Having had leaks in my 100 year old roof I’ve recently had a new roof installation by Thomas McCoy and I could not recommend this company highly enough. From the very first meeting with the proprietor, I have felt totally confident in the honest advice and the work that has been carried out. At all times I have found Tommy and his colleagues to be professional, reliable, courteous, trustworthy, respectful of me and my property and importantly hard grafters. They arrived every day for an 8am start, cleaned up when they finished each day and worked all weathers where necessary and possible. Nothing was too much trouble including additional jobs asked of them in areas previously not accessible without the scaffolding. The work was competitively priced and the final cost for the roof work matched the original estimate with no hidden surprises. I couldn’t thank them enough. The house is watertight again, the roof looks great and I am a very satisfied customer.

Thomas McCoy installed a roof at my property in 2017, providing A 10-year insurance backed guarantee. I purchased the property in 2020 and paid to have the guarantee transferred into my name. His workmanship was faulty, and we've had leaks into our kitchen. Another builder visited and was shocked by the poor installation. I tried to contact Thomas multiple times over the last few years and he has just ignored me. Eventually, after contacting the CORC (Confederation of Roofing Contractors), Thomas visited in December 2021, recognising the issues, and promising to remedy the works in January 2022. He has since dissolved his company and is trading under a slightly different name, as an unregistered company. He did not revise to fix his shoddy work, and continues to ignore my communications. I can't use my insurance backed guarantee because CORC has re-registered his company name, and the insurance provider (HIP) say he is still technically trading. He should be avoided at all costs.

Tommy and his team replaced the tiled roof on our 1960s detached house, including removal of the chimney stack and some redundant brickwork from a previously-removed water-tank. The work was completed within a week and done efficiently and to a good standard. The team arrived at 7.30 each day and the boys were friendly and did their best to avoid any inconvenience to us. Tommy charged a fair price for the job and kept to the quoted price. I would recommend them.

Came recommended and responded very quickly as our roof was leaking. Work carried out and completed to a high standard. Very friendly and tidy crew. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I contacted Thomas on a Tuesday morning via another trader contact system, and he turned up in the afternoon to look at the job (chimney stack removal and make good roof). Quote agreed, and job completed by the following Sunday morning, scaffolding taken down on the following Monday morning. Fabulous job, clean, tidy and great communication. Thomas did a bit more than I asked for to help me out. Would thoroughly recommend.

Thomas was prompt in providing a quote, explained to works and was competitive on price. Works were started within a week of the quote, all works completed on time and to a high standard. Thomas also recommended tradesman to deal with a few issue uncovered during the works. Would recommend.

Tommy and the lads did a reroof for me and my immediate neighbours, three in a row in Crundale Crescent. Well pleased. Quick, tidy, well priced. If you need a roof these guys are great

Thomas was recommended to us and we contacted him because the covers had blown off two of our roof vents and were lost/broken. Thomas very kindly squeezed us in at short notice, arriving on time and finishing in the timeframe he said. Thomas supplied the new vents and fitted them, and helped us avoid having two holes in our roof ahead of heavy rain forecast for the next day. Thomas was great value and would certainly use again for any roofing jobs.
