About

We are a local family run business established in 1994, incorporated in 2008, with many years of experience installing quality home improvements. Our main specialities are upvc windows and doors, Composite or Ali doors, but we can accommodate most property home improvements. We also offer a repair service for older installations of double glazing.

Although based in Steyning, we work anywhere within the Sussex area.

Steve Franklin and Sons take care to install only quality, high performance products and provide our customers with superior levels of customer service. This means that we do not need to use high pressure sales and do very little advertising, as much of our business comes through recommendation and repeat business.

Domestic installations are covered by a 10 year Insurance backed guarantee.

We are:

Members of FENSA (since its launch in 2002) and abide by Part L of building regulations.
Members of West Sussex County Council Trading Standards 'Buy with Confidence' scheme.

All the windows and doors in our house were replaced. This included 11 windows, 3 sets of French doors each having 2 side windows and a front door. The work was completed on schedule and within the price quoted which was a very reasonable price. Steve and Richard with occasional help from Chris were just exceptional. The care taken in the installation was first class and it was so helpful to be fully informed and updated on how and what was being done each day. The quality of their work and attention to detail was outstanding. The finishing off work was just perfection and Richard, in particular would spend a great deal of time ensuring everything was 100%. A lovely friendly family company who are so helpful and take so much pride in their work. A thank you to Lesley as well for her patience with all of our questions. We are two very happy customers and highly recommend Franklins.

They replaced 10 double glazed windows including 4 bays and reinstated the shutters. The work was carried out on time and as per the quotation. They were very professional, helpful and tidy. We have used the Franklins before as they fitted our bifold doors and would highly recommend them.

The Franklins fitted ten new windows (including a bay), a bi-fold patio door and a rear door. They were a pleasure to deal with from day one to the completion of the work. They completed the work on schedule and on budget. They were happy to listen to what we wanted and gave helpful advice throughout. They were very professional and took pride in the quality of their work. I would recommend them to anyone thinking of having similar work carried out.

This is the 3rd time that I have used Steve & Richard to do work for me. Moved home last November and needed a new front door and porch door. Based on my previous experiences they were the natural choice. I didn't even bother getting a separate quote to compare as I trust their prices and quality of work. It took a while to get the porch door but this was due to manufacture, as they have to be bespoke made due to having an arch. The work was completed to a very high standard. Steve & Richard worked late to get the bulk of the job done on first day, then came back the next morning to finish off. Really pleased with the finished look. Good communication from Lesley as to what and when. Would recommend to anyone thinking of having any work done. It may take a bit longer to get a slot for work to be done but worth the wait for the finished product. Thanks
