I contacted Richard for a carpentry job to refix a tiled panel (weighing 12 kg) which had been cut out of a bathroom cabinet to upgrade my boiler. This work was too heavy for me, and the panel needed to be cut down to size to enable hinges to be attached to become a panel door. Richard did an excellent job, and I was impressed by his attention to detail in making all the surrounding area good after the work.

Richard came to fix my back doors, which were not fitting flush and were not locking properly, due to water leaking in. He removed the doors, shaved them slightly, and refitted them. He also fitted a new storm bar and made good including painting. The job was completed as per his timescale and the cost was reasonable. Richard is very approachable, helpful and communication was great. He came back when I was unable to fully deploy one of the locks and readjusted it so also provided good aftercare. I would recommend Richard and will be using The Lockdoctors London again if I ever need help.

I locked myself out and called The Lock Doctors on the number provided by Trusted Trader at the recommendation of a friend. Richard picked up and accepted the job telling me that he would get to me within a hour or so. He kept me in touch with progress as traffic was bad and arrived as planned. Within 15 minutes, I was inside my flat. He managed to open the door without causing any damage to the lock or the door itself. He was professional, helpful and reassuring - we had agreed the price beforehand and everything went smoothly - all in all a terrific job and I cannot praise him highly enough.

I recently hired Lock Doctors to change the locks on my property and add some additional security. Richard came for a free site visit and to give us a quote. He offered good insight on how to improve our general security. He was courteous and attentive. He stayed longer on the job than he had expected to deal with a challenging patio door and came back for another visit without any fuss to deal with a few adjustments, which I had flagged. We agreed on a fair price at the end for the extra time but he didn't slap me with an inflated overtime bill. Generally, I found The Lock Doctors really good to work with and based on this experience I would use their services again and happily recommend them to others.

I called this company and was impressed by their speedy attendance. The locksmith was punctual, respectful and knowledgeable. The locksmith kept me informed through every stage of the process and sought to do what was needed and best for my situation. The locksmith was both methodical and tidy. The lock that was replaced was better than the previous faulty one as it offered an ease of opening whilst maintaining security. I was very pleased with the service and would highly recommend this company.

Richard sorted out the door in my wooden French window - he has made it water tight. Previously it was letting in water when there was heavy rain. First of all he came round and examined the door and we discussed the problem. This was very helpful because it was not just caused by the state of the door. Richard then returned and fitted a type of threshold seal and door sill. The combination has made the door water tight. Richard is always very helpful and reliable. Highly recommended.

Our door lock was not engaging properly and I called Richard on the basis of the good reviews here and fact he mentioned carpentry (the fix involved shaving a bit off the door). We also had a couple of other minor issues with a garage door and lock on a side entrance He came out later that day, fixed all the issues quickly. He also alerted us to a potential risk with our letterbox, which was also resolved. he kept costs to a minimum and provides excellent value for money. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

We contacted Richard as we were having problems with our front door lock jamming. Our Chubb lock also needed looking at. Richard phoned me as we had arranged and set my expectations about his arrival time. He was very polite and friendly and quickly fixed the Chubb lock. The other lock was replaced and he was very clean and tidy. I would definitely use him again and would happily recommend him.

I hired them for a non-emergency service as my door became harder and harder to lock. They came and sorted it out in one go and explained what happened and what was the cause of the issue. I was also able to get an invoice and pay by card straight away. Totally recommend them

The lock on my door stopped working. I phoned The Lock Doctors in the morning and Chad was able to come the same day and fix it for me. Amazing level of service, Chad kept me informed of his estimated time of arrival and fixed the problem in half an hour, changing the cylinder and giving me 3 spare keys. Very polite and informative as to the cause of the problem and things to keep an eye for future maintenance, I was also charged a very reasonable price to solve the problem. I highly recommend The Lock Doctors and I will definitely be using them again, as I'm very happy with the service provided.

We had a crisis early evening when garage and garden gate and other keys were lost ( or stolen?) Richard at Lockdoctors arrived on time as promised and replaced the locks. Most impressed with the friendly approach, professional work and reasonable cost, which will ensure we will use this Company in future not only for locks/ keys but other services they undertake.

I used the Lock Doctors Ltd when I locked myself out of my house. Richard texted me that he was on his way and arrived within the hour as agreed when I contacted him. Richard was very pleasant, took care to verify my right of entry and was able to get me back in with no fuss and no damage to the door and kindly looked at a broken window handle whilst he was there. I would definitely use him again.

Richard from The Lock Doctors came to replace an old espagnolette lock with a two-way locking lever handle. The door itself is a beautiful, reclaimed, antique glazed french door which meant the job required some joinery and much patience and care. Richard gave me lots of advice over the phone and came to inspect the job promptly. It took 2 visits to complete the job but only because we were waiting for the new handles to arrive. But he was very patient and understood that it was important that the fittings suited the door. Richard took the time to ensure I was buying the right products - not just for the job but also ones that suited the aesthetic. He was very considerate and willing to put in the effort to ensure the job was done right. I had previously tried 4 other locksmiths including a renowned chain of locksmiths all of whom were dismissive or complained that the job was too much work for them but Richard just got stuck in. Not only that but the door is now so well fitted that the draughtproofing has also improved. He has subsequently repaired another lock for me, going over and above on that occasion too. I highly recommend The Lock Doctors - worth every penny for an excellent job and service.

Richard was excellent. I rang in the morning and he came round the same day. My UPVC door had not been closing for some time. While on the phone, Richard asked me to check if the key would still turn in the lock - it would. When he called round, he fixed the problem very quickly and his charge was very reasonable. There was a bit of an issue with his card machine which he sorted out for me straight away. Altogether, I would highly recommend The Lock Doctors and Richard in particular.

I needed to have my flat door repaired to bring it in line with fire safety requirements. This included replacing the self-closing mechanism, sanding down the frame so that it closed properly, fitting new hinges, and applying intumescent strips. Rich was great to speak to on the phone, he was very patient with me as I went through all the things I needed to have done. He came within the week to sort out the door, and did an excellent job. Extremely polite and knowledgeable; would definitely recommend!

I called Lock Doctors and they came out the same day, luckily for me! The back metal gate had snapped the key off in the lock and the lock doctor luckily had a special tool for the Locinox lock, otherwise it would have been a wasted journey and I would have had to call a specialist! The lock doctor took off the lock and replaced the cylinder with an EVA lock and gave me 3 spare keys. Really friendly and exceptional service. Very happy result for me and the tenants. Thank you!

I had been let down by another locksmith so came to Which? and found The Lock Doctors. My front door handle was loose and I was worried it could come off in my hand so I needed someone to look it over. They turned up on time, kept me informed of what was going on, fitted a new handle and serviced the lock and mechanism. All in all it took about an hour and I felt the price was reasonable for the time and effort involved.

I had recently been in a car crash. During the rescue process I managed to lose the only remaining key to my French door gate leading into the garden. As I am partially disabled this was a major blow. I contacted The Lock Doctors in desperation at 11.17am and low and behold at 12.21pm they arrived. They installed a new lock at a minimal cost and 2 hours later I had my freedom and piece of mind back. They are now plastered all over my FB page lol. I highly recommend them.

Took wrong keys out and locked ourselves out. Had key for bottom lock but not top one. Lockdoctor came round in about half an hour as promised and managed to open the door with a struggle but no damage. Nice guy too and very reasonable price.
