The reason we chose T Nutt @Sons for our flooring job was quite simply, their reputation. We went to view Karndean samples in Clay Cross and Keven was very helpful in assisting us in choosing the correct product. The brief was to floor our two top attic rooms and Richard came out to survey the job giving us great solutions and confidence. His priority seemed to be in doing the best job possible and nothing seemed too much trouble. This wasn't our cheapest quote but we believed we would get the best job so it was a no brainer. When the time came for installation, they arrived on time, kept to schedule and involved us whenever a choice or decision had to be made. Richard and his assistant were polite, friendly and professional and I would have no hesitation in using this company again or in recommending them to others. They are proud of their customer commitment as a family firm but my only suggestion might be that they communicate in a little more detail or more regularly through email. Brilliant job nonetheless!!

After looking around for a floor fitter for the kitchen and utility area in our old house we came across this company. While others were all about the problems, T.Nutt were really positive and professional. Great range of products across the whole design and price range. We got great advice on suitability, preparation and fitting. Nothing was too much trouble. The fitting service was excellent, from the laying of the screed to level the old floor to the tidying after. The fitters were prompt, professional and really considerate. The finished room is superb. Highly recommend this company.

I’ve used T. Nutt & Sons for previous work and been highly satisfied. I looked at several Companies for this flooring, on recommendations, having never had Kardean fitted before. I’m highly delighted with the fitting, different levels and types of floors were corrected, the walls are by no means square, but looks perfect. It runs diagonally into the utility flawlessly. Due to medical issues, we had a home visit to discuss and choose new carpet. This service was exemplary, and made choosing new carpet so easy and stress free. We picked a carpet that was exactly what we were looking for, and a couple of weeks later, was fitted to three bedrooms, landing, stairs and hall way. The fitting was first class, those carpet fitters certainly know their craft. The fitting in all the corners is 100% perfect, it is incredibly neat and looks amazing. We found T.Nutt and Son Ltd after a very disappointing time with another dealer. Walking in to the shop we were shown exactly the sort of carpets samples we needed - and their pricing was brilliantly simple. Ordering and measuring went through without any problems, and the fitting date was arranged. When it came to the time, the fitters turned up on time - a great team. They took care to look after the premises, even to moving a heavy piano - fitted expertly with attention to detail and left only after they were convnced that we were happy with their work - WHICH WE WERE! The fitters were prompt, professional and efficient. The two appointments we had were kept (4 carpets to be fitted, including stairs) and on time. They got on with the jobs as expected. They clearly knew exactly what they needed to do. Even the gripper strip was put down neatly! I would definitely only use T Nutt again.

We have used T Nutt previously and had no hesitation in using them again to fit a new carpet in our lounge and to fit Karndean flooring in the hall. From initially entering the shop to view samples, to the job being complete, the service has been exemplary. We weren't asked for any money up front, which is very rare and refreshing in today's world. We are extremely pleased with the carpet. But we are overjoyed with the Karndean! We had an abstract pattern which took three and a half days in total to complete, including laying an initial screed. A massive shout out to Richard and Harry for a superb job. I can't stop looking at it!

Visited T Nutt and Sons showroom to look for new carpet for our lounge/dining room. We were met with a warm welcome and invited to browse the extensive collection on display. The staff were very attentive and invited us to take samples home if required. We duly made an appointment for a measure up and quote and placed our order. At no time were we pressured or asked to pay money up front - which is refreshing in today's market. The fitting team arrived promptly on the agreed date and were polite and professional throughout. They made a terrific job and we were highly satisfied with the work. It makes a change to deal with a such a friendly efficient company who are happy to deal with you. We would certainly go back for more.

After my house was flooded last year, has been a long road to get back to normal. I chose T Nutt as recommended by friends and neighbours. I contacted them in January this year and they came out to give me a quote, which was eventually agreed with Insurance Company. When I visited the shop, Kevin was very helpful with advice about differrent carpets and vinyl. I was able to take a few books home to look at in situ. They came to house again with a larger sample and I found Steve to be very professional, courteous and again gave me advice. The carpets and kitchen flooring all done over two days in May. So company have been very patient whilst getting house dry and decorated. The fitting guys were again really helpful, took doors off so that a perfect finish could be done. They cleared everything up when leaving, ( maybe because I left them chocolate biscuits when they had a cuppa) . Again everyone I dealt with at company have been really professional and were always able to answer any questions and contact was easy either by phone or email. Will certainly be using them again as bedrooms need to be done. Am delighted with my rooms and all looking fabulous and very posh. Love them.

