We had some damp problems in the concrete floor of our bungalow and contacted Thanet Timber and Damp. Within a short space of time a survey was carried out, a solution was proposed and agreed with the reassurance that the problem would be solved. The work carried out was first class. Andy was professional, reassuring with the emphasis on providing an excellent service. The work carried out was clean, tidy and meticulous.

I was worried that we might have wood beetle in our roof so got in touch with Thanet Timber and Damp. They came round free of charge to take a look and were good enough to confirm that there was no active sign of infestation and there was no action that needed taking. They also gave me tips for preventative measures I could take to make sure no issues occur in the future. Super friendly, honest and helpful, highly recommended!

We had major damp issues in one of our reception rooms, Andy came to assess the problem and was very friendly, knowledgeable and supportive. The work started and throughout the process, we were informed of progress, any problems arising and remedies required. Simon who did the majority of the work, did it to a very high standard and has done an excellent job, his plastering is an artform. He was always pleasant and friendly, and helpful. We would certainly recommend this company, as we have been very impressed and pleased with their expertise and attention to detail.

I contacted Thanet Timber because I had a damp problem. Irene was very helpful and arranged for Andrew Dive to carry out a survey. The survey was very thorough and Andrew explained everything he had identified and sent a report. He was friendly and answered all my questions and said to ring him with any queries. This was very reassuring from the start. Andrew arrived as scheduled. Once work has started he discovered dry rot which was not in the original quote. He gave a new quote and set the deposit already paid against this. This was extremely helpful and considerate. Andrew kept me informed at all times. He is highly skilled and experienced and this is reflected in the completed work, which is excellent. Andrew and his team made sure that everywhere was clean and tidy before they left each time. He even repaired a problem on the roof which he did not charge for. Because Andrew is so accommodating, the whole process went very smoothly. I highly recommend Andrew not only family and friends but anyone requiring any of his services.

I used Thanet Timber and Damp Ltd for a not insubstantial list of work on my newly purchased Victorian house (damp proofing, internal and external timber work). They were extremely helpful, prompt, conscientious and always available for updates. I have used Thanet Timber & Damp to resolve damp problem in two different houses now, and each time they have done an excellent job. They are also very easy to deal with, right down from my initial conversation with Irene to the final completion of the works. Andrew really took his time to examine what the problem was in his initial survey, then explained clearly in laymen’s terms how he would rectify it. The work was then completed to a high standard in the time stated and the premises were kept very clean and tidy throughout the job. Andy and Simon completed extensive work in our property. This included installation of a new damp proof course, damp proof treatment of the internal walls and repairing/replastering. After having a survey carried out by you guys early on in the year, ive been trying to contact you in regards to some issues i need fixing. No one has responded to numerous emails or telephone calls which led me to believe you had closed down.

They charge for a survey and never get back to you. You have been warned! Several emails, multiple calls and nothing.

Really pleased with the service I received. Andy and Iréne went out of their way to help me meet a very tight timeline to get estimates on the work. The quote was very clear, broken down by individual tasks and price. When the work started Andy and Simon explained the timelines and what will be happening, were happy to discuss any questions I had. They tidied up after themselves each day and tried to reduce their impact on us as much a possible, which was really appreciated. They also helped me with another issue I had before wrapping up the main job which was great. Overall super impressed, would recommend fully and without hesitation.

We moved into a big old house and discovered a wealth of work that needed doing urgently. Andrew and Simon had a giant list of external and internal work to get through including wood repairs, damp, guttering, insulation, woodworm repairs.
