After quoting for a replacement valley a crew arrived very quickly as arranged and completed the job on time. I was kept informed of progress throughout and offered good advice on future maintenance on all aspects of my roof. On completion I was sent a detailed invoice all as per the quote together with photos of the valley before, during and after the work . I would not hesitate in recommending them.

Derek and his team did a great job fixing our roof. It was a complex project that required a new zinc gutter and downpipe. He arrived very quickly for an initial visit and I was impressed by his knowledge and understanding of what was required. Work began promptly, which was great as we wanted a waterproof roof before autumn! Bad weather slowed the process a little, but it was definitely a pretty quick turnaround for a tricky project. Now I actually enjoy being in the house when it rains and hearing the water hitting our lovely new gutter! Overall I would definitely recommend The Roofing Crew - Derek really knows his stuff and did a very good job.

I contacted The Roofing Crew after I found them on Trusted Traders as a local company. They had a good rating and (with others) I asked for a quote for roofing work which had been flagged up in an earlier structural survey . Derek and his team arrived on time to investigate and of the three contractors I had round (some didn't respond) they were the only one's who suggested that the flat roof had failed (there was no internal evidence). I also needed some chimney stack work, which was visibly required (replacement pots, capping, replacing bricks and flashing etc). The replacement roof would add a significant amount to the overall cost and I was (understandably i think) cautious. Derek assured me that once the old felt was off the evidence would be there. He was absolutely right and provided me with photos to prove it. Derek's team arrived on the agreed date and finished the job within the stated time window. They were at all times courteous and kept the site clean and tidy. This was not a low cost job (two weeks work for the team) but I felt it was a fair price for quality work. Derek was even able to reduce the final bill by several hundred by using some different materials. He had, incidentally, provided me with one of the most detailed quotes I've had from a builder, all materials listed and priced alongside the labour required. On completion Derek sent me more than 50 photos showing the work process. I have been very satisfied with the Roofing Crew's work.

The Roofing Crew saved me after a bad experience with rogue traders who effectively dismantled my roof. They came immediately, removed the rubble and covered the roof until they could start the work. Then they made me a new roof as well as helping with interior damage. They had to work in wet conditions but carried on! Excellent, professional and friendly. I would highly recommend.

The Roofing crew replaced a badly leaking tiled roof on my low kitchen extension with a felted roof. They also replaced the old leadwork and made repairs to the adjacent brickwork as necessary. The work was carried out as arranged on the starting date and completed efficiently in the timescale and budget agreed. At the end of the job all rubbish was removed and the site cleaned. Derrick was helpful and considerate, communicated well throughout and provided a 10 year guarantee on the work. The Roofing Crew carried out a reflashing of the walls of the main roof. Derek provided a comprehensive quote and even though there was a long delay from our side (getting all the Leaseholders to agree), once we agreed to use the Roofing Crew, work started quickly and was completed on time. I found Derek's guys to be pleasant and efficient. They turned up every day and just got on with the job. I just wish other traders would take a leaf out of their book.

I have a side extension to the house and the box gutter is 5 meters long. Derek came and then provided a very detailed quote for the work. The work was to take 2 men 4.5 days and the supply and fit price of the quote was exactly what the final bill came to. Derek and his colleagues inspected my roof after I consulted them about long-term gradual water ingress into the ceiling. They showed me by way of many good photos the nature of the likely problem at the edges of the roof and assured me that the rest of the roof was fine, only the edges needed reinstating correctly. At no point does Derek ever upsell a job to cost you more money, such as by encouraging work that is not necessary. Communication was good, and I understood the problem. The job was completed with very little disruption over two weeks, while they coped around poor spring weather. This has been the third roof I have had worked on by the Roofing Crew, and I would not hesitate to recommend them on all bases. I shall be consulting them about yet another roof at work quite soon!

Derek project managed and his crew, his lads as he called them, repaired my roof. There was quite a bit wrong with it and more slates than quoted for needed replacing. However, he did not charge extra for them. His clear , detailed and very well presented quote was not the cheapest, but he inspired confidence and was so knowledgeable and passionate about roofs, he could easily write a thesis about them, that I chose him. I was right. He responded to phone calls swiftly, send the "crew" straight away to fix my TV cable which had been moved. He also sent me fifty before and after pictures. The crew, two of them, were courteous , cleared up after themselves, were efficient, knew what they were doing and were ready to go that extra mile. I would highly recommend The Roofing Crew.

I found Derek Little of The Roofing Crew on Which? Trusted Traders and he didn't disappoint. He gave me a very detailed quote for reroofing a free-standing garage, came a few days later and did the work in three and a half days. Now my garage looks so much better than all the others! He took lots of photos before and after, explained everything to me carefully, and was very pleasant. He even persuaded me to climb partway up his ladder so I could see what had been done! I used The Roofing Crew to overhaul a 1980s roof which was a mix of flat felted and angled tiled surfaces. They shared lots of photos from their initial survey and Derek took time over the phone to explain what needed doing and his recommendations. The work was completed as asked and they quickly came back to fix an error with the gutter fitting once I got in touch about it, without further charge.

