We were a little apprehensive about whether or not the slight premium in fees was going to be worth it but I can happily say we couldn't be more pleased. Moving is always going to be a stressful and tiring process but choosing the right moving company can go a long way towards reducing this and was very much the case for us with Surrey Hills Removals. Ahead of time sending a generous amount of boxes (we opted to pack things ourselves) and super organised across the two days in what felt as smooth a moving process as you could hope for. Special call out to Dave and Kevin - nothing fazed them and I appreciated the care and attention they gave every aspect of the move. We will certainly be using them again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Professional from start to finish. Easy to arrange a visit for a quote, and good information ahead of time about the move itself. The team on the moving days were great - whirlwinds of efficiency but also very accommodating of me working from home and my daughter “helping” to pack toys. I really appreciated the thoughtfulness with which they arranged furniture at the other end!

We dont move house that often, our last was 12 years ago. I picked Surrey Hills from a positive statement from a neighbour that had used them. I only went to one removal co, and as moving house is stressful enough, wasn't prepared to compromise, and I was right. They were extremely good with working to our completion dates that changed like the wind, and prior to the move say, Dave thier chargehand and packer was a star, and couldn't do enough to help. On teh day all of the chaps were extremely polite and helpful. The whole thing was extremely well executed and I have no hesitation in recommending them. Dont scrimp on fees, you simply need this to happen like clockwork, and for us, it did.

Really great experience from quote through to box pick up. Very straight forward, no hidden charges, the team kept in touch while we played the waiting game on dates, but didn't hassle. And then, the move. What a great bunch of guys. Worked really hard, communicated expectations well, brilliant with the dog :-) Felt like a service plus. They didn't just move us, but when we realised a couple of bits of furniture were in the wrong place, they were happy to move them. They didn't grumble about the rain or the horrible hill they had to climb to get to our new house. You will struggle to find better more friendly service! Also great vans - particularly the Lutons!

This is the third time we've used Surrey Hill Removals. They were a huge help when a family member had just over a week to move out of rented accommodation. They supplied boxes and packing materials so we could pack some items ourselves. On moving day they showed up on time, with three friendly crew members who made light work of moving furniture and boxes down a flight of stairs from a first floor flat. They took great care packing and then unloading everything at the destination at which they arrived on time. The three person crew were polite, efficient and very helpful as we had to move things around a couple of times to get them to fit into the new place! The office staff are always friendly and helpful and we were grateful that they accommodated our deadline with such efficiency and care. We would definitely use Surrey Hills Removals again and highly recommend them for your next move. They are professionals who know how to get the job done well.

We recently used Surry Hills removals to move us 200 miles up the country. Have used the team in the past and would recommend them to anyone. The team there are highly experienced, friendly and really go the extra mile to get the job done.

Due to a very short gap between exchange and completion, we had very little time (3 days) to organise our house move. 3 quotes showed Surrey Hills as not the cheapest but a very positive friend’s recommendation and the “can do” attitude during the personal (ie not video) quote visit convinced us to go with them. So glad we did. They were brilliant! Nothing too much trouble, “yes we can” to all and any requests we made, positive and very friendly crew throughout despite moving into a town house on 4 floors (loads of steps). Surrey Hills removals did a wonderful job packing up our belongings, storing them for one week and returning them in excellent condition. They did this for a wedding we were having at our house and needed to clear out half the downstairs. Highly recommend.

These moved started in the middle of 2023 and were completed mid March 2024. Furniture and effects from 2 properties went via another property and Surrey Hills storage without any delay or damage to end up in a third property in Farnham. Everyone from the MD downwards were extremely accommodating with changing dates and plans. The crews, lead each time by Dave Boorer, were careful and very obliging. I have recommended Surrey Hills Removals to family and friends in the past and would never dream of using anyone else.

An excellent service provided from beginning to end by all members of our removal team. The team demonstrated efficiency, great communication skills and attention to detail and ensured that we were moved to our new home address in a kindly and friendly manner. There was good humour all the way, even when a hiccup occurred in the completion process and our impressions of them were first rate. They listened fully to our requirements throughout the process, taking time to double check packing and placing needs and were very supportive throughout the move.