From the start to finish, T.Nutt and sons Ltd delivered a flawless high quality job. I wanted to replace my downstairs carpets with a cost effective long term solution to withstand busy family life, including a large hairy mutt and 2 teenagers. I visited the shop in Clay Cross and Trevor patiently listened to these requirements. He understood I didn't have an unlimited budget but also that I didn't want to compromise on quality either! The end result I chose was a beautiful oak effect click laminate which has a lifetime guarantee. Richard, on behalf of the company, worked solidly all day everyday for a week to install. The quality of his craftsmanship is outstanding. I was so impressed. I had to force him to have complimentary cups of tea otherwise he worked throughout. Trevor also helped me with using offcuts of lino to replace my en suite floor. As a solo parent I have to watch my pennies and he was so incredibly supportive. The whole experience was enjoyable and as a deaf solo woman, I felt safe and in no way surrounded by tradespeople. They were an absolute pleasure to be with and several months on, I still sit and admire my flooring! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely established family firm.

WE are very happy with our new carpet and for the excellent service we received throughout . T Nutt & Sons is a local floring and carpets business in North East Derbyshire and we have used them several times for carpets. The service is always excellent and the satff are welcoming at the shop. They are happy for us to take samples home before ordering, and use their own fitters to ensure the job is done well. Absolutely no negatives.

Over 20 years ago we purchased our first carpets from T. Nutt & Sons who also fitted them. Today ALL the carpets and floor coverings in our four bedroomed house were supplied and fitted by the above company. We have just replaced the hall, stairs and landing carpets plus the lounge carpet but only because I wanted a change of decor!! Second time round for Nutts. The experience of choosing carpets is second to none. No-one could be more helpful with suggestions on style, colour etc. The fitters have been excellent in every way. Replacement carpet fitted after previous one was damaged due to flooding. Nutts were very quick to come out and provide us with a quote. The work was also scheduled and carried out within a fast time frame. They were able to work around our requirements and made the whole process straightforward and easy. The carpets are of a very high quality and the fitting was efficient and carried out to a very high standard. I would highly recommend them.

We were given advice when ordering from their wide choice of quality carpets. Price quoted was satisfactory. Fitters arrived punctually, were very hard working, did a first class job. Left everywhere clean and tidy Can't fault the service we received in any way. Couldn't wish for anything better.

The work carried out is first class, it looks as if Richard has taken the radiator pipes off and drilled through, how he did it I can't imagine and the connection to the skirting boards look as if they have always been there.

First class fitting of Karndean herringbone flooring to hall really impressed with Richard who takes great care and satisfaction in what he does looks lovely. Had carpet fitted on the stairs and landing and got the same service. It is the first time we have used T.Nutt and Sons but will definitely be using them again.

I am so impressed with Kevin and his team. The service they provided throughout was impeccable. It took me many weeks to decide which type of flooring would suit me best. Kevin offered lots of advice and lent me numerous carpet and flooring samples. I returned time and time again as I just couldn't choose and he was so patient with me. On the fitting day, the two fitters removed all of my furniture before laying the new carpet. They then hoovered the area before putting the furniture back in place. They were absolutely fantastic! I have never had service as amazing as this in 55 years of home ownership! I would recommend T Nutt and sons to anybody.

T Nutt & Sons Ltd are an "old school" business the likes of which I sadly hardly see now. They have a traditional store, family work in the business, and they do what they say they will do. Everybody cared about me as a customer. They were so well organised, and their staff hardly stopped in the 2 long days they were on site. Without hesitation, I'd recommend them to anyone. They've done a great job, and our new cafe looks wonderful with the Karndean flooring they fitted.

The showroom is well stocked so there’s plenty of choice. I was able to take quite a few samples home making it easier to make a selection. The estimator was able to give me a quote on the day. My carpet was fitted to landing and stairs and looks fantastic. All the staff are helpful and pleasant. I would highly recommend.

