When we decided to replace our front door and side panel we googled "composite doors near me" and Square Deals came out as the nearest so we called into the showroom after looking at their website and reading all the good reviews. We were impressed with everybody we dealt with from Barry who talked us through our options and suggested a slightly wider door (which we hadn’t considered), Emma who dealt very promptly with a requested change of glass in our quotation and arranged a fitting date, Craig who came out to measure up and check our order to James and the team who turned up bang on 8.30 am and fitted the new front door and side panel with very little mess and tidied up as they went along. The door and glass side panel look great. It remains to be seen if they last as long as the previous ones (28 years) but, if they do, I will be even happier!

Square Deals handled everything from initial enquiry and survey to installation and completion in a friendly and professional way. We expected more decorating afterwards but there is very little tidying up to do. Excellent value, on budget and on time. We are delighted with the end result and completely reassured that we chose to place our order with Square Deals

In less than a month, from ordering 2 replacement windows we have experienced excellent communication with everyone involved with replacing these windows. Windows replaced 20/11/25 by James, Mike and Liam fantastic team polite courteous respectful of our property, worked quickly and efficiently and left the finished job tidy and clean. Would definitely recommend and use again.

The entire experience dealing with Square Deals has been first class. The fitting team enjoyed loads of banter with me especially James which made the whole experience more enjoyable. Just had a new composite door fitted at the front of the house and a UPVC at the back. The workmen arrived when they said they would, had the doors fitted in no time and both doors look great. Window companies get a bad reputation, mostly justified and there are so many of them. Square Deals are different, they deserve a fantastic reputation. A couple of neighbours in our street had work done and had problems, so we invited Square Deals to quote and we are so glad we chose them. From the initial visit to the installers leaving site, everyone we met was friendly and polite. No hard sell, no chasing, nothing bad at all. Just professional information and a competitive price. The installation team were top drawer. 2 experienced hands and a young lad, it was a pleasure to have them in the house. They treated our property with the upmost respect and even though it was a messy process, they cleaned up and ensured the house was left tidy everyday. The end result is superb, the quality of workmanship was excellent and the product of a very high quality. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Square Deals, we are extremely happy we chose them.

Having looked at numerous companies to fit and supply a new composite front door, we called into Square Deals Ltd in York when we were passing one day. We were greeted by a very friendly lady who showed us what was available in our price range and took the time to talk us through a range of options. At no stage did we feel under any pressure to buy but we liked the products we were shown and were told clearly what was included in the ‘deal’ we opted for: ie type of glass and door accessories. Communication was excellent from our first visit to the showroom to the actual day of installation. The door was fitted on the agreed day by two pleasant young men and everything was completed to a high standard. We would definitely recommend this company.

This was the second time we had used Square Deals Limited, and they did not disappoint. From the first contact up to completion of the installation of our new windows and doors, communication was on-point. Throughout the process, we were given clear guidance on the price and likely installation period. The price was extremely competitive and useful suggestions were provided at the initial specification stage. The three installers were all very respectful and cleaned up at the end of each day. Installation was carried out exactly to schedule and to a very high standard. I could not recommmend Square Deals Limited enough!

From start to finish great service from all parties. From initially speaking to the office (Michelle)arranging for someone to come and quote to John coming out to see me for 1st Measuring. John explained things very well to me...he certainly knows his stuff. Lads came 8am 6th June as I was told they would. Very tidy workers ...dust mats down ...even brought a Henry Hoover with them. Excellent service and a competitive price. Friendly staff that were not pushy and left us to review the estimate in our own time. Gave helpful suggestions that assisted us in making a choice. Both the builders for the foundation/ base and the conservatory erectors were friendly and approachable and kept us informed at each stage and at the close of each day. Price was as quoted and where the base could use existing materials the builders identified this and reduced the original estimate. No issues and they tidied up leaving a clean site. Would not hesitate in recommending them.

Square Deals' quote for 3 new doors was much lower than the one from a well-known national company. They were friendly and helpful throughout the ordering and finding a suitable date for the work. One the day, the workers arrived early and worked hard even though the temperature outside was sub-zero. They tidied up thoroughly and completed the installations to our satisfaction more quickly than expected.

From the initial selection of alternative windows and doors, through the explanation of the various factors to be considered and completion of the job their performance was excellent. We used their services to replace all windows and external doors in the house. Their service throughout the project was of the highest quality. They made useful suggestions during the selection process and the end product satisfied all that we required within a competitive cost. The finish obtained was superb. Replaced our existing 5 large sliding sash windows with Upvc units. All work carried out on dates agreed, competently and efficiently. All rubbish taken away and our home left clean and tidy. We're very happy with the style and finish of the windows. Square Deals were easy to deal with, from the initial assessment (NO hard sell!), the quote, subsequent visit to the showroom, confirmation of the order, final survey, installation date and actual installation. This review may sound too good to be true, but honestly, that's how it was.

Our job had a number of unforeseen difficulties , they took a great deal of trouble to solve the problems and communication with us was excellent at all times. The 3 members of staff who came to replace our front door and porch windows did an excellent job in very difficult circumstances. They were perfectionists, both in their work and in clearing up, and always pleasant and friendly. The next time I need any windows replaced they will certainly be my first choice.

I have used Square Deals Ltd for several years to replace sash windows. I am delighted with the windows and service received on each occasion. The most recent was installing a window where an old wooden cellar door was. The fitters arrived promptly, are always polite and fitted the new tilt turn window efficiently, leaving everything tidy. It looks amazing! Having used Square Deals over a length of time I really like that the staff rarely change - they are professional, know their trade and do a really good job every time. Square Deals are also extremely competitive price wise. I would be very reluctant to use another company as the service from start to finish is always so good.

Our main shop door broke during the run up to Christmas. We could not lock our premises properly. This was a major problem for us as we are butchers and Christmas is our busiest time of year. We had a lot of stock on our premises which we couldn't secure. Also we were into Christmas week and about to have the heaviest footfall through our door of the year and the door could not be used. Square deals came out within 2 hours of us calling them, temporarily secured our door and within 2 days we had a new door fitted. We feel we had excellent service from the whole of the Square Deal team.

We recently used Square Deals Ltd to replace a door, cill and side panel at our rental property in York, following a recommendation made by our locksmith. I was very impressed from my initial contact with the company. They came out twice ahead of carrying out the actually installation work: firstly, to quote for the work and secondly, to measure up. Both times they arrived within the window of time agreed. They quickly reissued a quote when certain changes were required. The door panel, cill and side panel were constructed within the period of time quoted by the company. The installation work was carried out to a very high standard of workmanship. The fitters were very courteous and did everything I asked of them.
