing new windows. Had another company out telling us we did and would cost £20,000 but if agreed on the same day, would be £16,000. We have decided to get a new front door and replace the glass on the hall window. Would have no hesitation in recommending Southside Windows if you’re thinking about it! So refreshing to have someone so honest and not trying to rip you off. Thankyou Russell.

We had our windows fitted sometime ago so this review will reflect the orginial fitting experience, time past and recent customer service review. I was there the day the windows were fitted and asked the fitter why no foam insulation was used in large gaps between brick and windows and he said air gap would insulate enough, later winter experiences proved him wrong, severe heat loss during winter. When fitting the downstairs baywindow that fitter did not use a prop instead a bit of wood to support our bay roof, they had to refit that external aspect one week later as the roof was now lopsided and looked rediculous outside. This proved an issue later as we had to repair a leaking bay roof due to the shifting of the structure during this fitting. Time has passed and each winter the poorly insulated gap across all windows show severe heat loss and now the front baywindow has come away from the wooden sill. I contacted them asking for a health check and they said they did not provide that service to which I asked about insulation policy and they said yes it was their policy to insulate gaps with foam which they did not do during original fitting. Long story short the actual window frames fabricated are excellent our issue was always the fitting which was incredibly poor. We will now be videoing a review this winter for Youtube, carrying out a thermal test before and after foam insulation of these windows, testing Southside Windows air gap hypothesis.
