I started out 30 years ago as a carpenter working on the building sites, working with architects, engineers, i then progressed onto working alongside other trades, plastering, plumbing, tiling, etc. expanding my skills, i now work for myself, i design, plan and complete all my jobs myself. I have found the best thing about having one man on the job i stay focused on the design which does not get lost when you have a multitude of men coming through the door plus the job does not get held up waiting for a trade to arrive.
I have never advertised my business, all my work comes via word of mouth, just ordinary folk passing me on because i did a nice job in their home and listened to what they wanted.
I love my job, it`s just a bonus to make a living doing what i love doing, looking at the bigger picture and putting something forward which no one else has thought of but makes their job just that little bit better, nothing is ever too much trouble at all.
I am very lucky to have worked for some great people.
