Southside Widows replaced 9 windows for us. The guys did a brilliant job. They were on time and worked hard. The job was completed on schedule in 3 days. In the bathroom and the kitchen the windows are behind the sink and difficult to access. Access from outside is also difficult. The guys worked well to find a solution and didn't leave a single scratch. They tidied up well. The house was left as if nothing had happened. We were very pleased with the work.

Required 7 new double glazed windows fitted in top floor flat. The owner of Southside Windows carried out the initial consultation and survey himself and quoted a price well within my budget. I was informed windows would be available with 4 weeks and take two days to fit. (From initial correspondence to final day of fitting eas exactly 28 days). The initial date given for fitting was inconvenient for me and Southside Windows had no problem st all in agreeing to a date the suited. Regarding the installation, the two fitters arrived promptly at 8:30 on both mornings and immediately got to work. Dust sheets, walking boards, etc were used to ensure little to no mess. As I was retaining the wooden surrounds already in place the fitting of these new windows didn't take as long as normal, finished by 2:30pm on day 1 and by 11am on day 2. I am delighted with the quality of both windows and workmanship and I would highly recommend Southside Windows.

We ordered 18 windows, two patio doors and a front and back, doors. We had other quotes and selected Southside because they were recommended for their quality of build and products. We wanted really good quality and through advice from Russell selected doors , colours and asked a lot of questions. We were unsure of various aspects and Russell kept us straight on every thing. Others had quoted five days to fit maybe longer ! Russell came in and said he would take no more than four days ! The two fitters called and started a day earlier than originally planned and worked solidly through from 08.30 in the morning until after 4.00. They did an incredible job and it was completed in four days. We are delighted and the difference to our house is incredible. The fitters are very professional and 'nothing was a problem' A great service and product from Southside windows and we highly recommend them !

I recently had a palladio door fitted, from start to finish I had excellent service Russell came out to my property and the next day I received my quotation. I then visited the showroom and was greeted with some lovely girls in the office who were extremely helpful. The boys that installed my door were very good and well mannered. We have used Southside Window Systems for over 20 years and would not even consider going elsewhere. We recently got Russell to provide a quote for new windows, door and French doors. The survey was quick and efficient, the whole process was very smooth and professional throughout. We were kept updated by the office staff of when the products would be delivered and we arranged the fitting date convenient to myself. The finished result was immaculately done, the quality of the windows and doors is impressive, and the whole area was cleared by their tradesmen. The after service was a nice touch to ensure we were happy with the whole process. I would definitely recommend Southside Windows all the way!

I just cannot rate this company high enough, this is my fourth house that Southside Windows have renewed my windows and doors in. Russell doesn't put any pressure on you to buy, helps to get you exactly what style you want and what suits your house both inside and with the interior finish. His fitters take good care of your home and have great pride in their workmanship. Russell's family members deal with the administration side and they are equally as friendly and approachable as he is. They have now installed at least three of my neighbours homes too. With one who has moved up north, even requesting if he would install windows in her new home up there. Outstanding family business, I cannot recommended them highly enough.

They measured the windows up themselves. When they arrived to fit them they took my bedroom window out only to discover they'd measured wrong (by about 20cm!?!). I ended up with a window that didn't fit for 6 weeks in winter while they reordered. They damaged one of my walls and one of the carpets is badly stianed where they didn't put down sheets. They've offered a nominal discount of £100 but this is unlikely to cover both repairs. The quality of the fitting is pretty variable and the finish around a couple of windows is pretty poor. The guys doing the fitting were really friendly and helpful though.

Southside Windows (SW) installed 10 new windows in our house replacing tired old aluminium framed windows with new units. SW offered a wide range of styles and we were able to select the style that suited our requirements. The installation team arrived exactly when scheduled and carried out the work within the 2 days originally estimated. The team were obviously very experienced and carried out the work very professionally. In addition they were polite and very respectful of our home - they laid down dust sheets throughout the house before starting and tidied up at the end of each day’s work. The work was all carried out to the original estimate. The one minor issue I had with 1 window was sorted without question. The installed windows have greatly improved the look of our house. We are delighted with them and the service offered by Southside Windows.

