We contacted Craig to replace our existing hall and staircase carpet in a Victorian terrace property. We knew what colour we wanted and Craig provided us with numerous samples and options from which we made the choice. When it came to the fitting we were blown away by the thoroughness and attention to detail. This started with the removal of the existing carpet. I was happy for Craig to remove the existing carpet and lay the new one. He wasn't however. Having checked the floor he insisted on securing, reaffixing and replacing some of the floorboards and then skimmed other areas of the solid floor to ensure a totally flat surface. We did not ask, insist or expect any of this. When it came to the laying of the carpet and underlay Craig did all the work himself which included rehanging doors and any other minor repairs that he thought would be beneficial. The job was completed in the allotted time to the agreed cost and the area was left spotless. We are more than delighted with the finished product.

I recently hired Craig from Thorner Flooring Services for a complete relaying of all the hard flooring throughout my downstairs. The result is absolutely stunning, but what impressed me most was the incredibly professional service from start to finish. Craig was on time every single day and the job was completed on budget, doing exactly what he said he would do. His work ethic is superb: he's friendly, just gets on with the job, and operates with remarkable consideration. He carefully moved and replaced all the furniture and took a tremendous amount of care in keeping the house tidy throughout the two-week project. He was so clean and tidy, tidying up thoroughly each day, that if it hadn't taken two weeks, I wouldn't have known he had been here. This level of attention to detail and respect for my home is rare. Excellent service from first contact, choosing the carpet, ordering and through to fitting. Craig and David did a great job with the fitting of a much needed bedroom carpet. Planed the door to fit and removed all rubbish. Left everything tidy and ready to move furniture/bed back in to the room which they obligingly helped with!

Craig took us through the various options for a new floor, and did a thorough survey of the task ahead. After previously using Craig to fit new carpet in all our bedrooms, we used Craig again to replace a floorboard on our landing and replace the carpet on our stairs. From start to finish Craig carries out the work to a very high standard, with regular communication on how the job is progressing. Really pleased with the work carried out and will definitely use Craig’s services again.

Craig fixed floorboards and fitted new timber support battens in the downstairs hallway and first floor landing, then replaced the carpet on the stairs and landing, with underlay. He planed the doors and fitted new grippers and door strips. All rubbish removed, area vacuumed and looks completely spotless. All communication was responsive and professional and the work completed to a high standard in super quick time. The new carpet is like walking on a cloud! Craig is very considerate and friendly and I would absolutely recommend Thorner Flooring services and would use their services again.

I reached out to Thorner Flooring to sort out some very creaky floorboards that had been bothering us for years. Craig was very responsive, did an incredible job, and managed to eliminate almost all of the creakiness. The price was fair, and he left the place cleaner than he found it! This is the second time that Thorner Flooring has worked on my house. Previously they did all of the flooring upstairs. This time, the company transformed all of the downstairs and it looks wonderful. Initially, Craig pointed out issues with damp on part of the floor, which was concrete, and then, when a different company that I’d engaged had made a bodge job of the damp‑proofing, he went to a lot of trouble to find another company to remove and replace the damp‑proofing before Thorner Flooring started work. Thorner Flooring repaired poor-condition floorboards and skirting, moved units and furniture around as needed and then refitted them carefully. They laid pale Quickstep laminate to all of the ground floor, including the kitchen and hallway, and a grey patterned vinyl to the downstairs toilet room. Thorner Flooring took a lot of trouble to ensure that the boards and vinyl were laid properly and worked hard to get everything done in the timescale agreed. Really really really happy with the work and will definitely use Thorner Flooring again in the future. Have also recommended Thorner Flooring to others.

I contacted this company requesting a visit to supply and fit new carpets. A day and time was agreed to discuss my needs, which involved the supply and fitting of 3 carpets, underlay, grippers and door strips and where required, planing the doors as well as lifting and removing all existing carpeting. Following receipt of the estimate which I accepted, and the required deposit paid, a date to carry out the work was agreed upon. The team arrived on the day and proceeded on the 1st room. Before starting on the 2nd room all furniture stored there had to be moved which they were happy to do for me. Day 2 and the work was completed in room 2 and the most difficult shaped hallway. All work was carried out efficiently, tidily and professionally with all waste removed and the floors cleaned and furniture replaced. I have used Thorner Flooring before and were my first and only choice on this occassion and I am very satisfied with the service and would recommend.

Really impressed with the excellent customer service I have received from Thorner Flooring Services. I needed a new room carpeting fairly quickly - they promised me this could be done, made sure they delivered. The carpet is lovely, was a very, very reasonable price, and they have removed all waste from the site for me. This is the third room I have had carpeted in the past couple of years, and I wish I had known about Thorner Flooring before now, as my positive experience with them is very different to what I've had before! Highly recommend.

From first contact Craig was straightforward to deal with, called when he said he would and arrived at my house when he said he would. I'd asked Craig to put some new vinyl flooring down in my bathroom. Craig removed the old floor, fixed loose floor boards and made sure the job was done properly. The work was done within a day as Craig had advised me it would be. Craig ensured the job was done to a high standard, in a friendly manner, and it is obvious he prides himself on a high level of workmanship.

Thorner Flooring Services provided a high quality service from the start to the end. We were able to discuss our requirements and could choose from a variety of samples in the comfort of our home. Service was prompt and included any necessary repairs to floorboards, even some decorating prior to fitting the staircase carpet! The work was done extremely neatly and the house was left beautifully tidy. All the old carpets and waste was removed. The carpets are wonderful, we know it be durable and last for many years (having been previous happy customers of this company many years ago), we would not want to go anywhere else.

Craig has just finished replacing carpets in our 3 bedrooms, stairs and landing and living room and we think he's done a fantastic job. After first contacting him, Craig was quick to get back to me, and came out that day to have a look around the house. He offered lots of advice, and we never felt pressured to commit to anything, although we were happy with the written quote he provided. We are really impressed with the quality of the work, Craig takes the time to do the job to the highest standard rather than trying to cut corners and do things quickly. This included numerous time consuming fixes to our floor boards, especially on our landing which hadn't been left in a great state by previous works and was noticeably uneven and noisy - however, it now feels as good as new. I really can't recommend Thorner Flooring enough and will definitely be using them again in the future.
