The Garage Door Company Southampton

Steven and Mathew from the Southampton branch came and repaired my garage door I'd bought from them 11 years ago, they really knew their stuff and the door now works as good as new again, brilliant job done!

Purchased a like for like Cardale double garage door from the Garage Door Company (Southampton Office). They took one month and 3 visits to complete the installation, the door was completely removed after the first installation at their cost due to poor quality. The door balance was incorrectly set up from first installation resulting in my existing door operator failing due to overload. This was replaced by another Company because I didn’t trust Garage Door Company fitters competence. The Installation Management Team are poor at job planning, quality assurance, communication and customer service. Their contracts are set up to ensure they are paid 100% before installation. I now understand why. My recommendation is do not use this company.

Today the 20th of September, yet another garage door arrives damaged. They did manage to get the door to close with the remote, something we have not been able to do for the last 4 or 5 weeks as the door just kept stopping. I am concerned as to how long it will work for as it still wobbles during operation. Once again the Garage Door company have ordered another replacement door so it should arrive in another 5 or 6 weeks time. I really hope that they inspect it prior to arrival. In short we have experienced appalling service, arrive with a damaged doors - in the 1st instance simply because they had packed another garage door on top of our door on the roof of the van. Garage door was then leant on the side of their vehicle and blew over causing even more damage. They sent out an area Manager to inspect - because our old garage door had been removed, they had to install the damaged one and we were advised that we would get a replacement. They installed the new garage door (the damaged one) and then said that the electric motor is not strong enough to open it, but they have a solution a new motor sitting in the van that they will sell to me and take my other one away with them. They left that day having installed a damaged double garage door and installed a new motor that was twice as slow as the previous one. Apologies they only let you put 1500 words in this space so I cannot give you more reasons not to use this business.