We are delighted with our new sash windows. The workmanship and finishing both inside and out is excellent. The two workers who carried out the installation were very professional and cleared all of the debris as they progressed the works, leaving a very tidy interior and exterior. Having decided to replace the old wooden windows and panoramic doors in our house I contacted a few companies. One of the companies was Southside Windows, which was recommended by neighbours who had been very pleased with their choice. After a meeting with Russell I decided to also go ahead with Southside Windows and have not been disappointed with any aspect of that decision. From the minute the men arrived their work was carried out with a pleasant attitude, respect for the property and neatness. With that said I was delighted with the finished work. I must also say that the whole experience was enhanced by my pleasant and helpful contacts with the office staff and Russell who called in to fix a minor problem the next day (10 minutes ). The 2 men that came out to do the work were really professional, worked efficiently and cleared up any mess. They done and amazing job and only took a short break for their lunch. Didn't waste any time getting the job done, 7 windows and a door fitted in 2 days. Russell is great he comes and does a rough measure for quote purposes, if you're happy with that he'll come back to get exact measurments and fill in necessary paperwork. The total time for 2 visits from Russell come to roughly 30 minutes, no hard sell, a fantastic company to deal with, the office staff are great too, fantastic communication from them also, really quick in answering any questions you might have. Would definitely recommend them.

Southside Windows installed double glazed sash windows in my house and I am delighted with the result. From Russell's first visit when we discussed the types of windows to the final installation it was a very straightforward and professional experience. A competitive quote and an excellent install team who were careful, quick and very helpful. I am very impressed by the work, the windows are very high quality and a perfect replacement for the orginal wooden sash windows so the period look of my house is retained. Highly recommend if you are looking to replace your windows.

This is the third time I have used this company over a twenty year period and the service and after service is still second to none. From the first visit from Russell with a quick, no nonsense quote, plus dealing with Nicole and the other admin staff to the completion of the windows, it was five star service! I had seven windows installed by Ian and David, lovely guys who worked non stop for two days and cleared up as they went along. No hard sell salesman tactics, Russell was very professional and friendly and carried out an initial 5 minute measure of the windows and a quote breakdown was emailed to me afterwards - and provided the lowest quote out of 3 other companies I had approached. Other companies salesmen loitered for 40+ minutes chopping and changing their quotes. Fitters were very quick and polite, finishing 6 very large windows and replaced sills over 1.5 days. Great communication from everyone at southside windows, very positive experience for what could have been a stressful experience with such a big job being carried out.

Guys from Southside windows were brilliant from start to finish. Even the planning of the job and booking in dates with the ladies in the office went smoothly. The work men arrived bang on time, covered all flooring and work area to keep everything tidy. Constantly tidying up as they went. Installed 10 new windows and 2 doors at our house. Russell very knowledgable, quick to quote and no hard sell. Not the cheapest but still competitive for the best windows and doors (Rehau and Palladio). Fitters arrived as scheduled and completed in just over 2 days all in. I contracted with Southside Windows on a recommendation from a trusted source and have not been disappointed. Very quick in getting a quote together and agreement on date to start work. The guys that came were well briefed, easy to be around and delivered an outstanding quality of work. The job was a big one to replace all windows and both doors on a two-storey house. This included two large bay windows. All the work was completed to our satisfaction without any discussion or debate. Very high quality levels and, relatively, very little mess. You may be able to find cheaper but be careful what you pay for. These guys have quality at the heart of what they do and it all comes from having a team of highly skilled tradesmen. Russel from Southside windows measured up and gave us not the cheapest but competitive quote for the work. He was quick to point out possible issues and advantages of each type of window and their specifications. He got straight to the point, gave us a firm quote and the work started and finished on an agreed timescale. The fitters were respectful, and trustworthy (we left them alone on the property) and worked hard right through each day fitting one side of the property to reduce any inconvenience. The windows performance is as he said - reducing the road noise but not eliminating it totally. Russel (Southside windows ) tells you how it is, with no false promises. one minor issue was the sill heights were slightly higher, however, Southside windows paid to have new vertical blinds rather than realigning the already finished job. Overall good product, job done well and any issues resolved - no fuss what more could you reasonably expect.

Just had sash windows fitted to the front and side of my house. Cannot praise the fitters enough. Ronnie, Hugh, Marc and David worked tirelessly and went the extra mile to ensure a perfect result, treated my home like it was their own, covered and protected furniture and tidied up afterwards. Even offered to wash the cups after only one, and very short, tea break. I absolutely love ❤ my new windows. The Southside Windows team did a great job. They arrived at 9.00 and left at 5.00, having replaced six windows including removing and replacing three sets of blinds, touched up the exterior cement surrounds on two windows and finally cleaning up well. Warmly recommended.

Southside Windows fitted new windows to the front of our house. The process was easy and hassle-free. Windows are not cheap so we had done our homework. Southside were very good value for money. The windows were actually fitted very quickly, good given winter is starting to bite. The fitters did an excellent job and complied with our concerns about COVID by wearing masks. The job was done very professionally and care was taken in cleaning up afterwards. We are delighted with the look and quality of the windows. Our old windows were prone to condensation and mould build-up. We no longer have to worry about that and the look of the two front rooms has been lifted. I would recommend this company to anyone fitting new windows.