We used Surrey Hills Removals following recommendations on the local Facebook page. We were very pleased with the professional and friendly service. Communication with head office was easy and helpful. The removals team were with us for 3 days and worked very hard. They took care with our possessions and were pleasant and considerate.

Surrey Hills organised the removals to my new house. They were efficient, timely, and they were friendly and hard working. All my belongings were well cared for and wrapped where necessary. The after care was also very good. I have used Surrey Hills Removals twice now and would definitely recommend them.

These guys gave a high level of confidence from the first estimation visit to the final unloading. During all phases of the 3-day packing and loading and 2-day unloading process, Grant and his team were cheerful, obliging, communicative, and careful. They were tolerant of a couple of last minute changes of where stuff should go. The service was excellent - nothing was broken, nothing was lost - what more could you want?

The work entailed a move out, possessions being split into for storage and for our rented house, and, then a year later, delivery out of store in instalments and out of the rented house into our new home. We had 9 or 10 containers in store Everything happened as it should - timely quote, all dates for the main moves adhered to and a minor change at the end easily accommodated. Staff throughout were unfailingly cheerful, friendly and helpful. Difficult combinations of dimensions of furniture and constricted access were dealt with efficiently. The key member of the physical moving team was the same throughout, providing welcome continuity. The office team was just as responsive and helpful. My wife and I were delighted. Not the cheapest quote (nor the most expensive) we received but we chose to pay more to get good service and we got it. So we would say good value for money. Any downsides/issues - not really and only worth mentioning to show how they were dealt with. An insignificant breakage during packing was immediately brought to our attention. They forgot to load our garden stoneware (not containerised but stored for the year at their depot outside) but rectified again immediately. Would we use Surrey Hills again. Without hesitation.

Arrived promptly introduced themselves. Once shown around the house they just cracked on and packed all our belongings with speed and care. All my questions, there was quite a few. Answered to my satisfaction. Unpacking our house the next day once again could not fault there approach to the job that needed to be done. Would not hesitate to use them again.

Surrey Hills Removals have just provided me with an excellent service, moving my belongings from North East Hampshire to the Welsh border. Communication was excellent and the teams who respectively took my stuff into storage and then moved it to Wales were super efficient and friendly. Surrey Hills Removals moved our furniture on a tight deadline into their storage facility before Christmas 2022 and then on to our new home in January. They gave us confidence in their abilities at all stages of the move, and despite variations to the schedule the work was completed on budget. Surrey Hill’s weren’t the cheapest quote but they were the only firm to make a personal visit to supply a quote, and unprompted, guaranteed the work wouldn’t be outsourced. We went for the packing and removal service. We had a great moving experience-the guys were efficient, friendly and tidy-we didn’t lift a finger. Everything was packed well, and properly labeled with no breakages/damage to the property or the house and boxes put into the correct rooms in the new house. Surrey Hills Removals service was excellent. I had to postpone last minute the booking due to illness which they agreed to do without penalty fee. The team on the day were friendly and efficient, did a good job of protecting my furniture during transport and caused no damage to fixtures/fittings or paintwork when bringing my cargo indoors. Surrey Removals provided an excellent service from the initial quotation, through the preparation and the actual move to tidying up the loose ends afterwards. All their management and staff did excellent work and were always helpful and careful.

Most importantly, will we use them again? The answer is 'yes'. They do what they say they would. The team has moved us twice now and each time on schedule and on budget. All team members that we have seen were friendly, helpful and responsive. I would only comment that some original oil paintings were not wrapped and stacked with other items in a box - luckily they were not damaged, but for the future we would recommend extra care when dealing with original works of art. It is possible that the person who was dealing with those particular pictures did not like them:)) but care was still due... most pictures were wrapped well, however. Overall, we were very happy customers. Thank you.

