This year I decided to replace an undersized window in a big downstairs room with bifold doors. I looked online for recommendations and found Swain Bros. I put in a call and Tim arranged to come round for a look. My immediate impressions were how friendly and professional he was. He listened carefully, took measurements and came back quickly with a quote which was right on the figure I'd had in mind. I didn’t bother to get a comparative quote - there was something about the Swains that made me feel comfortable. It's very important to trust people when they're knocking a great big hole in your house! I liked the fact that they were local, independent and built the unit to my exact specification, using other local craftspeople in the manufacturing process. I was also reassured by their credentials, their level of insurance and the fact that they are registered with building regs and can issue official certification and guarantees for the work. We agreed a schedule which they absolutely delivered on. This was important as there were other trades on site doing plumbing, decoration etc. The Swain team worked efficiently and delivered outstanding work. I'm thrilled with the results. The doors look even better than I had imagined, and I can't recommend the Swains highly enough. Excellent value for money and a real pleasure to deal with.

We are very happy with the work the team provided some great options and then on installing they were very polite and tidy. All work looks to have been done to a high standard and made a huge difference. We have had the same team doing a front door and side window in the past and would recommend them.

For us this was a major project - 9 windows and two French doors being replaced with good quality Rehau double glazing. We had quotes from five companies and although the Swain Brothers were not the cheapest or most expensive we felt that we were in safe hands. We visited the factory in Pevensey where the windows would be constructed and were able to look through the range of finishes and other options which are available. As predicted, the work was completed in four days by a team of three friendly and knowledgeable staff/family members and the quality of the workmanship and detailed finishing with mastic was excellent. We are really happy with the final look and wouldn't hesitate to use the Swain Brothers for future projects.

I'm so impressed with Swain Brothers Ltd. From start to finish, Tim and the entire team were fantastic. They were incredibly helpful and the communication throughout the project was excellent. What's more, their pricing for this enquiry was very competitive, having compared to two other local supplier. The work involved an unusual request: an entrance door for a block of flats that needed eight letterboxes installed into one of the panels. Despite this being a bit out of the ordinary for them, they handled it brilliantly. They sourced the letterboxes, incorporated them seamlessly into the panel, and the final result was fantastic. The residents were very impressed with the high quality of the door, side panels, and mailboxes. The installation was done with minimal fuss, and the overall outcome exceeded expectations. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Swain Brothers Ltd. for any double-glazing needs.

A tricky double-glazed replacement of wooden double doors in an arched porch, coupled with replacement leaded light windows and blown units, plus a new back door. All in one day. Very competent workers, arrived on time, friendly, polite and considerate, protected furnishings, cleaned up afterwards and disposed of removed items. Will not hesitate to recommend to friends.

Tim visited to give me a quote on replacing my tired old sliding patio doors with new French doors. He kindly also helped free up my bathroom fanlight window, which over the winter months had become hard to open. The guys from Swain Bros did an excellent job installing my French doors, removed all the debris, and left my living room and garden clean and tidy. They also replaced four windows that had condensation inside them in the bedroom. Again, a perfect job was done on these. I also had a window in my living room that needed some adjustment, which Zak kindly also did. Kaiya was very helpful in doing all the admin side of things. I can't recommend them enough and would certainly use them again

Swain Bros installed uPVC double glazed bay windows in the lounge and first front bedroom, and four double glazed windows to the second front bedroom, rear bedroom, landing and utility room. They also installed double-glazed French doors with two sidelights and top lights in the dining room at the back. This involved removing brickwork under the existing windows and plastering after the doors were fitted. We are very pleased with the result - the windows look very sturdy and bring lots of light into the rooms. The new French doors in the dining room are a great improvement on the single door and two small windows that were there before, and the finishing around the doors is excellent. The team was punctual, professional, polite, and considerate.

Always arrive on time, prices are good. Clean up well. They do a really nice job. Would highly recommend.