Porch doors and front door installed..fitter turned up on time and worked tirelessly until job completed...there was an issue with one of the porch doors which he highlighted to me and said he would report it..the issue has since been resolved and I am very happy with southside windows and all the staff and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

From the initial visit to estimate the job by Russell right through to completion this was absolutely ideal. Russell visited to estimate and provide a quote, this took half an hour max and we were more than happy to proceed. Not cheap but a very fair price. Estimated 12 weeks to fit, but got all call 9 weeks in to say all was ready to go. A week before the fitting date we got a call to say there would be a delay as they had been held up on a job elsewhere, they would be turning up a day late ….ok here we go….usual builder stuff…. Needn’t have worried, turned up a day late, but finished half a day early. Ronnie and Hughie were absolute stars, made a perfect job, inside and out of nine new windows. Just as importantly left our place spotless. Treated our home with the utmost respect. Replacing blinds, curtains, furniture and vacuuming, after the work….unasked by the way….was fantastic thank you guys. After they left you’d never know that they’d been there in the first place. If you’re looking to replace your windows…and forgot to say …the actual windows themselves are fabulous…..don’t even think about using anyone else. Thanks for everything guys. Absolute top job. Everything is extremely easy from the quotation with no sales pitch, to placing the order and fitting. The fitters used are great, friendly and highly professional. A Southside team (Brian and Sam) arrived in the morning and started work immediately. They worked steadily all day to complete the job (3 windows and a front door) and even vacuumed what little mess there was on completion. They were very courteous at all times. The quality of work is superb and was exactly what we were looking for. Right from the initial visit of Russell to discuss our requirements through to completion of the work, dealing with this firm has been excellent and could not be faulted. The tradesman was nice and did great work on the 2 windows we ordered. Unfortunately, he left a crack but he was honest about it and ordered a new one for me. Customer service was great and reassuring about the window and we got a replacement easily. Overall I would recommend due to the good work, honest and nice builder and great customer service.

Dear Sirs, I am going to keep this short and to the point. After contacting other various window companies I enjoyed a series of no shows or an initial contact followed by no contact despite many follow up calls by me. Eventually discovered Southside Window Systems and got in touch. All I can say is that from start to finish the company were first rate. This was a difficult job yet SSW handled it with total professionalism. Result I have a lovely new double window system which looks as if it was always there and my wife and I could not be happier. I have no hesitation recommending this company to anyone simply ten out of ten.

We got 4 new windows fitted in our first floor flat and the two guys that came out did an amazing job. Arrived at just before 11am and got all the windows completed by 5.30pm the same day. Great quality of work - we are very happy with them. They left minimal mess too! Communication was clear throughout the full process, we were provided with a fair quote - would definitely recommend.

We wanted new storm doors and contacted 3 or 4 well known firms but because the size we needed was not standard (our entrance porch is narrow) we were being told we could not get the doors. Only Southside windows was able to help us because they could get the doors made to our requirements. They sent someone out to take the measurements and discuss what we wanted. We are shielding my husband so the guy never came into the house. I was told it would take about 4 weeks for the doors to be ready and that was about right. We were contacted with a date and the fitter turned up on that day and fitted the doors in a morning. No one came into the house and everything was as we requested at the measure - up. The fitter even put our door bell back on for us. Only had the doors for 2 days so there is still time for problems to show up - but I cannot say I am expecting any. The doors seem good quality and the locks work smoothly.

I am very happy that I chose Southside Windows to carry out replacing my large living room window, from my initial phone call to the completion of the job they have been very professional and knowledgeable tailoring every aspects to my specification. The day Owen fitted the window was one of the wettest days of the year he soldiered on through torrential rain and got totally soaked a number of times and still had a smile on his face. As advertised a quote is given within half an hour from Russell who owns the company with no pressure. We had eight windows and two doors fitted which took two and a half days as agreed. The fitters were professional and tidy as they worked and we are pleased with our new windows and doors. Would recommend Southside Windows to anyone considering new windows and doors.

I was very pleased with all the organisation of the work, great communication with knowledgeable staff in the company. The fitters came to do the work as arranged and took care in the fitting to make sure the installation was done properly. The tidied up after them and spent time showing how the locking of the door worked. Overall delighted and would use this company again.

I chose Southside Windows after some thorough research online and reading other reviews. The idea of a quote provided without the theatrics of the more well known companies is really what sold me on the company. A quote was provided within half an hour of assessment and it was incredibly reasonable for the scale of the work. Whole house including front and back doors fitted within 2.5 days by incredibly two experienced, hard working fitters who left the place spotless and excellent communication from the office. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Went with Southside Windows off a recommendation from a colleague and I also could not recommend more. I got 10 windows replaced in a tenement, with 2 in slightly awkward positions. Russel came out to measure when he said he would, and was so professional and clear. Cheapest quotation I received also. Day of installation, the guys arrived on time and did a fantastic job. I hardly recognised the place, the finish was flawless. Everyone I spoke to was great and answered all my questions.

