I have used Square Deals Ltd for several years to replace sash windows. I am delighted with the windows and service received on each occasion. The most recent was installing a window where an old wooden cellar door was. The fitters arrived promptly, are always polite and fitted the new tilt turn window efficiently, leaving everything tidy. It looks amazing! Having used Square Deals over a length of time I really like that the staff rarely change - they are professional, know their trade and do a really good job every time. Square Deals are also extremely competitive price wise. I would be very reluctant to use another company as the service from start to finish is always so good.

Our main shop door broke during the run up to Christmas. We could not lock our premises properly. This was a major problem for us as we are butchers and Christmas is our busiest time of year. We had a lot of stock on our premises which we couldn't secure. Also we were into Christmas week and about to have the heaviest footfall through our door of the year and the door could not be used. Square deals came out within 2 hours of us calling them, temporarily secured our door and within 2 days we had a new door fitted. We feel we had excellent service from the whole of the Square Deal team.

We recently used Square Deals Ltd to replace a door, cill and side panel at our rental property in York, following a recommendation made by our locksmith. I was very impressed from my initial contact with the company. They came out twice ahead of carrying out the actually installation work: firstly, to quote for the work and secondly, to measure up. Both times they arrived within the window of time agreed. They quickly reissued a quote when certain changes were required. The door panel, cill and side panel were constructed within the period of time quoted by the company. The installation work was carried out to a very high standard of workmanship. The fitters were very courteous and did everything I asked of them.

I would highly recommend this company, they arrived on time, they took care to make sure everything was covered, they were friendly and helpful. The job was done to an excellent standard and it was reasonably priced.

We've had Square Deals twice before - they were recommended on our local FB forum - and once again they've come up trumps. Previously we've had a patio door replaced, then bathroom window & a front door with stained glass. Everything looks lovely! This time the fitters replaced our back door, garage door & a window. The standard is excellent, they work so efficiently, and are courteous and communicative. It's easy to contact the office and to ask questions, and their surveyor is skilled & proficient - we've asked & followed his good advice about design. It's all excellent value. This was the last set of windows to be done for our bungalow and Square Deal have done them all. They were recommended to us by our son-in-law and we have not been disappointed. All work has been done to the highest level and on this occasion a request was carried out for us regarding a fascia board over the garage door. Not only was the job accepted but it was carried out on the same day, thus reducing a team of three to two for the main job and with no lack of efficiency and care. We can thoroughly recommend this Company and all their workers.

We have just had our new bay window fitted by square deals. We couldn't be happier with the service and end result. Barry first came round at the end of June to provide an initial quote. We found the quote straight forward and easy to understand. Upon deciding to go ahead Craig visited to a final measurement for the exact order. The fitters James M and Billy were both great. Very friendly, installed the new window and frame in only a couple of hours. They also cleaned up after themselves leaving our property exactly as they found it. Overall a great experience and would use again!

We were looking to upgrade some outer doors for better insulation. Square Deals gave good information on options and costs. We went ahead with the replacement of double glazed patio doors. A relatively straightforward job, but the fitting was excellent, and left incredibly tidy - you literally wouldn't have known that they had been (apart from the new doors being there!). We've also used this company for smaller jobs before. Customer service is always excellent - friendly and personal. I'm not totally sure how their costs compare to others, but would definitely use again.

We would like to thoroughly recommend Square Deals Ltd. We ordered a new composite front door from them. The service was friendly, fast and efficient from the initial order through the survey to the fitting. The two fitters James and Pete did a fabulous job. Despite the door frame being tricky to install, around some existing gas and electrical pipes, they completed the job safely and tidily. We are incredibly happy and would not hesitate to use them again for any windows or doors.

Two old UPVC windows at my house were in urgent need of replacement. The guys from Square Deal did a lovely job. The new windows look so much better and substantially reduce draughts and condensation. The site was left spotless. A very thorough professional job at a fair price.

