Glen was super helpful. He talked me through the process of resetting my RCD switch on the fuse box to restore lighting on the first floor of my mother’s house. He was clear, patient, and extremely helpful. I would recommend this company for any of the services they provide since the customer service was excellent.

Glenn and his team installed and upgraded a full, bespoke solar panel power system for us and we are delighted with the results. Of the four companies only Techfor carried out a full survey and discussed a bespoke installation for us. This was carried out in three stages: solar panel installation; a Tesla storage battery; and, most recently, an upgrade to the Tesla battery system that allows us to operate as an "island" in the event of a power cut. The work was carried out expertly by the polite and thoughtful Techfor team and annually provides two-thirds of all our electricity needs.

Glenn was extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process, from the design of the system all the way to installation. He was always contactable and sorted out any issues or questions promptly and professionally. His team listened to all our requests and installed the system exactly as we wanted, even when we asked for alterations to the cable routes, kit positions, etc. This resulted in a system which has given us true energy independence, protection against blackouts and rising energy prices, and saved us around £200pm. Not to mention not having to thread an extension cable out of the letterbox!

I recommend Techfor Energy: 1 . They gave a professional survey before you commit to anything. 2. Very skilled tradesmen – roofers, electricians, technical sales, all of which are difficult to beat. Techfor Energy had already installed solar panels for me in 2018, which I was very happy with, and this year I asked Glenn to return in order to install batteries and an EV charger. I am now off-grid until the end of the summer. Thanks to Glenn for recommending Utilities Warehouse, my off-peak electricity over the winter will be under 6p per kWh. Next, an EV purchase to help repay my outlay. I expect it to take 7 - 8 years to achieve this on the assumption that most of my miles will be derived from energy from my home charger and the reduced electricity tariff. I now have solar panels, solar water heating, two Tesla batteries, Tesla Gateway, and a Zappi EV charger. However, a big plus is the software that runs the system to help you save money - believe it or not, the system uses tomorrow's weather forecast to make decisions for you!

Overall Techfor Energy managed the design and installation of our 8Kw solar + battery system very professionally and the installation team were very pleasant, quick, helpful and extremely tidy. The system has been running smoothly for several months with no issues and the expected performance. Highly recommended.

We selected Techfor Energy having looked at a few suppliers as it was clear they knew exactly what they were talking about. The pre-contract survey was incredibly detailed and resulted in the design of the perfect system for what we wanted. They are absolutely not the cheapest solution but we have total confidence the extra cost was a worthwhile investment in system quality, the quality of the installation work and the after-sales support. The selection of Tesla for the battery storage caused us some unexpected delays in delivery but the solar panel installation was very efficient and everything has worked perfectly since day one. Would totally recommend Techfor Energy.

We had a roof array installed as well as a car charger and Tesla battery+dc expansion fitted. The team that came was really friendly and easy to have around. The team at our house and those we communicated with by email ensured regular communication, which was really helpful. We had an issue setting up our export tariff with our energy provider, and Oscar was especially helpful, ensuring we had all we needed to get our tariff set up. The product/apps are great, my techy husband is especially pleased with the end result. 10/10 would recommend.

We are very happy with Techfor Energy and their installation of our solar panels, battery, and EV charger. Glenn is evidently very knowledgeable, and during pre-sales calls, he took the time to carefully explain the technical details of the proposed solution, and I really appreciated their scientific approach to picking the panels they supply as a company. The scaffolding was put up/taken down when it was meant to be, and the roofers and electrician were all tidy and polite. Minor issues that arose were handled without fuss. Overall, we are very happy with our system and will gladly recommend Techfor.

It was immediately evident from my first conversation with Glenn that he had vast knowledge in the Green Energy field, unlike some other companies I spoke to. From the first interaction to the final installation and subsequent ongoing support, he was by far the most helpful of all the solar companies I contacted. I had 13 panels & Tesla Powerwall II installed, and I was slightly sceptical as to the savings promised, but I must say it's definitely lived up to what I was told to expect. Currently, I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Glenn & his company.

We had Techfor replace our current solar array with a bigger one, and fit a Tesla Powerwall battery. Great comms throughout the process, from initial discussion and survey to advice and help on how to switch our FiT deemed export over to a SEG Export tariff - they fully understood all of the complications of having an existing FiT array and could answer any and all questions I threw at them. Install was completed on time by a great friendly crew who did a very neat job. We're really happy with the result - been completely off-grid since the install was completed earlier in the week, and that includes charging our MG4. The quote and cost may have been a little higher than others we had received, but well worth it for the obvious knowledge and experience. For example suggesting we'd be better off replacing our existing garage roof kit with new panels, rather than just adding on a completely new array on top of the house - therefore removing the need for any complicated scaffolding.

We have been very impressed by the service and workmanship provided by Glenn Ashby and his team at Techfor Energy. Glenn is clearly very knowledgeable and experienced in this area. He carried out a thorough survey and explained his suggestions and our options very clearly. The quote was comprehensive and competitive (something to be aware of when comparing with other people for example, one of the competitor’s quotes did not include the cost of scaffolding whereas Glenn’s did). The fitting team were totally professional and unfailingly polite and respectful of us and our property. At the peak of the work they were on the roof and in the loft, kitchen and garage but were still considerate. Since having the system fitted and switching to a suitable tariff, we have used hardly any full-price electricity. In winter, the house battery and car (plug-in hybrid) charged overnight on cheap power; with sunnier days now, the charging mainly happens with solar power. In 2023 & ’24 our electricity cost £168 per month on average for January and February; this year we paid £42 per month for those months. No doubt this will be even better as we move into summer.