All accomplished over 6 days by two hard working men. Derek provides photos showing what needs repairs, a detailed quotation, photos as the work progresses, and the completed job. I called The Roofing Crew to check out what had been a leak, and perhaps still was, at the apex the roof of my house - a converted chapel. The first thing that impressed me was that Derek Little, the director of the company, praised the work done on my roof 20 years ago. In my experience traders normally criticise the work of previous workmen, so that immediately told me here was someone I could trust. The area around the chimney where the leak had occurred was thoroughly inspected and found sound, but he went out of his way to get his man to climb a tall ladder up to the double height ceiling of the chapel to check with a hygrometer that the area was now completely dry. Derek Little is a friendly person, alongside being professional, transparent and trustworthy. He goes that extra mile, which not many people these days, do.

We had a leak over the winter at the join between the original roof and our loft conversion. The Roofing Crew came when they'd promised, were pleasant and helpful, and appear to have done an excellent job, leaving the roof in better than original condition. Many photos show clearly what has been done. Finished on schedule and to budget. While up there they found a leak in a valley elsewhere on the roof (demonstrated from the ground and more clearly with photos), and we asked them to deal with this. One of the guys couldn't complete this second job due to becoming a father earlier than expected, and the splendid owner, Derek Little, took his place to avoid delay - not something we guess he does often nowadays. This stretched the work somewhat, and some unexpected problems increased the cost, but by less than the additional time would have been charged at. In addition a thorough flat roof insurance inspection was made and certificate produced, time was spent cleaning out and reseating our troublesome porch guttering, and a few other minor problems were dealt with, all without charge. Having a personal recommendation we did not get other quotes, so we can only comment cautiously on value for money, but judging by materials costs and time spent by a team which clearly wanted to do the job properly the cost seemed reasonable. They may or may not be the cheapest, and only severe weather will test what's been done, but we'd go back to them with confidence.

I own a shared freehold of an attached terraced house. Following significant leaks originating from the back roof of my pitched-roof property, I set about interviewing various roofers/roofing companies to determine the type of repair necessary and an estimate of cost. After six different roofers provided me with as many solutions to the problem – ranging from a completely new roof to a one-day repair job – and a variation in costs ranging from £45,000 to £2,700, I was just about to lose the will to live when I came across The Roofing Crew (TRC). First, high praise to Derek Little, the owner of TRC, and his crew. During their initial visit they advised me of an additional problem – one more serious than my leaking back roof – the chimney pots at the front of the property were about to fall into the street – and required my immediate attention. This was something no other roofer had bothered to mention. Second, for putting me in touch with a scaffolding company that charged an extremely reasonable price to assemble a large scaffold. Third, for providing me with a detailed list of costs for material and labour. Fourth, for Derek keeping me informed of each step of the process as it was carried out. But ultimately, for the brilliant quality of the completed work by professional roofers Ulis and Vlad, for the before and after photographs provided and, finally, for the clean-up following completion which was impeccable.

I needed a replacement for a Victorian bay window roof. Several companies I contacted did not come round but asked me for photos. The Roofing Crew came round and took their own. I found them easy to communicate with and they followed up on things quickly. Once the work was started they continued every day until it was competed. I appreciated the way their lads handled the process with consideration and a good atmosphere. I'm very pleased with how the roof looks and haven't had any problems since. Please note that the Which website required me to give them a star rating for quality and value, but I did this reluctantly since I am not a roofing expert and can only make a superficial judgement. I chose this company based on the advice they themselves gave me. I could have got a much cheaper roof done but decided to trust their advice about having a roof that would last. Time will tell if it was the right thing to do.

Roofing Crew did a great job of replacing my old glass kitchen extension roof with a pitched tiled roof with velux windows. I am no longer heating up the sky! Robert the Head of my crew, did great work and the team were always on time and left the area clean and tidy. I have no hesitation in recommending them. They may not be the cheapest but they do a first class job so you get what you pay for in the end I guess.

I used The Roofing Crew to sort out a problem with a leak in the middle floor of our house which was located within a former chimney breast now converted to an alcove for a heated towel rail. We had been experiencing water damage in this area of our house for over 10 years ( dripping whenever there was wind and rain... with the result that we had a hole leading into the chimney).Previous builders had diagnosed the problem and as a result we had had the external chimney re cladded and they sealed the roof around the chimney breast.... but the rain continued to come in. I had paid for scaffolding on the previous job so was keen to avoid this cost again so called in The Roofing Crew as they specifically work on long ladders which negates the need for scaffold. They arrived, took lots of photographs of the roof which they sent me to show how the roof had previously repaired incorrectly and how many of the roof slates had been cracked by the previous builders. Usually one would have to take this sort of thing on trust but I was able to clearly see where the issues were. Derek from the Roofing Crew also advised me that our specific leak was not actually from the roof but was from the chimney pots. Since our repairs we have had no leaks and it has rained quite hard since then. The roofers worked in all weather, were polite and cleared up completely after themselves and we were also given additional photographs showing the work throughout each stage and the completed job.