The team at Square Deals were fantastic every step of the process -- excellent communication, on time to every appointment, and made extra effort to turn around our installation quickly to fit around our house move. Christmas came early, I didn't expect to get my windows done before the big day. The guys turned up and got on with the job and were finished mid afternoon on the last day. Just had an external bi-fold door fitted. The door was delivered within quoted timeframe and we were given 4 days notice of fitting. I was expecting our new patio doors to be fitted in September but I was delighted to be called and offered the fitting at short notice a month early. The guys were real professionals and took care to make sure all the finishing touches were to our liking. Despite the door taking approx. 11 weeks to arrive (we were warned about this anyway when ordering it) we had a very positive experience with Square Deals Our fitter, James, went above and beyond for us, especially because the door didn't convince me when I first saw it, since I was under the impression we had ordered something different (I was wrong) James took the time to explain why the door was the way it was and he managed to make me like it in the end. His work was very neat and he was really friendly, patient and understanding throughout. He even returned for a second visit to fix a gap between the door and the floor - something that probably was out of his remit but it really made a massive difference. We would recommend Square Deals for the quality of the door and also for the friendly and attentive to detail staff.

Over the past 10 years we have used Square Deals to replace our front door and a number of windows in our house and conservatory. The latest job was to replace an internal door with a fully glazed unit. As we always expect, Square Deals’ excellent customer service starts from the moment you first contact them. The initial consultation is always thoroughly professional and honest, as is the job survey. The installation service is always swift and carried out to the highest standard. That was definitely the case with the latest job, which was completed to our complete satisfaction with no mess and minimal disruption.

Over the past five years Square Deals have replaced all our external Doors and Windows of our Bungalow. From Sales, Surveyors, Office Staff or Fitters the service is always great. You are listened to, advice proffered or reasons given why something is not possible. All snags are fixed within a reasonable period. When we called as unfortunately one of our doors had a blown window, the service for replacement under the guarantee was swift. I would highly recommend Square Deals.

We live in a period property and therefore it was not possible to have double glazing fitted. We were nervous about how good the period windows would look when covered by secondary glazing. We were assured that the units would not compromise the look of our windows and they were absolutely right. We are delighted with the final result, including secondary glazing for a very large bay window. They block out the road noise (we live on a very busy main road) and keep the house warm. In addition, the team at Square Deals are fantastic from David and Emma who dealt with admin issues to Barry, the salesman, Craig who came to measure up, James and Mike who fitted the units and Donald who came to problem-solve as our house because of its age was not a straightforward job. We are delighted with our experience and the product.

We have just had both a front and rear door fitted by this company. From our first contact with them in their showroom in York we were impressed by their helpful, informal and friendly (but not over-familiar) attitude and that continued through the home assessment and measuring visits and the final installation. Good workmanship and attention to detail - minimised the creation of dust and cleaned as they went along too. Polite and competent fitters. Payment after completion. Door - seems to be exactly what it was supposed to be. Good quality, well-built, fitted securely and the joints with the existing walls have been left neat and tidy. Square Deals did excellent work for me at my previous home. Today they fitted a new front door in my new home. It turned out to be hard work getting the old door frame off but they did a fabulous job. The door itself is brilliant and I'm more than pleased with it. The fitting was done with great care and attention and the finishing off, both internally and externally, is faultless. They very kindly removed the existing wall-mounted external mail box (I couldn't shift one of the screws) and they also pointed up the holes where it had attached to the wall - it's an invisible pointing job so I'm very pleased. I visited their premises in York twice and always found the staff very helpful - and patient - as I considered the options. Exceedingly delighted with the result and, again, impressed with all aspects of the process. 5* recommendation.

This company replaced some 16 windows and patio door in our Georgian Villa. The design matched the originals, which were in various states of depreciation. Having obtained 4 quotes all from Which recommended traders, visiting their showroom and doing extensive research, we came to the conclusion that this company offered the best deal. The quote was considerably less than the others (they were offering 20% discount) and they were the only company who didn’t require a deposit, but payment on satisfactory completion. On such a big job this was extremely helpful due to the time from placing the order to completion. This was several weeks but in part due to our summer holiday . The workers turned up as arranged, 2 on the first day and 4 on the following 3. The whole job was completed in 5 days. The chaps were polite and hard working and cleared up really well at the end of each day. The completed job looks wonderful, and original to the house, so we are looking forward to a warmer winter!

