Matt, Wayne and the team at the Garden Saint were fantastic from the get go. They had the unenviable job of undoing quite a lot of work done by a previous contractor. Matt's advice was great, they were lovely to work with and the finished job is awesome. They have built a raised terrace with patio, multiple steps, side walkway and finished it all beautifully. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. You'd be in safe hands.

We recently had The Garden Saint renovate our small garden, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! I first used The Garden Saint for a patio at my rental property some five years ago. Having done an excellent job then, there was no hesitation in employing them again recently for a more extensive garden works project, this time at my own home. Owner Matt Williams and his colleague Wayne were a pleasure to deal with from first contact/planning advice/discussion/quote, through to completion of the work. The project (back garden) involved removing and replacing large worn decking and sunken block paving areas with a new large sandstone patio wrapping around the rear of the house and garage. The back lawn was also dug up and re-laid with turf. The front garden was re-designed to create a new paved pathway, decorative stones and kerbing, while a low wall was also knocked down to allow another contractor to come and fit railings. Matt and Wayne were professional, honest, punctual, approachable and easily contactable throughout; also very knowledgeable, with excellent problem-solving skills and a creative eye for design. A couple of requests for tweaks and changes were easily accommodated as they went along. They worked extremely hard over a period of 2-3 weeks and completed the project on time and on budget, with 2-3 days being lost to the weather. They were respectful of property and neighbours and took great care to clean up after each day and at the end of the project. Overall, a superb job!

Thanks to Matt and his team who did a fantastic job refreshing our garden. They built a new very sturdy retaining wall, laid two patio areas and replaced our pergola and put in a raised bed. They gave great advice about materials and took pride in their work. It was a big job that took a few weeks, but they were a pleasure to have around and worked extremely hard and battled the weather! We would highly recommend them and they are already coming back to work on our neighbours garden.

I bought a new build house with a mud patch for a garden. Matt, The Garden Saint, listened to my ideas and turned them into a wonderful outdoor space. His communication and advice is excellent. The attention to detail is superb. All at a very fair price. I 100% would recommend him to anyone who wants to landscape their garden.

I contacted The Garden Saint after seeing all the positive reviews on WHICH? Trusted Traders and was not disappointed. My existing garden was completely stripped and leveled with the help of new soil. A new and much bigger patio was laid with porcelain tiles and a wall built with matching bricks to the house with two steps up to new lawn. The lawn was edged with blocks to ensure I wouldn't damage the shape of the lawn. At Matt's suggestion two planters were built with a wooden seat between them on one side of the patio to hide a fence. The result was perfect. When the shrubs and flowers were put in the result was a magical transformation. Matt then covered the gravel to the side and front of the house, removing some old rockery stones, with new gravel which made the whole transformation complete. Matt and Wayne worked tirelessly and with such detailed precision that I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

We contacted ‘The Garden Saint’ having seen the work they did for our next door neighbour. We are delighted with the final result which has made our back garden much more manageable and a pleasure to look at and sit in. Matt was very good at both listening to our initial ideas and suggesting other options. Matt and Wayne clearly take a pride in their work, always explained what they planned to do, worked solidly and always tidied up at the end of each day. We were billed exactly as per the original quote. We have already recommended ‘The Garden Saint’ to several friends and neighbours and are hoping for a return visit for some work in our front garden.

Just wanted to give a shout out for Matt and his team for a fantastic job they done in our garden, planted a row of hedges built a retaining wall to level up with existing lawn new fence and gate and some extra’s , they even managed to squeeze us in because of the growing season for the hedges and all this was done in the most atrocious weather we’ve had this year, very pleased with end result, site was left clean and tidy, would highly recommend thank you garden saint.

We're so pleased we employed Matt & his team to give our back garden a makeover. Access wasn't easy as it's a closed garden so they had to come through the garage & kitchen; they werent deterred by this & ensured the house was left as they found it. Garden was stripped of all unwanted shrubs, patio & lawn. These were replaced with removing overgrown shrubs, old lawn & patio, beautiful porcelain tiles, & a new artificial lawn. Matt, Leigh & Wayne, are knowledgeable, efficient, polite, friendly & most importantly very good at their job. Would definitely Italy recommend them. Thanks Garden Saint, we love our new garden.

Matt made such a good impression when we first met him, that we knew we wanted to employ him. It was obvious he was experienced, he listened to what we wanted and was happy to make suggestions from the outset. We originally employed The Garden Saint (Matt, Leigh and Wayne), in November last year, to replace our patio. They removed the old one, extended and altered the shape, then relaid it with porcelain tiles. In addition, they replaced the bricks around the lawn to complement the patio. They did such a good job, that we asked them back and they recently completed another job for us! This time it was our drive. It wasn’t straightforward, because of the blocks and the design we had chosen in relation to the shape of our garden, but once again, they did an excellent job and we’re extremely pleased with it! They also removed and replaced the gravel in the rest of the front garden, to match in with the drive. They all worked really well as a team and were professional, friendly, polite and considerate. They turned up when they said they would, were very hardworking, always tidied up at the end of each day and any queries were addressed promptly. We would have no hesitation in recommending The Garden Saint!

We recently had Garden Saint round to renovate our garden, which included completely levelling the entire area, laying a new patio, constructing a play area for the kids trampoline and re-turfing the lawn. The standard of work was excellent and we’re really pleased with the end result. Matt and his team are all friendly, hard working and professional. He gave us lots of designs ideas when we discussed what we wanted. He was also patient and understanding when we took time to decide or changed our mind, as we had difficulty deciding on a design with the space we had to work with. They left everything tidy after finishing for the day, and gave everything a very thorough clean once they had finished the job. Matt even came back and did the first lawn cut to check it was bedding in well, which was great. We’ve had nothing but compliments from friends and family that have seen our new garden. Therefore, we’d highly recommend Garden Saint to anyone that wants work done to their garden.