We all know how frustrating and mind numbing moving house can be, we were lucky enough to choose a real gem of a removals company in Surrey Hills Removals. Initially I thought I might do the removals myself, how glad was I that I enlisted the help of others, I never would have done it on my own, I do not know what I was thinking of. We enquired fairly last minute of three removals firms, one never responded, number two wanted to take a virtual tour on which to base their quotation, I was not impressed with this as I prefer the personal touch. Anyway Surrey Hills with little notice visited, in person, and assessed the job in hand. They provided what I believe for the service provided was a very reasonable quote, and the job was awarded to them. They moved work around to accommodate us, the chaps sent to do the removals were a true delight to have around, helpful, well informed and a credit to the company. Our move was not an easy one, but made easy by the experienced team at our service. I would like to thank all concerned and would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this company to others. We were generally pleased with the service. All the guys were very helpful, friendly and polite and did a thorough job of packing up fragile items etc. The disappointments we do have are: Some of the mahogany bedroom furniture was chipped in transit. We accepted this but we did contact Surrey Hills to say we had noticed that a couple of items were missing, one being a lampstand, and that we felt we were at least one box missing, if not two. Surrey Hills said they would look into it and two weeks later, have not come back to us. If it were not for this, we would be scoring their quality and customer service higher than we have. The other slight issue was that we had to dispose of all the boxes ourselves, once the van left us, as we were out of area for them to come back and collect them. We tried offering them to a local firm but in the end, had to take them to the tip.

We were.totally satisfied in our dealings with Surrey Hills Removals. They were extremely helpful in arranging our move, always ready to answer queries and I think went out of their way to be available when we were able to provide a completion date. The team of packers were very friendly and worked very efficiently and when we actually moved into the new house couldn’t be more helpful and accommodating. Surrey Hills Removals moved our things from Surrey to Berkshire over a planned 4 day move. The planning was good, the team was efficient and punctual, always polite and accommodating. There were a couple of issues to do with moving large furniture that left scrapes on the floor and bannister. The team did attempt to repair this at the time. If the team had their own power screwdrivers to quickly dismantle large pieces of furniture then this might have been avoided.

Very happy with the moving experience, although they were so quick I struggled to keep track of what was being put where when I got to my new home!

Our goods were removed from Godalming into storage where they stayed for 8 months whilst we sought our next house. The removal process worked exactly to timetable and was completed by a small team of people all of whom worked well together, were efficient and personable. Storage was pre-arranged and simple to organise. Communications with Nick and the admin team were dealt with promptly and effectively. Scheduling our delivery from storage to the Isle of Wight was efficient and it was a particularly nice feature to find some consistency amongst the delivery team with those who had undertaken the original packaging. Those on site at the house during both the packaging and delivery were courteous, helpful, respectful and efficient. Thoroughly satisfied with the service and would fully recommend them.

We had excellent service. Paul, Josh and Pete worked tirelessly packing glassware and crockery putting it with everything else in the van on Monday and unpacking it 300+ miles in the frozen north on Wednesday. The team we had from Surrey Hills Removals were very efficient and moved us on time and with a friendly approach. Having had dreadful experiences with national firms before it was great to find a local firm providing a good service. The team did our fragile pack and all went well, although if I were to improve anything it would be the contents labelling for these boxes as more details could have been captured (multiple 'China and glass' boxes) but this is a very minor thing. The furniture breakdown and rebuild was well done and without damage. I'd definitely recommend this business.

I've used Nick Caporn and his team at Surrey Removals numerous times over the past few years to move house the most recent of which was in October 21. I have always found then to be efficient , on time , polite and most importantly reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them .

We used Surrey Hills to move us at the end of June 2021 when the housing market was at its peak of madness with everyone trying to complete by the end of the month for the Stamp duty reduction. The Surrey Hills team was very helpful and accommodating in putting together our removals plan particularly when the arrangements seemed to be changing daily. They were also all very friendly and understanding of the stressful nature of the whole process of moving. I would definitely recommend them.

Our move occurred during the '2021 moving mania' period of early July. So we considered ourselves lucky to be allocated a week-long slot then. But our greatest luck was to have found and chosen Surrey Hills. Their sheer professionalism at every point was appreciable. The sale of our 6-bedroom house near Guildford required our furniture to be split between two new properties that our family was purchasing. Most of the furniture went into storage for a month. Final delivery of the furniture to our new home in Shropshire went to plan, the team from Surrey Hills being extremely helpful in locating some very large items of furniture into place.

Called Surrey Hills Removals as they had moved me before. Told they were very busy and it would take 2 weeks for survey and quote. I Booked survey for quote regardless as I had used them before. They told me they had penciled in my move date. I had to call to remind them that they were due to survey my move as they were late to arrive and had basically forgot. I was then told that even if they came to survey they couldn’t move me on the day required. All this after waiting 2 weeks. Moronic approach to business and customer relations.

