The chimney sweep was on time, communication from the company about arrival time was much appreciated. The sweep was very polite and efficient, no mess and the living room was left as he found it. Will be using them again and would highly recommend them.

One chimney needed to be cleaned, which Mason did very professionally. Unprompted he removed his shoes on arrival, set up quickly, making sure to prevent any soot escaped during the cleaning process. He was thorough, not only completing the stove and chimney, but also cleaning around the stove, leaving the area looking great. Communication prior to the appointment was helpful, arriving within the agreed time slot, and providing an update when Mason was expecting to arrive. The work was completed for the cost agreed in advance, paid for via tap. Overall I was pleased with the helpfulness of the service Mason provided and will make sure to use SweepSmart in the future. Excellent service all round from Sweepsmart. I needed to move my appointment from the AM to PM, and after speaking with a lady at the Herts office, it was accommodated without any fuss. The chimney sweep, Mason, arrived at the stated time and was very polite, courteous and respectful of the house i.e. shoes off at the door - a minor thing for me but can instantly distinguish a great tradesperson. He set up and got to work straight away after laying the dust sheets down. After the flue of our log burner was swept, he then cleaned the glass, emptied the ash pan and cleaned out the grate which really showed how he went that little bit further to provide a good service. There was barely a spec of dust anywhere near the hearth after he finished. He had excellent knowledge of his trade and a great skill set to get the job done so efficiently (all completed within 30 mins) and it was obvious to see how he took pride in his work and had passion for his profession. The total cost was £75 + VAT, which is excellent value for money in my opinion. The invoice and inspection report (with photos) was sent before he left the drive. I have no hesitation in recommending Sweepsmart (or Mason!) for Chimney sweeping.

Always a pleasure to see a professional at work, Paul and his team are the best there is , from installs, maintenance or repairs. Having used Sweep Smart for over a decade there just isn't anything to fault , just praise from a simple whatsapp booking or phone call all communications are concise and factual , a text to advise your technician will arrive in 20 minutes and they always do. To carrying out a potential messy job efficiently, effectively and without fuss or a gram of mess. We have no issue recommending Paul and the team to anyone with a functional chimney , a qualified and certified installer or sweep is in demand come Autumn so book in during spring or summer to avoid delay.

Paul arrived on time, sorted out a tricky baffle plate that a previous chimney sweep had been unable to move, and swept the chimney with minimum fuss. He provided advice on the location of the Carbon Monoxide monitor, and on the frequency of sweeping the chimney taking into account the amount of use of the wood burning stove. There was no mess or dust. I will definitely use SweepSmart again.

I was more than impressed with the very professional manner in the way I was treated by Sweepsmart, initially by the Office Manager who kept me informed and up to date throughout with texts to my mobile etc while waiting the arrival of the chimney sweep Keil. Rarely have I got such a prompt and efficient service from any other company attending my home as I did from Sweepsmart. I had no idea how to operate my new wood burner but Keil had the patience to go out of his way and explain all what I needed to know to operate the burner. He was so neat and tidy with the work he performed and helped with all aspects in completing his work to a very high standard. I was also happy with the cost I paid for the work. I will certainly be using Sweepsmart for any problems I may face in the future and would like to thank the company for a service better than I could possibly expect from anyone.

Overall, a good job, and I would recommend the service, although there were a couple of issues that caused some frustration. I had specifically requested a 3 pm appointment, so I was disappointed when the gentleman arrived around 30 minutes earlier than agreed. I appreciate that schedules can sometimes change, but arriving early without checking first was inconvenient, particularly as I had made arrangements around the agreed time. Unfortunately, my cat was unwell and on antibiotics, and the vet had advised that he needed to be kept indoors. The door was left open, and luckily I spotted it and found my cat halfway down the road! Thankfully, Dreamies tempted him safely back inside. We are also a shoes-off household, which had been understood beforehand, but he did come inside wearing his shoes. He was very apologetic about these issues, and to be fair, he did a good job and was polite and professional overall. So, despite the few frustrations, I was happy with the work carried out.

I was very pleased with the service I received. It was my first time having a chimney sweep so I didn't know what to expect. The guys were perfectly on time, slightly early. They got cracking straight away, no nonsense whilst I was upstairs working. They noticed a few issues with the previous installation that required fixing and got straight to it. I will 100% be using them again as it was so easy and I have a lot of trust in their abilities after chatting with them around the issues they found and fixed. Great Job

Paul attended today to sweep the flue for my woodburner. The whole process has been very good, from the initial booking to completion. Faith was responsive on emails when booking, and I was sent email/text updates, with a 2 hour slot. I received a final update to say 20 mins eta - which was accurate. My woodburner was left clean, as was my house. Certificate received by email instantly. Very pleased with the service, and I will use again, and also recommend.

Mason and Leo attended our property to put an access plate in the chimney and to sweep it at the same time. We were a little anxious as we'd had a dodgy installation previously. We neednt have worried....they were on time, reasonably priced, friendly, extremely professional and thorough! They explained what they were doing throughout and we couldn't be more pleased with the end result. They even straightened out the log burner as it was wonky when first installed! So nice to look at now. ☺️ We will be using them again and highly recommend to anyone! Thank you so much

James and his colleague arrived on time and after cleaning our chimney, James gave good advice regarding a query we had and reassured us our chimney and log burner are currently safe and we don’t need to replace anything for about a year or two. Polite and left the area spotless - also a shout out to the office staff who are friendly and helpful when you need to change appointments. Highly recommend!

We had a chimney partially blocked and problems with multiple jackdaw nests which were completely blocking the top half of the chimney, with limited access from inside the house. It was quite tricky so we created a wider access for the stack from our bedroom and then Tony and Leo did their thing. Buckets of yukky old jackdaw nests later, plus a visual and camera inspection and all was good. They carefully vacuumed up and left everything really tidy and were really nice to have in the house. They then used their special ladders to re-cap the chimney, allowing air to flow but preventing and more birds coming in and creating nests. A special shout out to Faith, who was a delight to deal with and who patiently answered all my questions with good humour and gave good advice into the bargain. Would absolutely recommend.

We had Mason and his colleague do our annual chimney clean and check for our multifuel burner. We received an email in advance, listing what they would do, and contact on the day with an arrival time. They arrived bang on time, did exactly what we were told they would, and left the place absolutely spotless. Very friendly team too. Will definitely use them next time.

My experience was excellent from start to finish. I rang to make an appointment and the phone was answered promptly. I found I was actually speaking to someone. She was helpful and efficient. The appointment was booked, there and then. No fuss, no compications. On the day I was updated regularily as to when the chiney sweep would arrive. The work was carried out efficiently. The man was friendly and helpful. He was able to give advice when asked.

I had my chimney swept by Sweepsmart and I was very happy with the work carried out. The chimney sweep was very polite and helpful in advice about the wood burner and did the work that needed doing. I thought that maybe the rope around the doors needed replacing but was assured by Sweepsmart that at this point it didn’t need doing but they would keep it on record to check next time. The chimney was swept quickly and no mess was made. The report and certificate and invoice was emailed before he left. I was very pleased with this company.