We wanted to install solar panels on our tennis court which we no longer used rather than on our roof. I spent several months researching a subject I knew little about and spoke to a large number of companies. Techfor Energy stood out as one of the most knowledgeable. We were impressed with their survey and detailed quote which seemed extremely thorough. Now that the work has been completed we are extremely happy with the end result and believe we made the right choice. We are self producing a good percentage of the electricity we consume and with the Tesla batteries are able to store it at off peak rates. There have been one or two teething problems but these have all been resolved so far, and the support has been first class. All the tradespeople involved in the installation were polite, very competent and reliable. The workmanship was excellent and the project was completed on time, on budget and without fuss. The technical director was very closely involved throughout and was very impressive with his depth of knowledge and professionalism. All my questions were answered promptly and fully. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

We had solar panels, a new car charger, water heater and batteries installed. Everything was great from the initial scoping of the project and planning all the way through to having scaffolding up and panels installed and subsequent battery installation. The whole team are great, and were a pleasure to have on site. I have recommended now several times and would continue to do so.

This is my second system from Tech for Energy. I had a 4KW system for 10 years in my previous home which never had a problem and gave me payback in 6-7 years (FIT Scheme) So I went to Glen again when I moved and now have a 5.6KW System using newer high efficiency panels and a Tesla Battery. The system is working great and on a sunny day I am getting enough Solar to charge the battery and run the house (nothing from the grid). This is at the end of November! Our house has a challenging aspect & roof design for effective solar PV installation. A number of local solar companies had declined the ability to install PV solar panels. Glenn from Techfor Energy saw this as a surmountable challenge & came up with a viable solution which made economic sense. We chose a Tesla wall battery to maximise storage of off peak electricity to add to solar generation. The installation team were excellent, courteous, tidy & did a neat job whilst respecting our property. The system has been up and running for over 3 months now and we are absolutely delighted with its performance which has exceeded our expectations.

Excellent job! Of three firms approached Techfor Energy were able to provide the most detailed advice, comprehensive survey and quote, for a fully bespoke 5.95kW solution. This was based on a range of options with realistic energy projections. Glenn was patient in explaining all the pros and cons around creating the optimum system and his team was efficient and responsive throughout the installation. The system effectively runs itself, with only minor tweaking by app (which gives some great insights into power generation, battery flows, and usage). Glenn has further advised on the best settings to benefit from Octopus’s ‘Flux’ time-based tariff. One month in, results are better than expected despite the winter gloom. Highly recommend.

When the inverter failed on our solar system, Glenn came to discuss micro-inverters. He was very knowledgeable and encouraged us to consider a battery which we agreed to. Techfor Energy installed the micro-inverters, additional panels and a Powerwall battery and subsequently have also installed out Zappi EV charger. We are delighted with our Solar package and do not hesitate to recommend Techfor Energy.

Glenn and the team were really informative, helpful and completed the 5kw battery addition to our solar system really efficiently and with little fuss (this was an addition to a solar system they also put in a few years ago and has been running perfectly ever since). At the end of 2023 Techfor Energy installed 8 additional solar panels, a Tesla battery and a car charger at our property. Initially, I was mostly interested in a battery, but Glenn pointed out that I had space on a SE facing roof which could take additional solar panels to make us even more grid independent. I was very reluctant to let anyone onto our new roof, having had a bad experience with the company which installed the first solar array. However, Genn told me how meticulously he trains his roofers and how he ensures that nothing is damaged in the process. His team o scaffolders, roofers and electricians were very competent, polite and left the sites (roof, garage, driveway) spotless. Almost a year later, I am happy to report that we have been 100% self-powered (Tesla speak for not using any electricity from the grid, etc.) between the 17th of March and the 7th of September this year. Even in gloomy January we were 45% self-powered. Besides feeling smug about saving the planet and being grid independent, I am sure that electricity prices will inevitably go up even more to pay for the energy transition (increasing capacity of the grid) and that blackouts might become more common once net-zero forces everyone onto the grid. I highly recommend Techfor Energy and appreciate Glenn’s continued advice regarding most cost-efficient tariffs.

Techfor Energy installed my solar in late Jan this year, and shortly afterwards my Tesla battery & I've never looked back. Best decision of my life in regards to my energy usage. Since April I've mostly been off grid, both for electricity & gas (as I also had a EDDI installed which heats the water). In 6 months my setup has produced some 2700 kwh from 13 panels (& we haven't had a great spring/summer yet!) From beginning to end, through the initial conversations with owner Glenn, then through his very comprehensive roof survey, installations & subsequent aftercare (with the inevitable questions with regards to app customisations), the whole process has been efficient & stress free. MY JOURNEY INTO SOLAR POWER! Best thing I ever did was phoning Tech4energy and speaking with the owner, Glenn. I made an initial appointment and Glenn visited promptly and carried out a full survey of my home’s potential for Solar Panels. The survey was extremely comprehensive and the following week I received a very detailed report with options and the relevant costings. At no time did I feel pressured to adhere to Glenn’s advice but I am happy I took it. Day of installation arrived and everything went extremely smoothly and to plan. The guys installing were extremely neat and tidy and everything was completely cleared up at the end of each day. On the 3rd day in the afternoon the Solar Panels went Live I had a battery installed and Electric Vehicle charger. These were suggested by Glenn and have proved to be invaluable. The battery stores up power during the day and I am running my home on Solar power. I have purchased an electric vehicle and a full charge costs approximately £7.50. I’m also now using my Tumble Dryer regularly - previously a once in a blue moon luxury. I cannot thank Glenn and his Company enough for the quality of my installation. My electric bill is now minimal and I am no longer afraid to use my electric appliances. My quality of life is so much improved and I just wish I’d switched to Solar Power sooner.