Can’t fault the service we received from Surrey Hills. The initial quote done by Mark was professionally handled and while not the cheapest they appeared to be the best value. Mark had clearly thought through all the options and never seemed to be selling services we didn’t need. After we accepted their offer, the website was relatively easy to use and Bekki was a great help. The move itself couldn’t have been smoother. The team, led by Miles, arrived on time, packed efficiently and neatly with great care. Unpacking was as pleasant as it can be to the point that we actually ended earlier than anticipated. They were one of the 3 companies we had considered for a move that never happened so we asked on this occasion. They were not the cheapest or most expensive but definitely the most convincing so we ordered. They arrived right on time and were well organised, efficient, polite and friendly on the first day. On move day they were quick to clear up and get on the road. We arrived at the new house in good time to find them waiting and then very patient when the keys were delayed. When the keys finally arrived they were quick and efficient getting stuff in generally the right place and tried very hard to work it out when the house conspired against us. Altogether a top job and no complaints at all.

We decide to use Surrey Hills Removals for our move because they were listed as a Which trusted trader, and we were not disappointed. We were provided with boxes to pack ourselves, as we requested, and these arrived leaving us plenty of time to avoid any panic. Gave contract to Surrey Hills (although most expensive quote) on the promise of the same team for a move from England to Ireland. They did not deliver on that promise. Instead, they arranged for local support who, ironically, proved the best of the bunch. We also, for the first time in many moves, suffered breakages. Would not use Surrey Hills again.

Surrey Hills Removals recently carried out our house move over 5 days and I was very impressed with them from start to end. When Nick (the MD) first came to give me a quote, he reassured me that SHR do everything to make the house move go smoothly. I fully trusted Nick, he seemed very relaxed and yet professional. I must say, I was given the same reassurance about the move going smoothly from other removal companies at the quote stage, however it was only when I started looking at the details that I realised that actually these companies operate complex and not very user-friendly processes. They also had many more restrictions and disclaimers whereas Nick was very accommodating and reassuring. I really enjoyed dealing with SHR, they were all extremely helpful, from people in the office (Richard, Lesley, Mark) to the guys delivering boxes to me and then doing the move. The removal team were very friendly and thoughtful and took great care when moving things - it literally was a pleasure to move with them! Danny, who led the whole move, had a great way of working with his team and was very thoughtful and proactive, for instance, he would check that we were happy with the position of furniture in the new house, access to plugs etc. and offered to relocate any items in the event their original location wasn’t suitable and/or we changed our mind. The whole moving process was first class from start to finish. We hadn’t moved for 17 years and accumulated a lot of ‘stuff’ over the years. Our move involved leaving a house opposite a school and moving to a house in a narrow country lane, so a logistical problem. The Surrey Hills team turned up on the Thursday, filled two small cans with ‘non essentials’ and packed everything Friday they took everything else and delivered the essentials that afternoon everything, else, as agreed, was delivered on Monday. The team were friendly, efficient, and did a fantastic job: we are still unpacking but nothing has been damaged and all that stuff is done I hope I don’t need them again and I get carried out in a box, next time, but I’d definitely use them again if needed.

Moving house is always incredibly stressful. There are numerous things to think about and the removal service is one of the most important bits, but always seems to be left to the last minute. My moving dates kept jumping all over the place, which meant that I eventually had to find a company to move me out within a week. I called Surrey Hills - no problem. To be fair that was mainly luck, but the service that I received from them was second to none. Nothing was too difficult. Everyone I spoke to on the phone was incredibly polite. I required 6 weeks storage of my household goods before I moved into my new house. It wasn't a problem. The team that moved me out and back in was extremely efficient, clean and polite. I was well-informed on the service and price from the start through to the last box being delivered. I cannot recommend Surrey Hills enough - thank you for making that bit of my move the easiest.

It took 3 full days to move us into our new home and the team were brilliant. They were friendly and so very respectful of both our old home and our new one. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone.