What can I say, Matt and the boys from Garden Saint were a pleasure to have at my house. From the first contact with Matt I knew he was the man for the job. Polite, courteous and more importantly for me, knew what he was talking about, had to wait for the man as he was stacked out, but I am so glad I did and he managed to fit us in, well worth the wait! Matt, Wayne and Leigh from arriving on the first morning were first class, nothing was too much trouble, all knew what they were doing, what the plan was and workmanship was outstanding. They ripped up our existing decking, laid a new patio, stepping stones, fence posts and panels and even made good of our older uneven posts and panels, nothing was too much trouble and all at a fair price. Come the end, even got the boys to lay me a new lawn to finish the job off as they were so professional at what they do!! I really can't recommend this company enough, always cleaned and tidied before they left every day and did exactly what they said they would do at the agreed price in the agreed time... I could go on for longer, but will only be saying the same thing... GARDEN SAINT are amazing and can't speak about them any more highly! We can't recommend Matt and his team highly enough. We have had a patio re-designed and laid and a new brick storage shed built and we couldn't be happier with the result. From my first contact, Matt's communication was excellent. We had an idea of what we wanted when we started but as the job developed we altered and adapted a few things. Matt was always happy to listen, discuss different options and provide his professional advice, nothing was too much trouble. I am really happy with the work completed in my garden. The end result is fabulous and it was a very stress free process. From the first meeting with Matt and throughout the work everyone was helpful and considerate. They took care to protect my home as they had to come through it to access the garden, and more importantly for me they took care of my cats. At the start I did not have a clear idea of the end result I wanted and appreciated Matt’s experience and guidance. His recommendations have ensured a successful project.

My husband and I recently move house and we wanted the garden completely redoing. We heard about Matt and his team through word of mouth. Matt came to talk to myself and my husband within a few days of contacting him. He really listened to the style and finish we wanted and was really helpful and forth coming with ideas. Both my husband and I really felt we were included and listened to throughout the planning stage. Work was commenced with 4 weeks of initial consultation. We agreed for a new patio to be laid, 2 raised based made of sleepers to be made, grass to be removed, ground leveled and fake grass laid, and also the construction of a stone gabion wall. Matt, Wayne and Lee were just great. Really kind, polite and Wayne's singing is extremely entertaining. They turned up when they said they would and some days didn't even stop for lunch. All of them are so clean and tidy it was great. We hardly knew they were there. Matt was transparent with costs from the get go and all in all was great. I would highly recommend matt and his team. I did a lot of research and had a number of quotes, I went with Matt as he had a good knowledge and provided a detailed quote. He is busy but worth the wait. He arrived on time every day, worked hard and I felt went the extra mile to finish off the garden (new patio put in) I’m very happy with the quality of work and how it has turned out.

I approached Matt on the basis of the reviews on this website, and am very pleased that I did. His preliminary visit showed that he was an experienced and knowledgeable professional and understood my requirements. I needed a large amount of concrete taken up, replaced with gravel and a stabilisation grid, a path laid, and some fencing erected, with some planting underneath. The job proceeded smoothly, even when there wasn't a skip to be had in Bristol. I was particularly pleased with his suggestions, which I took up, for improving the look of the path. And his conscientious communication throughout was good too. I am very happy to recommend him and his team. I love my restyled back garden.

We have had a new patio built and an old one replaced, and are so pleased with the quality of the job that Matt and his team have done. He was great at keeping us up to date with what he had planned and when he was going to do it, and when the weather didn't allow, he let me know early in the morning. The attention to detail was excellent, there were two drains that needed to be recessed and hidden, and he even built a flower bed for me to stop my dog from escaping! The guys were friendly and accommodating, even when they had to deal with a problematic neighbour! I would happily recommend The Garden Saint.

I chose this firm partly because of the reviews on here and partly from comparing photos of their finished work with those on other websites, and I was not disappointed. I had Matt and his men in to completely revamp our back garden, replacing disintegrating paving slabs, a poor-quality lawn and a dirty gravel area with new paving, lawn, composite decking, trellises, vegetable patch, fencing and a made to measure wooden gate. I also had a gravel area at the front replaced and a low fence built there. Matt clearly knew what he was doing, and made some useful suggestions, including one about drainage that I had not thought of. The work was completed to a high standard and included a few useful touches like gravelling over narrow spaces and corners. Matt and his two helpers were friendly and efficient, and he was personally involved most of the time - I had a bad experience in the past where the guy giving the quote knew what he was doing but left the work to a couple of unsupervised trainees. Everything was cleared away and tidied up at the end, and the cost was fair for the work done.

We used The Garden Saint Ltd to completely renovate our garden, including laying a new patio, garden path, pergola and fence. Right from the outset, Matt was responsive and clearly wanting to deliver our vision. Unfortunately, the work was delayed due to the lockdown. However, the garden has just been finished and we couldn't be more pleased. I had high expectations of the outcome based on the way Matt had interacted with us before it started - but, the final result surpassed our expectations. Matt and his team were meticulous with all aspects of the job - making sure everything was executed perfectly. We really can't find a fault. They were especially organised, clean and tidy. Highly professional. My only negative comment is that the weather has been rubbish since the work finished and we've not yet been able to relax in our lovely outdoor space.
