While working in the front garden a passing "roofer" came in told me a tile had come off my roof and he could fix it, I thanked him saying I would investigate. On checking it did look like one was missing so I contacted Speakman. Andrew responded promptly and called a few days later. But on close inspection he found all was well, so no charge! Thank you Andrew for your prompt and friendly service, recommend 100%.

When a bathroom under a flat roof developed a leak on Dec 27th, I had problems finding someone to come out as most businesses are closed between Xmas and New Year. However Andrew came out bringing his children with him as there was nobody to leave them with at that time. He stopped the leak, showed us photos of the problem and sent us a quotation and possible starting date. The work was started a day early and finished promptly. When there was a problem with some water getting in as a spell of wild weather had moved the sheet, he first came out himself and went up in the dark, rain and wind to attempt a temporary fix. Then after I rang the next morning to say it was coming in again, he and one of his men were round in an hour and a half. His team were all helpful and polite. When they were finished, they left the terrace underneath looking spotless. Definitely a company that goes the extra mile!

Andrew Speakman replaced our entire large roof and all flat roofs. The team of guys were professional, on-time every day, tidy and most of all competent. Andrew went out of his way to make sure every element of the roof was finished to the highest standard. I would have no hesitation in recommending him, he went over and above my expectations!

Andrew seemed to be a very nice chap. He went up on the roof of our first floor maisonette and did a thorough survey. Afterwards he showed me photos of what needed doing. He said that there would be a couple of week's delay before he could send a survey. That was in May. I have emailed him twice asking where the quote is and have not had the courtesy of a reply. Presumably he didn't want the job but wasn't polite enough to tell me.

He came promptly to assess the job and made sensible suggestions for the best way of tackling the work. He provided detailed and reasonably priced quotes and arranged mutually agreeable dates taking account of his existing schedules and the winter weather. Work was carried out in two phases, both in adverse weather conditions, before and after Christmas. Nevertheless, Andrew's team persevered and completed the work in a very satisfactory manner. He kept in close contact with us throughout, and both he and his team impressed us with their friendly and professional way of working and their tidiness and attention to detail. We would certainly use this firm again, and would recommend them to others.

We first saw Andrews work when we were driving past a house and noticed a roof he had just completed that was absolutely stunning in terms of quality and also how it fitted with the house. When Andrew called round he was just a genuinely nice, family orientated man. So different from many of the tradespeople we have come across with our renovation. He listened to what we wanted but then came back with an alternative. Looking back our choice would have ruined the final look of the house and I am so glad he persuaded us to go with real slate. His team are the same as him, great, honest guys who really are craftsmen and interested in doing a great job. They completed our main roof to such a high standard, and Andrew even spent a whole Saturday fitting out light tunnel to make sure it was perfect. He really is a true craftsman and perfectionist. We then had the team back to compete our porch, and again, the work was completed to a very high standard. We recently had the house rendered and the company commented on how well the roof had been done, they see them all the time and he said it was one of the best he had seen. I would highly recommend Andrew and his team and our neighbours have already had work done by him on our recomendation and are very pleased.
