Comprehensive timber and damp surveys for homebuyers, banks and lenders are carried out by a certificated surveyor in remedial treatments (C.S.R.T).
Having your initial survey carried out by a qualified remedial works surveyor (C.S.R.T) will provide you with an accurate assessment of any remedial works required and associated breakdown of cost.
We undertake all remedial and building rectification works from woodworm treatment to structural repairs/alterations.
All damp proofing and timber treatments are fully guaranteed, insured and carried out by our qualified technicians.

I used Thanet Timber and Damp Ltd for a not insubstantial list of work on my newly purchased Victorian house (damp proofing, internal and external timber work). They were extremely helpful, prompt, conscientious and always available for updates. I was rather nervous as this was the first time that I had commissioned this type of work and they explained everything clearly and kept me in the picture which was very reassuring. I have used Thanet Timber & Damp to resolve damp problem in two different houses now, and each time they have done an excellent job. They are also very easy to deal with, right down from my initial conversation with Irene to the final completion of the works. Andrew really took his time to examine what the problem was in his initial survey, then explained clearly in laymen’s terms how he would rectify it. The work was then completed to a high standard in the time stated and the premises were kept very clean and tidy throughout the job. I would have no hesitation in recommending Irene, Andrew and Simon to anyone needing damp or timber work done.

Andy and Simon completed extensive work in our property. This included installation of a new damp proof course, damp proof treatment of the internal walls and repairing/replastering. Really pleased with the service I received. Andy and Iréne went out of their way to help me meet a very tight timeline to get estimates on the work. The quote was very clear, broken down by individual tasks and price. When the work started Andy and Simon explained the timelines and what will be happening, were happy to discuss any questions I had. They tidied up after themselves each day and tried to reduce their impact on us as much a possible, which was really appreciated. They also helped me with another issue I had before wrapping up the main job which was great. Overall super impressed, would recommend fully and without hesitation.

We moved into a big old house and discovered a wealth of work that needed doing urgently. Andrew and Simon had a giant list of external and internal work to get through including wood repairs, damp, guttering, insulation, woodworm repairs. They did it all efficiently and with great care and workmanship. They are highly professional, skilled at what they do and super friendly. They went above and beyond both in the work they carried out but also the advice and clarity of the schedule along the way. Lounge ceiling replaced after plaster from old lath & plaster ceiling collapsed. The friendly, punctual team from Thanet Timber and Damp removed the old plaster, fitted plasterboard, re-plastered and decorated. They were spot on in their diganosis and what to do. Fair quote gicen in advance. Everything done in a timely manner, would definitely use again.

After a prompt and professional assessment a discussion of the issues, details of work involved, timescale & costs were given both verbally and in writing. Some joists and plates were replaced, new flooring laid & spraying for woodworm carried out. Work started & finished on time and to budget. Friendly & helpful throughout.