Southside Windows installed our double-glazed units in two batches, finishing up in November 2019 and to say we're happy is an understatement. From the no-pressure appointments to measure up (thanks, Owen) to arranging a suitable date for install, to a really well-done, tidy job done, they've overperformed each time. I'm really picky and had had several other companies out before, and a couple after, Owen visited. A very no-nonsense approach, along with clear advice helped us to make our minds up quickly. They aren't the cheapest, but their product IS the best value for money I was able to find. There were no sales trucks, no last-minute discounts if we signed up on the day, just honest, logical suggestions for a couple of issues we'd come up against which actually reduced the value of the quote, but have us what we needed, rather than what we thought was best. They did the front windows this time, having replaced the rear windows last year. Again quick neat and did a good job even though they broke one of the sealed units, it was replaced the next day.

From the outset, I was treated with respect and it was made quite clear that no job was too small for Southside Windows, unlike many other double glazing companies who only tackle two or more items! The office staff were pleasant and helpful and good communicators and arrangements were made quickly for someone to give me a quote within days. I was impressed by the fitter's approach to his work and his explanations of how the company would be able to fit the bathroom window successfully in spite of my anxiety about the surrounding area of my recently updated bathroom! In the course of the conversation, I found out that PVC garage doors were available which seemed the answer to my weather-beaten one which I had decided would have to be put on hold because the bathroom window had to take priority. There was no pushy sales drive when my interest was aroused regarding a garage door and I felt my instincts were right about this company so I had another quote for the door a few days later and had both window and door fitted. The fitters were punctual, professional and tidied up after the work was completed. Clear explanations were given regarding the opening and closing of window and door. I was extremely impressed by the quality of both the window and door as well as the workmanship. I rarely write reviews, but I feel this company deserves the effort. Quote - it took half an hour and no sales tactics involved. It was a straight conversation about what I wanted and how much can they do it for (as it should be). Ordering - again pleasant experience. Being naturally suspicious of things that seem too good to be true' I made the journey to their showroom to see what I was potentially buying. Again no pressure to buy anything, just solid advice. The quality of their products is excellent. Second visit to take the measurements took again half an hour. Installation - everything went to plan. The fitters, Brian and Sam, knew what they were doing and were not cutting any corners. They took excellent care not to damage floors and carpets. Also they planned the work in such a way that did not turn the entire flat into a building site, so thumbs up on that. Overall customer service - excellent all round. Their back office support, Angela and Nicolle, are most helpful and respond to queries quickly. Price/quality - jaw-dropping, in a good way. They are evidence that you can build a sustainable business based on delivery of quality product and service. I’d recommend them without hesitation.

Owen quoted and measured up. Arrived at the agree time and didn’t give any hard sell. Owen arrives to fit my front door exactly on time. He spent extra time building out the frame for better finish rather than just replace the door. I could not be happier with the service or the door.

I am having a bathroom remodelled. There was an issue with the existing window. Owen measured and re-assured. The window was installed very quickly, also by Owen, matching the other windows fitted by a previous company years before. No hold up for the bathroom. No one knows what a window costs until they need one, so I'm very pleased with the honest price and the job. Clean, tidy. Looks great. Highly Recommended.

We had all the windows and the front door replaced. The work was done by 2 workmen who worked calmly and efficiently together. They planned the work to minimise disruption and worked around us being in the house. Each night they left work finished, secure and they cleaned up magnificently. They were friendly, courteous and respectful. They worked solidly through and were careful and meticulous. We are very pleased with the windows and door and will be quick to recommend them to others.

Russell arrived as planned and gave an instant quote within ten minutes that was several hundred pounds cheaper than competitors! Brian and Sam arrived as planned and are very professional and courteous tradesmen, the installation is a first class job and they left my home immaculate, removed all external debris. A pleasure to deal with - honest and trustworthy. I wanted to replace my five old windows in front room and main bedroom. Russell carried out a thorough inspection of the windows and said there was nothing wrong with them - the double glazed glass panels and surrounding seals were perfectly good - and he gave some practical help as to how to improve their performance. Did not want to take any money from me under false pretenses. So many other companies would have acted differently in order to get my money. Very impressed by Russell, his approach and attitude, and would recommend to other potential customers.

Replaced our tenement windows within a few weeks of receiving their quote through the Window Advice Centre. There wasn't one bit of dust left in the house when I came home, even on the first night when they were only half way through the job. Guys who fitted the windows were really friendly and hardworking. Windows are perfect and they stuck to the original quote, which was really reasonable. Will be recommending to others.

I simply cannot recommend Southside Windows highly enough. Russell patiently talked us through the window options available and gave us tips and ideas on the style and arrangement of windows which would work best for our house.
