A family-owned company Liz, Richard and Gio were an absolute pleasure to deal with. We needed replacement windows to our 1806 period property. Richard came to survey and was very friendly and patient, discussing the options in a relaxed and non-pushy manner. We were concerned about disturbing some of the structure of the period building if we completely replaced the frames which Richard understood and didn't try to persuade us to go for the more expensive option. We decided to just replace and upgrade the sealed units. Richard and his assistant Gio carried out the work in a professional friendly and conscientious manner, they went the extra mile doing some repairs, new handles etc and cleaning the old frames so they look almost new again. Throughout the job we felt involved in the process as Richard & Gio discussed everything with us as work progressed and were keen to ensure we were happy All within the agreed price which was very reasonable compared to other quotes. They treated our old house with care and left it in a clean and tidy condition. We wouldn't hesitate to use Franklin & Sons again and have no reservations in highly recommending them.

We engaged Steve Franklin & Sons to replace all of our windows and three of our doors. The entire experience has been excellent. The initial engagement provided us with clear information, and there was absolutely no hard-sell. Pricing was clear, and no fees were required until we were fully happy with all of the installation. In addition to replacing the windows, we were given some excellent advice on insulation with a couple of our bay windows where we had clearly been losing significant heat in the past. The team added vastly improved insulation in these areas for us, all as part of the installation. All of the work performed was of excellent quality, and the end result looks fantastic. Nothing was rushed, and we were kept really well informed throughout the process. All in all we were honestly delighted with the entire experience. Overall we found this to be a polite, experienced and skilled business offering quality results and very fair value for money.

All the windows and doors in our house were replaced. This included 11 windows, 3 sets of French doors each having 2 side windows and a front door. The work was completed on schedule and within the price quoted which was a very reasonable price. Steve and Richard with occasional help from Chris were just exceptional. The care taken in the installation was first class and it was so helpful to be fully informed and updated on how and what was being done each day. The quality of their work and attention to detail was outstanding. The finishing off work was just perfection and Richard, in particular would spend a great deal of time ensuring everything was 100%. We received a quote that we were happy with and agreed an installation date. Richard arrived at the agreed time and completed the work to a very high standard. There was very little disruption and no mess left afterwards.

They replaced 10 double glazed windows including 4 bays and reinstated the shutters. The work was carried out on time and as per the quotation. They were very professional, helpful and tidy. We have used the Franklins before as they fitted our bifold doors and would highly recommend them.

This is the 3rd time that I have used Steve & Richard to do work for me. Moved home last November and needed a new front door and porch door. Based on my previous experiences they were the natural choice. I didn't even bother getting a separate quote to compare as I trust their prices and quality of work. It took a while to get the porch door but this was due to manufacture, as they have to be bespoke made due to having an arch. The work was completed to a very high standard. Steve & Richard worked late to get the bulk of the job done on first day, then came back the next morning to finish off. Really pleased with the finished look. Good communication from Lesley as to what and when. Would recommend to anyone thinking of having any work done. Eight double-glazed windows were replaced. Work was carried out on time and with the minimum of disruption. Everything finished very professionally. Any issues were swiftly resolved.

Steve and Richard replaced two doors and two old double glazed panes of glass. There were supply issues, partly caused by the lock-down, and the family kept us informed throughout. Once on site, they worked quickly and efficiently, doing a very neat job, and tidying up carefully afterwards. The products they supplied are good quality. They were both very pleasant and helpful, giving us maintenance tips and advice before they left. They were recommended to us by a neighbour, and we would recommend them to anyone.

They replaced all my many doors and windows efficiently and tidily. Good planning and good service. Very impressive. Steve likes Jaffa Cakes and Digestive biscuits and one lump of sugar in his tea! His son Richard is less demanding. Chris thinks he is more handsome than brother Richard. All three are very professional and very friendly. The fabulous Franklins. We have used Steve Franklin & Sons Ltd for all our glazing requirements over the last 20 years and we are always impressed with their skill and level of service. Being a family owned business they take more care and concern over the work than more corporate outfits from the initial survey to the actual fitting. We have never felt they had anything other than an interest in doing a first class job for a fair price. The most recent job involved replacing an old casement window with a new one and we are very pleased with the result. The installation took place whilst work on refurbishing the bathroom was taking place at the same time and they worked very well with the plumbers on site even lending them a sealant gun when theirs had broken! I have no hesitation in recommending SFS Ltd and would commend them to anybody looking for a trustworthy and reliable installer.

Nothing is too much trouble for this family run business. They have replaced a number of windows for me over the last few years. Would highly recommend.
