We are a local family run business established in 1994, incorporated in 2008, with many years of experience installing quality home improvements. Our main specialities are upvc windows and doors, Composite or Ali doors, but we can accommodate most property home improvements. We also offer a repair service for older installations of double glazing.
Although based in Steyning, we work anywhere within the Sussex area.
Steve Franklin and Sons take care to install only quality, high performance products and provide our customers with superior levels of customer service. This means that we do not need to use high pressure sales and do very little advertising, as much of our business comes through recommendation and repeat business.
Domestic installations are covered by a 10 year Insurance backed guarantee.

All the windows and doors in our house were replaced. This included 11 windows, 3 sets of French doors each having 2 side windows and a front door. The work was completed on schedule and within the price quoted which was a very reasonable price. Steve and Richard with occasional help from Chris were just exceptional. The care taken in the installation was first class and it was so helpful to be fully informed and updated on how and what was being done each day. The quality of their work and attention to detail was outstanding. The finishing off work was just perfection and Richard, in particular would spend a great deal of time ensuring everything was 100%. A lovely friendly family company who are so helpful and take so much pride in their work. A thank you to Lesley as well for her patience with all of our questions. We are two very happy customers and highly recommend Franklins.

This is the 3rd time that I have used Steve & Richard to do work for me. Moved home last November and needed a new front door and porch door. Based on my previous experiences they were the natural choice. I didn't even bother getting a separate quote to compare as I trust their prices and quality of work. It took a while to get the porch door but this was due to manufacture, as they have to be bespoke made due to having an arch. The work was completed to a very high standard. Steve & Richard worked late to get the bulk of the job done on first day, then came back the next morning to finish off. Really pleased with the finished look. Good communication from Lesley as to what and when. Would recommend to anyone thinking of having any work done. It may take a bit longer to get a slot for work to be done but worth the wait for the finished product. Thanks

Steve and Richard replaced two doors and two old double glazed panes of glass. There were supply issues, partly caused by the lock-down, and the family kept us informed throughout. Once on site, they worked quickly and efficiently, doing a very neat job, and tidying up carefully afterwards. The products they supplied are good quality. They were both very pleasant and helpful, giving us maintenance tips and advice before they left. They were recommended to us by a neighbour, and we would recommend them to anyone.

It took a while for our order to be achieved but a clear explanation was provided. 'The guys' were fantastic. Our old windows were in a terrible state and badly bodged, so the job took longer than predicted in order to obtain a fantastic finish. They worked with my builder to finalise some finishing details and co-ordinate brickwork with window fitting. Great job. Great guys.

We have used Steve Franklin & Sons Ltd for all our glazing requirements over the last 20 years and we are always impressed with their skill and level of service. Being a family owned business they take more care and concern over the work than more corporate outfits from the initial survey to the actual fitting. We have never felt they had anything other than an interest in doing a first class job for a fair price. The most recent job involved replacing an old casement window with a new one and we are very pleased with the result. The installation took place whilst work on refurbishing the bathroom was taking place at the same time and they worked very well with the plumbers on site even lending them a sealant gun when theirs had broken! I have no hesitation in recommending SFS Ltd and would commend them to anybody looking for a trustworthy and reliable installer.

Steve gave valued and constructive advice about replacing a dormer window on our house in a conservation area. The subsequent work was carried out to a very high standard by Richard and Chris, involving some work which had not, and could not have, been foreseen. Throughout, we were kept advised of progress and the extra repair work. The result is a window that enhances the visual appearance of the house, whilst at the same time improving insulation. They replaced our original, bay, lounge sash windows with new double glazed ones, to match the upstairs ones they had done for us previously...... I used Steve and his sons following a recommendation by a neighbour. The job included removal and replacement of a large (4m x 2m) window and a similar sized sliding door unit. it's not an easy site to work on with limited access but they worked efficiently and quickly and got the whole job completed in two days. They kept everything tidy and the new aluminium units looks wonderful. They were always courteous and polite and willing to explain what they were doing as the new units were assembled and fitted. It was a pleasure having them working on my home and I would recommend them to anyone.

Installation of new wooden windows to very old house. As Steve Franklin removed one of the old windows the brick surrounds started to collapse. He & his Son repaired the brick work diligently and without a fuss, beyond their remit. The installation of all of the windows was meticulous, efficient, clean & tidy, adding some unexpected touches. More than delighted with the company & a very smart high quality product. Thank you Steve & Son and for making good to what could have been a serious problem. Our new windows have way improved the look of the house.

Fitted a new shop front window, after I found my window cracked. Rung Frankling and they came out within a few hours they made it safe, ordered the glaze and gave me a quote in a matter of hours. The job was finished in a week (waiting time for other glazers). I asked them to come early so as to not disturb my shop running. They did arrive at 8AM, very grateful and they even swept up the path out of the front of my shop.

Initial consultation for an 8 sided Victorian conservatory was very thorough. The work was carried out in a clean, prompt and professional manner and a very attentive follow up to minor snags. They were slightly let down by the speed of their response to questions via email; however this is a result of them being a small family run business that is extremely well regarded and thus busy.
