I’m Matt, from the picturesque village of Burham in Kent. Since founding That Pond Guy in 2021, I’ve turned my passion for ponds and fish into a trusted service with over 400 online reviews, helping pond owners across the South East create and maintain beautiful aquatic spaces. My journey began in 2018 with the construction of my own pond, which sparked my commitment to sharing my expertise and understanding of what it takes to keep ponds clear, healthy, and teeming with life.

My 30 year-old pond was starting to leak. I contacted Matt after reading the good reviews on his website. I was not disappointed.With the current good weather his team had fibreglassed the pond within a week. They were very professional and tidy and did a really good job. I am happy to have found a good company that I can contact if I have any problems in the future.

I have a large wildlife pond which had become extremely overgrown. The team completely drained and removed all vegetation taking great care of the surroundings. I was very impressed with the friendly ,swift and competent service and was kept informed at all stages. Great care was taken to not disturb the area around more than necessary and I was very impressed with the overall workmanship. I have no hesitation in recommending That Pond Guy for the clearing of ponds and leaving the area clean and tidy.

We’ve used ‘That Pond Guy’ several times, and would say they are a very good company to deal with. Matt arranged for Brad and Ash to come and do a pond clean. They arrived on time & set about the clean straight away. They were very friendly and knowledgeable & answered my questions regarding our fish. They were very tidy & cleared up after themselves. We were very pleased with Pond Guy. They were friendly and informative, answering questions and distributing the soil around our garden as requested. They were clean and tidy and made sure the plants were re-potted and put back, and the lighting was put back in working order. Our pond is now very clean, and our fish are very happy. Amazing Pond Tranformation
Matt and the team have completely trasnformed our pond. We have nothing but postive words to say about them. Communication with Matt was first class and always turned up exaclty when they said they would and all of them were polite and really good natured. Their work was efficient and to the highest quality and always offered guidance and advice to what work to carry out. They were also super clean and left the area spotless. We cannot recommend That Pond Guy enough - absolutely top class!

The Pond Guy provided 4 of their employees who worked very hard and efficiently to clean our pond. It was a very messy job but all of them just got on with it All fish looked after and deposited back in good order. Would recommend them especially as they cleaned up afterwards and respected property

I had a pond taken over with bull rushes, plants and weeds. As a pensioner it was beyond my ability to clear it and check for leaks myself. Natalie kept me updated on the arranged date regarding a delay and the new schedule. They arrive promptly at that time. Natalie was concerned about my carpets and arranged for Jacob to carefully carry the equipment through the house. They were both very kind and informative. They worked very efficiently despite the rain! I now have a clean pond with the necessary repairs completed for the agreed-upon quote. Apart from their professionalism, I was very pleased that although Natalie gave me information about my alternatives, there was absolutely no pressure to go beyond my needs. I can definitely recommend them!