I had 11 windows replaced and I was very pleased with the service from start to finish. Barry came out to give me a quote which was very competitive and he was very knowledgeable about the product and was the only person to mention the dummy sashes which I would recommend. I called into the showroom to look at the patterned glass for the bathrooms and again he was very helpful. I had a surveyor to measure up accurately then the work took place earlier than quoted. The fitters, James and Steve, did an excellent job and were very conscientious about putting dust sheets down etc. and a supervisor came to the house a couple of times while the work was underway to check that everything was going well. We had a number of conversations about the surrounds and sills so they ensured that I got the result that I wanted. The work was completed to a very high standard and I could not be happier. I paid the full amount on completion and would not hesitate to recommend Square Deals. I will use again when I can afford new doors.

It it the third time I have used this company, this alone says it all. Every time their team finished the job there was never any mess to clear up, very efficient and professionals. As well as no putting any pressure on me on their quote it states "invoice payable only on completion of work and complete satisfaction". I will definitely use them again and would highly recommend them.

Square Deals responded quickly to our request for a quote, and happy to quote for both a double and triple glazed argon window. Our request to replace the windowsill with one that would be wide enough to allow for 100mm insulation added to the inside of the wall was no problem. They also took on board our rather complicated contact details - different numbers for different days of the week. The work was done quickly, efficiently and with minimal mess. My only quibble is that I would have liked the quote to have included the VAT.

The service has been just excellent as is the standard of work on the finished product - a new front door and porch frontage. Two bay windows replaced and a pair of french doors! Excellent process flow from initial contact to installation of what are very good products. Loyalty discount as returning customer. Contract paperwork straightforward, covering pertinent points and thoroughly setting out the business and quotation in plain English. Efficient work at premises carried out in a neat and timely manner with hardly any cleaning up after the polite fitters left. All debris removed from site for disposal. True, further visits were required just to finish off the work to the required standards. However, to this end there was no quibble to points I raised as requiring attention in order to fully accept installation and pay in full. High focus on customer service, quality of product and good working relationship with the customer. A local company that deserves to serve the city long term.

Superb product at a good price! From first stepping into the show room we felt very welcome and at no time was there any pushy sales talk, discussed our requirements, Visited a few days later to measure up for a quote, which was sent a few days later. Once we decided to proceed (possible 2 weeks +) we went to place the order, arrangements were made for the surveyor to visit who talked though our requirements, and confirmed our needs. Six to seven weeks later (as arranged the fitters arrived) who we found very friendly and very professional, the work was carried out to a high standard, taking great care no too damage decorations etc, the finish to our 2 bays and two other windows look excellent, we are really please with all the team at Square Deal Windows at York and would have no problems with fully recommending them to others.

I had 8 windows and a composite door fitted by Square Deals. The door was a bespoke colour, but they were still able to start work earlier than the quoted date which was great. The fitters were very professional, always laying dust sheets and vacuuming up every time they left for the day. The windows and doors are even better than I had hoped for. Highly recommended.

This company was recommended to me and I haven't been disappointed . As usual I got 3 quotes for the same work (new door and replacement large windows ) and they came out the best. They delivered what I wanted even though it was "bespoke" to me. All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The fitters were courteous and respectful - removing their shoes when coming into the house. Their work was excellent. I've just had two new composite doors fitted by Square Deals and the quality of the product and their staff is still as good as it was five years ago when I used them. Superb product at a great price!! The company did not ask for payment, (not even a deposit) until the work was completed satisfactorily. This company is not remotely pushy or sales-driven which is very refreshing. The emphasis was on customer service and assisting us to find the right solution for our needs. We had 11 uPVC Sash and 2 casement windows replaced over a 3 day period. From start to finish all staff were extremely helpful, polite and efficient in the provision of their service. This was all that we had hoped for, as we had received so many positive comments from other customers locally. Their reputation was fully justified and although we had worried over the provision of wood effect uPVC vs really wood, the quality of the windows and the fitting was fantastic. Everything about this company shows how much they care about their customers. From the initial quote to the final installation, every step was clearly explained. Any questions were answered to my satisfaction quickly and efficiently. The installation of 6 windows and two doors took 2 days. The fitters were polite, incredibly tidy, and exercised respect for my home and it's contents. I highly recommend this company. The finished result was way above my expectations. If it weren't for the new windows and doors you wouldn't have known workmen had been. Every last bit of debris was cleared away, including all the old fitting. A national company quoted 3x what this company charged and I really don't think the national could have done a better job.

Square Deal quoted for and undertook the replacement of 6 windows and a front door to our house we are living in and refurbishing.
