Surrey Hills Removals recently carried out our house move over 5 days and I was very impressed with them from start to end. When Nick (the MD) first came to give me a quote, he reassured me that SHR do everything to make the house move go smoothly. I fully trusted Nick, he seemed very relaxed and yet professional. I must say, I was given the same reassurance about the move going smoothly from other removal companies at the quote stage, however it was only when I started looking at the details that I realised that actually these companies operate complex and not very user-friendly processes. They also had many more restrictions and disclaimers whereas Nick was very accommodating and reassuring. I really enjoyed dealing with SHR, they were all extremely helpful, from people in the office (Richard, Lesley, Mark) to the guys delivering boxes to me and then doing the move. The removal team were very friendly and thoughtful and took great care when moving things - it literally was a pleasure to move with them! Danny, who led the whole move, had a great way of working with his team and was very thoughtful and proactive, for instance, he would check that we were happy with the position of furniture in the new house, access to plugs etc. and offered to relocate any items in the event their original location wasn’t suitable and/or we changed our mind. Great job, I would highly recommend to others.

As soon as I phoned Surrey Hills Removals I was looked after by a very friendly and helpful guy from the Sales team, Richard. Further conversations with his colleague Nick confirmed the companies positive attitude and Mark in the Operations team was super helpful and flexible with my requests of removal timings etc. Tom and Andy who actually carried out the move were great - again friendly and helpful and certainly know their stuff about the items they were moving - namely the very old large Grandfather clock. They managed the move efficiently and respectfully and always with a smile on their faces. I can't thank them enough. I would highly recommend Surrey Hills Removals to anyone else as I cannot fault any member of the team who I dealt with. What a pleasure to have a full 100%/360 degree customer service these days.

Fantastic team. Totally stress free. We were slightly delayed in getting the keys released to our new home. The team from Surrey Hills were calm and patient, then fired into action as soon as we got in.

Called Surrey Hills Removals as they had moved me before. Told they were very busy and it would take 2 weeks for survey and quote. I Booked survey for quote regardless as I had used them before. They told me they had penciled in my move date. I had to call to remind them that they were due to survey my move as they were late to arrive and had basically forgot. I was then told that even if they came to survey they couldn’t move me on the day required. All this after waiting 2 weeks. Moronic approach to business and customer relations.

Everything was packed up beautifully. Surrey Hills waited patiently until we could go into the new home. They then put everything where it was needed with no hassle. The whole move was done in a relaxed and helpful manner.

Surrey Hills Removals service was excellent. I had to postpone last minute the booking due to illness which they agreed to do without penalty fee. The team on the day were friendly and efficient, did a good job of protecting my furniture during transport and caused no damage to fixtures/fittings or paintwork when bringing my cargo indoors. They were diligent about protecting also my new carpets. I would happily use their services again and recommend them to anyone.

We went for the packing and removal service. We had a great moving experience-the guys were efficient, friendly and tidy-we didn’t lift a finger. Everything was packed well, and properly labeled with no breakages/damage to the property or the house and boxes put into the correct rooms in the new house. Would highly recommend-stress free experience!

Surrey Hill’s weren’t the cheapest quote but they were the only firm to make a personal visit to supply a quote, and unprompted, guaranteed the work wouldn’t be outsourced. Grant ran both the packing day and moving day smoothly and efficiently. The team were cheerful and efficient and packed and moved our things with no damage. I have no hesitation in recommending Surrey Hills.

Arrived promptly introduced themselves. Once shown around the house they just cracked on and packed all our belongings with speed and care. All my questions, there was quite a few. Answered to my satisfaction. Unpacking our house the next day once again could not fault there approach to the job that needed to be done. Would not hesitate to use them again.

Due to a very short gap between exchange and completion, we had very little time (3 days) to organise our house move. 3 quotes showed Surrey Hills as not the cheapest but a very positive friend’s recommendation and the “can do” attitude during the personal (ie not video) quote visit convinced us to go with them. So glad we did. They were brilliant! Nothing too much trouble, “yes we can” to all and any requests we made, positive and very friendly crew throughout despite moving into a town house on 4 floors (loads of steps). No extras, no breakages, no complaints. Moving is a very stressful business but the Surrey Hills team made it as smooth and pain-free as possible. Highly recommended.

We dont move house that often, our last was 12 years ago. I picked Surrey Hills from a positive statement from a neighbour that had used them. I only went to one removal co, and as moving house is stressful enough, wasn't prepared to compromise, and I was right. They were extremely good with working to our completion dates that changed like the wind, and prior to the move say, Dave thier chargehand and packer was a star, and couldn't do enough to help. On teh day all of the chaps were extremely polite and helpful. The whole thing was extremely well executed and I have no hesitation in recommending them. Dont scrimp on fees, you simply need this to happen like clockwork, and for us, it did.

Having moved a fair few times, including internationally, I can say with confidence that this move was the smoothest and least stressful experience I have ever had. The team were efficient and professional, and the packing (which we opted for with no regrets!) was high quality with no shortcuts. Not only would I recommend their full service to others, they are guaranteed my business should I ever move again!

Surrey Hills provided an excellent service moving us out of our home into a rental house and providing storage services. Communication was great and everything went very smoothly. One team member even took the time to visit the new property to check sufficient site access for their large vehicles. Having not moved for 28 years and never used the services of a removal company, I approached my recent move with a high degree of anxiety! I need not have worried! From start to finish, Surrey Hills Removals were efficient and helpful. The teams that stood out were the teams that completed the packing up, the move to the new address and unloading. I had been told by friends that they would wrap and pack everything, and I didn't believe it, BUT that is exactly what happened. The team literally told us to go and sit down whilst they packed everything. On moving in day they also called for assistance to unload from another team that had finished their assignment, which meant unloading was completed in two hours. When they unloaded, the two teams worked hard to get my belongings into my new address swiftly. They put my belongings exactly where I wanted them and even moved them when I changed my mind.... including a bed and garden table. They also reassembled items. I have a lot of crystal, and NOTHING was broken. The team of six men who packed, moved and unloaded were enormously kind and helpful, I could not have asked for more! The Monday after I moved, I emailed the office to ask if the packing boxes and paper could be collected - they were at my house around 90 minutes later and my garage was cleared of the boxes and packaging - brilliant service. Very happy with this company and I would have no hesitation in recommending them

We decide to use Surrey Hills Removals for our move because they were listed as a Which trusted trader, and we were not disappointed. We were provided with boxes to pack ourselves, as we requested, and these arrived leaving us plenty of time to avoid any panic. Staff were always friendly and helpful and behaved like they enjoyed what they were doing. Everything happened exactly when we were told it would throughout.
