Tim Lawson Electrical Contractors

Having just carried out some major alterations to our kitchen for which I needed quite a lot of electrical alterations and additions I used Tim Lawson. I found him and the apprentice really easy to get on with and they completed all of the planned work plus the extras that we needed. First Class job and on budget.

Had three new ceiling light fittings requiring installation, including removal of old ones, one of which was a light/fan. Booked a time and a date for the work to be done. On the day, received a message informing me when Tim would arrive. And he arrived promptly, on time. First impressions, very polite and amicable, explained what I wanted he explained how he was going to do it and then he got on with the work. It's been a week now everything is working as it should. Overall happy with the work carried out happy with the manner in which Tim carried himself in my home cost don't know what other electricians charge but it seemed a fair price for the work and I'm happy to support a local business. Overall On personal experience I would be happy to call Tim for any electrical work I may need doing and have kept his number in my phone contacts list.

This is the second time Tim has been to my home to do electrical work and I would willing to call him again. This time I called him because my extractor fan had stopped working. As soon as he walked to the door he realised that there was an isolator switch above the bathroom door and this had been switched off. Whilst on the premises I asked him to look at one of my lights which appeared to have water in it. As soon as he looked at it he confirmed this was the case and therefore would look at it. The light in question is one of the new sealed unit lights so he had to find screwdrivers that would fit into the light shade. Once removed we emptied the water and cleaned the light cover whilst Tim checked the wiring of the light. Nothing ever seems to be a problem for Tim and he is very willing and found a set of new screws so that he could replace the light shade.

Having fitted a new kitchen, I needed an Electrician to wire up my new electric cooker hob to the mains consumer unit. I believe in supporting local businesses and using local tradesmen where possible, and contacted Tim as he had previously posted an advertising flyer through my letterbox. I telephoned and made an appointment and Tim promptly completed the work a few days later on the date we had agreed. Tim was polite, friendly and helpful and I am pleased with his work. He sent me my invoice by email as he said he would do the same day. I will use Tim again if I need any further electrical work doing, and I would recommend him.

Tim has done various electrical jobs for us over the past few years. He is always polite, punctual and does a great job at competitive prices. I would definitely recommend Tim for any electrical work which needs doing.

Right from initial enquiries, to quotation visit all the way through to completion of installation Tim and his team; Sam, in particular, conducted themselves very professionally and with impeccable quality in service and communication. Professional service from start to finish, friendly and helpful and useful to know how much a job will cost before the job started. I only needed a couple of light switches changing and a socket but didn't know an electrician. I will definitely be using Tim again as I am planning to change more light switches soon.

No power to the lights, came on 8 September to investigate. Thought the problem was fixed but sadly the lights went again a few weeks later. Came on 1 October, located what turned out to be a difficult fault to find, put new wiring in, cleaned up after himself. Always wore a face mask, very polite and helpful in explaining what was wrong. Informed me that there would be no charge for the work the second time. Highly recommended for his efficiency, excellent work and integrity.

Rang this company regarding electrical work required. An appointment was made for the following 2 weeks and we were advised of a time slot as to when to expect them to come. Arrived on time and assessed what we wanted to do. Advised on different approaches to deal with our requirements. Very pleased with the work done, everything was left clean and tidy. Very reasonable price. Would definitely use Tim Lawson Electrics again.