When we asked for a quote it was to move us only. However, the man who named to see us also quoted for his team to pack for us (which I thought I could handle). However, after spending £90 on boxes and bubble wrap I was nowhere near being ready and their quote for packing was so reasonable it was a no brainer to ask them to do this. Everything was superbly packed and there was no damage to anything. The members of staff all had uniforms on, where extremely polite and considerate and I would not hesitate to recommend them. I don't want to move again - but if we did, I would definitely use this company.

Moving is very daunting but Surrey Hills Movers made it so much less so! They were very helpful, packed everything extremely carefully and were excellent on communication so I knew exactly when they would be at my house, how much information they needed and what furniture they could leave me with (we moved on a Monday so had a virtually empty house over the weekend). The moving day went very smoothly, they had 2 days to unpack the lorries and pallets, they were as quick as we could have hoped and very generous with their time. They had no problem moving any furniture we had decided was in the wrong place and they certainly did a better job of putting all the furniture back together than we would have done. I'd definitely recommend them, fantastic experience.

Mann's removal company were extremely accommodating to our move dates. The guys arrived promptly and liaised well with me as where to start. They packed up the house efficiently. On arrival at the new property the team unloaded into the rooms we asked them to. Beds were put back together promptly. We would highly recommend Mann's removal company.

From the initial survey to getting the moving date we wanted, the whole experience was positive. The movers, Daniel, James and Jonathon arrived on time and soon had most of our possessions carefully packed. Everything arrived undamaged and in no time all was arranged as we wanted. Everyone we dealt with at Manns was friendly, helpful and courteous.

We had a staggered two-day move, with most of our belongings needing to be stored over a weekend. Surrey Hills removals were able to accommodate this and made the move as seamless as possible, with the removal team planning and managing every stage brilliantly. The removal men were very quick, careful, helpful and cheerful - we would definitely choose Surrey Hills again if we ever moved - which we hope won’t be for a very long time, however!

The team were extremely polite and professional as well as being considerate as to what items to pack and leave. They were finished packing and loading in time for us to have a pub lunch on moving day and made the whole process very relaxing! And once at our new house, more staff came to help and they moved us in efficiently, cleanly and worked around us with no bother as we explored the house.

A 2 day rolling removal with small van and two staff. Subject to what is said below, I would consider the service to be excellent with everything going to plan. The staff were polite and considerate. The only limitation on what is said above is the fact that the staff were a little pushed to complete the job in the time allowed which could lead to problems with packing and, hence, relocation of possessions after the move.

During a very stressful house move Manns/Surrey Hills were the stand-out part of it. We had to postpone the date twice, and on the day still didn't know if we would be moving in or needing to store our furniture. They were unfailingly pleasant on the phone, clear about what they could or might not be able to manage, and on the day were very responsive, looking for any possible spaces to slot in redelivery at short notice if needed. In the event they were able to take our stuff overnight and redeliver the next day. Their response to our uncertainty, their flexibility and helpful attitude were greatly appreciated. The guys who did the moving, led by Andy, were polite, punctual and efficient. All-in-all an excellent service and highly recommended.

Manns both moved me out of my old house and into my new one and the team that arrived everyday were fantastic especially Dave. It was a very tight schedule as my buyer was pushing me to move fast but the team remained friendly, cheerful and helpful throughout. Some of my things have had to remain in storage as I have considerably downsized but what is great is that Manns have storage facilities and can store everything until I am ready to take delivery. I would have no hesitation in recommending Manns to anyone thinking of moving - a traditional, professional company.

Every team member was competent, completely professional, efficient, helpful and pleasant from start to finish. A home visit was performed first, and an accurate assessment of the size of job and cost was made, within less than 24hrs. There was no hidden extra fee at the end. Job was performed and completed exactly as planned at the outset. Moving house can be very stressful - The movers were not only very helpful with some tips and advice to make things easier, they were also very patient and considerate. Could not recommend the team and service more highly.

Kind, considerate and professional from the first point of contact to post-removal. Not only was communication consistent, reassuring and professional, removals team on the ground on the day were punctual, a pleasure to meet, as well as hard working. Handling family heirlooms and sentimental items was a sensitive task, successfully completed.

