The water leak was identified quickly and part sourced. Next day fitted. Boiler service flagged up a couple of rusty parts - given cost of new parts and age of old boiler >10yrs we opted for a new ECO make. Job done quickly with great communication and left very clean and tidy. Reasonably priced great service.

Ciaran responded very promptly to our callout to change a severely leaking bathroom tap. He removed the old tap, which was a tricky removal as there was heavy corrosion underneath and the tap had to be cut out. He supplied and fitted the new tap, which is working great, looks much better than the old tap, and I am delighted to report there are no more leaks. Ciaran left the bathroom spotless after he finished the job and I would not hesitate to recommend him as an excellent plumber.

I can truly recommend Stelfox Plumbing. I recently had a new Combi Boiler installed, and Ciaran is probably the best engineer I’ve had the privilege to work with. His work ethics & attention to details were perfect. He removed unnecessary old piping to install a cleaner & much more efficient system. Our 4th time using Stelfox Plumbing & Heating, this time to replace all the radiators in the house. As expected, we were extremely pleased with the final result. Ciaran paid great attention to ensure the radiator placement was perfect and that the pipework was symmetrical. Certain radiators were trickier to replace than others, but despite the extra work, Ciaran was very fair with the pricing. Would highly recommend and will definitely use again in the future.

Ciaran recently replaced a seized shower unit built into the wall. He did so with great care and managed to match the new tiles with much older tiles. Ciaran is very professional and his service is efficient. We have used Ciaran numerous times for drainage issues and repiping and cistern replacement and the service has been fantastic! Highly recommended for any plumbing works!

I needed a gas supply to a new hob which is being fitted shortly. I telephoned Ciaran (Stelfox Plumbing and Heating) and left a message for him asking him to call me back which he did promptly. We arranged a date and time for the job. On the morning of my job, there were traffic problems which delayed Ciaran slightly but he texted me to let me know he was stuck in traffic and that he was on the way. I really appreciated this because then I knew he was on his way. No other tradesmen I have engaged in the past has done this and often I have been left waiting and wondering if they were still going to arrive. Ciaran installed the new gas pipe for the new gas hob. The job was neat and fitted against the wall perfectly even taking into consideration the wall was wonky as it is a period property. Ciaran worked quietly and cleaned up and hoovered after he had finished. I have engaged many plumbers and heating engineers over the years and I can honestly say that Ciaran is the best. He is polite and listens to you and is very professional in every aspect. He is very respectful to the property and has always done a fantastic job for me every time I have needed work done. We telephoned Ciaran and asked him if he could look at two radiators that had stopped working. He arrived promptly on the agreed day and identified the problems very quickly. He fixed one radiator straight away and is returning to fix the other one. Whilst he was on site, Ciaran carried out our annual boiler and megaflo cylinder service and completed the necessary paperwork. Ciaran has carried out extensive heating and plumbing work to our property and we would not consider engaging anyone else because he is punctual, a very good communicator, tidy, clean and very polite and moreover he is an excellent heating engineer and plumber. He is very diligent and listens to any concerns or ideas you may have. We would not hesitate to recommend Ciaran for any heating or plumbing work you may need.

This is our second time using Ciaran. Like last time, the quality of work was impeccable. We required the piping in the kitchen to be redone as it was extremely old and rusted, as well as requiring additional outlets for a dishwasher. All work was carried out in a timely and efficient manner, with great attention to detail. If things like symmetry and perfect lines bother you, I highly recommend Ciaran, he makes extra effort to ensure it is not just functional but looks good too. We will always use him for any future plumbing/heating jobs.

Ciaran was quick to respond to initial contact. He helped identify the problem on WhatsApp and as a result I was able to order the replacement cartridge for the shower mixer. As a result he only needed an hour or so on the day to fix the problem. Saving multiple visits. Tidy, Friendly and on time. Would definitely recommend.

Ciaran was clearly a very professional plumber from the outset, as well as also being cool, calm, and collected, and rapidly brought the offending leakage problem under control, as well as leaving the site clean and tidy. Ciaran is a very professional Worker, he replaced 2 central heating radiators and He did an excellent job. He was punctual and left the site clean and tidy. I would highly recommend Ciaran if you want a job well done by a reliable tradesman.