We called at T Nutts without any idea what they were like, but called because they promoted a brand of carpet we were interested in. Having used national brands and other local high profile shops we were a little unsure as to how they would compare. On entering the shop, we were immediately met with the sort of high calibre of service and trade knowledge that we had long since given up expecting. All the staff were helpful, knowledgeable and intent on helping us to choose the right carpets for us rather than the carpet they might have wanted to sell us. We were overwhelmed with their help and obvious desire to let us take as many samples as we needed. When they came to measure up, the service and knowledge were still just as evident as when we were in the shop and then the fitting was exemplary. The fitters were careful not to damage any decoration and to be honest I have never seen a carpet fitted so exactly. They also didn't even take a deposit and said they would only ask for payment when they were sure we were happy with the job. I gave up hoping businesses still existed like T Nutt years ago. Long may they stay that way and long may they stay in business. Just fantastic and FLAWLESS.

T Nutt replaced carpets in four rooms and two hallways for us. We took quite a long time to choose the carpet, and the sales team were supportive and patient, lending us samples on a number of occasions. A team of six fitters came and worked diligently and carefully to remove the old carpet and install the replacements. They made light work of moving furniture around and arranged for adjustments to be made to doors. We are very pleased with the results, and are happy to recommend T Nutt and Sons for any flooring work.

Just had T. Nutt laying carpets in a house we moved to recently. Can't praise them highly enough. Fitters were courteous, helpful and really tried to carry out our wishes. They did an excellent job without fuss and cleared up well afterwards leaving everything tidy. I can't praise them highly enough. How good it was to see young apprentices learning on the job and as well as learning new skills they were picking up the old fashioned virtues of politeness, responsibility and effort. Not attributes you find in every tradesman these days. I would recommend this firm highly.

Excellent advice and help with the design of our hall floor. All old carpet was removed and cleared from the site. A screed was laid to the floor to get a clean level floor. Undercutting the skirting boards to allow karndean flooring to be installed under skirting board, giving a smart no gaps edge. Work area was kept in a clean,tidy state throughout the installation. No damage to existing painted walls. Wonderful herringbone-patterned Karndean floor laid beautifully. It is a delight to see such skill and craftsmanship used to give a perfect wooden floor. From selection of the products, where we were given honest, experienced and knowledgeable assistance, a home visit to ensure accurate measurement, and the fitting - which was done carefully and professionally. The fitters went above and beyond what was expected, including removing, planing and replacing a door to ensure that the carpet was not stretched. They showed great pride in their work and in leaving the place as they found it. A fitter was even willing to move his holiday to ensure that we didn't have to wait too long for our flooring to be fitted. There is no request for any payment until the job is complete and you are pleased with the work carried out. An excellent friendly, family run business.

This is the first time I have used T Nutt and sons. They fitted a carpet on the stairs and landing and Coretec plus flooring in the hall and dining room. Their price was very competitive. This company provides the kind of customer orientated service you used to find years ago. They were very helpful in the shop and during measuring. Even agreed to do a little job on an existing carpet they hadn’t even fitted. The carpet was fitted as per the schedule and the fitters were very efficient and careful in their work. I can’t fault anything from start to finish. In fact we have just ordered another carpet.

T Nutt and Sons have a really good showroom and the staff are very helpful in showing options and most suitable flooring for each room. They agreed a price with us that included everything including removal of the old flooring. They arrived as arranged and replaced the carpet in the Hall and dining room with top quality laminate flooring, the Kitchen and utility room was recovered with industrial grade linoleum (guaranteed at least 10 years) and the best bit was the lounge that has a deep pile carpet. An extra that was undertaken without charge was the fitting of a hearing aid loop system under the carpet so we get fantastic sound without problems. Overall it was the friendly family approach that won us over, they did a wonderful job and I can recommend them to anyone.

We wanted to cover the floors of two rooms with vinyl and our hall with Karndean. They came round twice to advise and take measurements and were very helpful and knowledgeable in helping us to decide what we wanted. The men who came to fit the flooring were excellent, moving heavy appliances or working round them; they were punctual and were at pains to minimise the inconvenience to us during the work. Throughout the work they were at pains both to explain what they were doing and to ensure we agreed with what they were doing. The resulting floors are very good, finished to a very high standard, and we are very happy with them.

Nutts fitted stair runner with stair rods and custom made two made to measure rugs for large landing. Excellent service at every step of the way, from initial visit to shop to completed work. Patrick came out to the property to measure up, to ensure the work would be completed to perfection on our split landing staircase & room at top of stairs. Costs were accurately quoted with no surprise extras. Communication was clear and helpful, including advice given on suitability of carpet during selection. The quality of the carpets is excellent. The fitters were punctual, conscientious and polite. I was consulted on the fitting process at regular intervals to ensure everything was exactly as we wanted.