We didn’t have an easy job - a move over 3 days and although only down the road, the house we moved out of had about 25 steps from the road down to the house and was spread over 3 storeys. The men walked up and down the stairs hundreds of times over the 3 days and although we joked about their fitness levels improving, it was very hard work and they didn’t complain once. On top of that, they were friendly, professional, packed everything well and I have unpacked 85% and nothing has been damaged or broken. Thank you and I would certainly recommend them.

I have recently moved home, with Manns Removals and would highly recommend them. From the initial consultation in my home to the final box being brought in from the van, everyone I dealt with was professional, courteous and efficient. Our move was slightly complicated in that we were moving from one house into two, they had a clear plan for how they were going to manage this and all went smoothly on the day. We had two teams looking after us and they were all extremely helpful and worked well together to get the job done. I used the full packing service and everything ended up in the right place and in one piece.

Excellent. We moved from Surrey to Suffolk putting most things into store in Ipswich. Paul and the team did a great job and were very helpful and professional. From the original visit from Mark to closing the store door everything went like clockwork.

Over two days a team of 2 and 3 movers helped pack and move our family home in Guildford. They were very fast and the move went extremely smoothly. I have moved many times and I can honestly say this was the easiest move so far, thanks to the moving team who put a lot of care and thought into their packing and placement of our belongings. Couldn’t praise the whole team highly enough. From my initial enquiry to after service, I dealt with friendly professional people. I have used lots of removal firms in the past and whilst the basic service is often the same, subtle difference make a huge impact on the day. The thing that marks Surrey Hills Removals from the rest is their truly personal service. Prior to the move I dealt with friendly people who seemed to know me and the job and not just admin staff. The quote was competitive and after an email and extensive photos, I was given on the quote same day. This was the second time I had employed a removal team in three months and I was very keen that this job would only take one day. The team were quick, quiet and courteous and worked into the early evening to make sure the job didn’t run over into two days. The job was a little complicated in that I was moving some items to other parts of house myself. If one of the team saw me struggling they were quick to help. Given that my furniture is in storage and I am dependent on Surrey Hills Removals to reinstate the items, I have no worries about yet another visit from the removal team. I would certainly recommend them.

Surrey Hills Removals (Manns) are a premier service removal company with outstanding removal planning, service and staff. Everything they said they would do, they did, no question. They bent over backwards to accommodate our needs, they did everything on schedule, on quote and more. All their staff both on site and in the office where totally customer centric and professional. The end to end service was brilliant. My advice to people looking for a similar removal service, is many removal companies over promise and under deliver; Surrey Hills Removals under promise and over deliver. Always use their service.

The removal team were excellent. Everything was done as quoted. Managed to remove upstairs furniture through the doors and balcony. All items well packed and no damage. Very helpful and friendly staff. Would recommend them.

I wanted to write to say thank you for the Surrey Hill's Removals team incredible hard work over the course of our move. Andrew, Kane and Dan were fantastic as was Bob the kitchen packing guru. I now have a greater appreciation of the scale of the effort and time required and was so impressed by the care and attention paid by the team to all our belongings. We felt most reassured by their professionalism and they were a pleasure to work with.

Removers arrived on time and worked hard. They moved our items the day before we were able to move ourselves and we were very pleased and grateful they went the extra mile to collect the key and move our possessions in first. Unfortunately we discovered a number of items had been broken (bed assembled incorrectly, stereo packed on top of CDs, potted rose snapped etc). Upon an email requesting compensation, we received two bizarre, abusive emails full of odd lies from the owner - insulting our character and home and insinuating that we were only in it for the compensation. Given that their compensation scheme is £40 a box and the items they broke were worth well in excess of that, I imagine I have better things to do with my time! Could not recommend.

We have used Surrey Hills for both domestic and office moves with different teams and they have always been friendly and professional - and quick! They know what they are doing and can be relied upon to be polite and get the job done. Moving house can be very stressful but these guys give you one less thing to worry about! I have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Competitively priced but that's about the only good thing I can say. Moving teams were unhelpful and frankly disinterested. Even when we asked for help it was declined on the basis of needing to get back to the depot, at 1:30pm in the afternoon! Some of the moving team grumbled continuously about needing to take furniture up stairs, which I thought was what we were paying them for. And then for a large item which needed to go upstairs they said they would come back tomorrow, and surprise surprise, they never did. Don't be lured in by their competitive quote, in my opinion you will be disappointed.
