We’re a professional pond contractor company offering comprehensive pond services, from pond cleaning, pond maintenance and custom pond building to specialised pond fibreglassing, pond equipment supplies, large pond and lake maintenance and more. I’m Matt, from the picturesque village of Burham in Kent. Since founding That Pond Guy in 2021, I’ve turned my passion for ponds and fish into a trusted service with over 400 online reviews, helping pond owners across the South East create and maintain beautiful aquatic spaces. My journey began in 2018 with the construction of my own pond, which sparked my commitment to sharing my expertise and understanding of what it takes to keep ponds clear, healthy, and teeming with life.

We were very sceptical trying to find someone who could repair the leek that was costing us a lot of money keeping topping the pond up every day. What we wanted was a reliable professional company that would take care in the work that was required. Thankfully we found the right person who exceeded our expectation and they couldn't do enough to get the pond up and running. Matt understands how fish should be handled in transferring them from the pond to a holding tank and what was required to rectify the problem. We can't thank him enough and would recommend this company to anyone.

Our Experience with That Pond Guy and his team was great. The knowledge and expertise from Harvey was exceptional. All the lads worked so hard and were dedicated to our project. Nothing was too much trouble and things were explained clearly to us. We opted for a Burtons drum filter with bottom drains to keep maintenance at a low. We would definitely recommend this company to anybody who’s considering having a pond built or an existing pond maintained. We feel the price was justified for what we had done not cheap but worth the money spent on our pond

We called this small company as we had major problems with our garden pond. They came and completely cleaned the pond. The water is now crystal clear. They worked incredibly hard in the intense heat. They are polite and enthusiastic about their work, which isn't an easy task, cleaning out fish ponds. My husband and I wholeheartedly recommend this company. Well done, and thank you for all your hard work. We will certainly go to them again for maintenance and help.

Clear communication throughout. Team arrived on time and carried out the work efficiently and politely. Delighted with the result - we have a new pond. It wasn't cheap but we have had cowboys in the past who just empty the pond and throw all plants away. These guys know what they are doing. Matt, the boss also checked the work and whether we were happy with it

The guys turned up at the agreed time to empty and clean the pond, cut back any vegetation, cut back, repot and replace the existing lilies in the pond. They were very professional in their approach to the work, careful when removing and relacing the fish, frogs etc. Before starting they took the time to find our requirements as to what we might want to retain and what to dispose of, and where to disposed the material. All in all we were very satisfied with the work, which was complete exactly as their quotation, and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others

After not having any proper maintenance done on my pond in the last 10 years, Natalie and Ash carried out a deep clean, and fitted a new filter and pump, of which they did this to the highest standard. The team were excellent, created a friendly atmosphere, were extremely helpful, and were a pleasure to have around. Thank you all very much!

As always the Pond Guy delivers what it says on the packet. I have been using this excellent team for over a year and never been let down. This afternoon, Natalie and one of TPG teams turned up on time to give my pond its annual clean of pump and filter plus new UV bulb. Not only that they checked out and hopefully sealed a leaking splitter joint plus kindly repotted a Lilly, which I had forgotten about! Again they went the extra mile for customer satisfaction, just as they did when checking out a suspected leak on a cold day last January. Unlike many of the other pond servicing firms I’ve used over the years TPG came out briefly that same day in January to put my mind a rest and wouldn’t accept payment. They are thoroughly reliable, reasonable and friendly - real gems. I’d always recommend them for any pond work. Malcolm