Work done: 2 port zone faulty on hot water coil letting by when it should not. Isolation and partial drain down of the heating system. Existing 2 port zone valve unwired and removed and new 2 port zone valve supplied, wired and tested. We had a lot of plumbing and central heating work done earlier this year (2022) with Ciaran. During that work Ciaran noticed that the zone valve (as mentioned above) was letting by informing us that it was increasing our costs because of the malfunction. Ciaran returned and replaced the faulty valve. As usual he was punctual, informing us what time he would arrive, very polite as usual and did a neat and excellent job once again. He made sure everything was working correctly before he departed and he left the premises clean and tidy. I would not hesitate to recommend Ciaran to anybody that requires any plumbing or heating work. We will need further plumbing and gas work shortly for a new kitchen and Ciaran is going to do that. For the first time I am not worried about it because I know Ciaran will do an excellent job.

We used Ciaran to upgrade our 20 year old boiler and despite it being a complex job, he was able to complete it to an exceptional standard and in the projected timeframe. Due to the age of the boiler, new piping was required for which carpets and floor boards needed to be lifted. Roof tiles needed to be moved to push the new flue through. Despite the complexity, Ciaran displayed complete confidence every step of the way. He was able to answer any questions I had and was very reassuring. I am extremely satisfied with the end result and would not hesitate for a second recommending Ciaran to my family and friends. He is extremely knowledgeable, and has complete confidence in his abilities. Even though a lot a problem arose due to the age of the boiler, he never once displayed any hesitation and knew exactly how to tackle everything. Not only did he do a remarkable job, his attention to detail is excellent. He ensured that everything looked neat and clean, all the pipework was perfectly aligned with all the excess cut out, all the wiring was tucked away, drilling was done exactly to size to pass pipes through, all the floor boards and carpets put back exactly as they were, all rubbish was removed. I can honestly say, moving forward I will always use him for any plumbing/heating jobs that come up as I have complete peace of mind that the job will be carried out by a professional. Overall, highly recommended!

Earlier this year Ciaron installed a Worcester Bosch Greenstar boiler and fitted new copper pipework in the kitchen and hallway. The downstairs heating did not work efficiently which was baffling so he returned to investigate the problem. He methodically checked all the pipework, radiator valves and the radiators and would not give up until he had found the problem. We were very relieved. As usual he worked quietly, cleanly and diligently. If we need any further work in the future, we will not hesitate to engage Ciaron. He will be carrying out an annual service on our boiler and system every year from now on. In addition to the said work, he found a problem with a valve in relation to the Megaflo which we were not aware of so he is returning to replace it in the near future. He pointed out that once we start using the heating, it will cost us more money if it isn't fixed which was very helpful. Again, we would not hesitate to recommend Ciaron.

My boiler needed a service so I used this site to find a service engineer. The 1st to come up was Stelfox Plumbing and heating and as they were close I contacted them. I'm glad I did. I stressed there was no hurry, but nevertheless a convenient date was arranged. I received a text in advance of his arrival, and he came on time and completed a thorough service. Ciaran left the place as he found it. A professional and courteous service all round.

Ciaran has carried out a wide variety of work for us, which involved installing a new Worcester Bosch wall hung boiler, a new radiator, replacing a shower valve (including making good), running extensive new gas and water pipes and creating new drain outlets. Ciaran’s work has been absolutely exceptional in all cases. Refreshingly, he has carried out difficult investigations and given much thought to the work, coming up with creative solutions which saved us a lot more work overall. Ciaran is very polite, articulate, approachable, extremely skilled, punctual, clean and tidy. Additionally, he listens carefully and is excellent at communicating at all stages. We have further work to be done in the future and feel relieved that finally we have found a gas engineer/plumber that we can trust to do the work professionally. We highly recommend Ciaran.

I sent Ciaran some photos of the area under the sink that would be required to access the job. He came back very quickly with a recommendation of the make of tap and a fair price. I have used Stelfox Plumbing & Heating several times. This time it was to replace a radiator valve and to look at a faulty shower. The valve was replaced and now works perfectly.
