Tim Lawson Electrical Contractors

This is the second time Tim has been to my home to do electrical work and I would willing to call him again. This time I called him because my extractor fan had stopped working. As soon as he walked to the door he realised that there was an isolator switch above the bathroom door and this had been switched off. Whilst on the premises I asked him to look at one of my lights which appeared to have water in it. As soon as he looked at it he confirmed this was the case and therefore would look at it. The light in question is one of the new sealed unit lights so he had to find screwdrivers that would fit into the light shade. Once removed we emptied the water and cleaned the light cover whilst Tim checked the wiring of the light. Nothing ever seems to be a problem for Tim and he is very willing and found a set of new screws so that he could replace the light shade.

Having fitted a new kitchen, I needed an Electrician to wire up my new electric cooker hob to the mains consumer unit. I believe in supporting local businesses and using local tradesmen where possible, and contacted Tim as he had previously posted an advertising flyer through my letterbox. I telephoned and made an appointment and Tim promptly completed the work a few days later on the date we had agreed. Tim was polite, friendly and helpful and I am pleased with his work. He sent me my invoice by email as he said he would do the same day. I will use Tim again if I need any further electrical work doing, and I would recommend him.

Professional service from start to finish, friendly and helpful and useful to know how much a job will cost before the job started. No power to the lights, came on 8 September to investigate. Thought the problem was fixed but sadly the lights went again a few weeks later. Came on 1 October, located what turned out to be a difficult fault to find, put new wiring in, cleaned up after himself. Always wore a face mask, very polite and helpful in explaining what was wrong. Informed me that there would be no charge for the work the second time. Highly recommended for his efficiency, excellent work and integrity.

Rang this company regarding electrical work required. An appointment was made for the following 2 weeks and we were advised of a time slot as to when to expect them to come. Arrived on time and assessed what we wanted to do. Advised on different approaches to deal with our requirements. Very pleased with the work done, everything was left clean and tidy. We have had Tim to do work for us before. We had an extension to the house and he did the electrical work. We were very satisfied with what he did so when we needed ceiling roses replaced he was our first choice. We are very pleased with what he has done and would recommend him to anyone. He is friendly, helpful and nothing seems too much for him.

My bungalow had a part rewire and consumer unit fitted Tim was very efficient and they kept me I formed at all stages of the work what was being done and when it would be completed. They kept the mess to a minimum and cleared up when finished. All in all a good experience.

Tim turned up bang on time, where he set about moving a double socket and an aerial socket and his idea was to keep the mess to a minimum. The work was carried out on time, was also of excellent quality and with very little mess which he also cleaned up. Very impressed and will certainly use him again.

He arrived at the time scheduled he was very pleasant to talk to he allowed me to watch from a distance he even told what he was doing he made sure that everything was working correctly even though he was working he still had laugh and joke but to the point I couldn't find a better company to fit this I highly recommend Tim Lawson Electrical Contractor's they come very highly recommended.

From start to finish Tim was brilliant. Communication was excellent. He explained things in a way that I could understand. I had 3 quotes before choosing to use Tim. One didn’t turned up and another electrician told me my house needed a complete rewire, which I knew was wrong. Tim came along and was very honest. He emailed me the quote which was very competitive. We booked him in for a Friday. On Thursday evening I got a message from Tim saying he would be with us at 9am. Tim turned up on time and worked bloody hard throughout the day. We urgently required an additional socket installing at quite short notice. Tim and his team where more than accomodating and managed to squeeze us in. Professional service and job from start to finish.

Tim has done several domestic electrical jobs for us, both large and small, in this old semi. This has included garden lighting, fitting extra sockets, new ceiling lights etc. His communication is very good, he turns up when he says he will, and does the job efficiently. There is no problem he hasn't been able to solve so far.

Very personable and knowledgeable. Tim is a good worker and is happy to answer any questions on all aspects of electrical work. The only gripe I had was the excessive cost of the materials. Tim explained that it was his ‘markup’, but I think that 200 - 300% is getting a little OTT! He subsequently offered a 20% discount but that hasn’t put much of a dent in the bill! However, I accepted the quote in order to complete the job asap but, next time, I will do my research a little more thoroughly - it spoilt an otherwise excellent job!

Mr Lawson came to give an estimate on the day and time as arranged for the fitting of outside light. Once agreed the price, the work was carried out efficiently and work area cleaned up before he left. Overall we were very satisfied with the job and would recommend Mr Lawson, and would not hesitate to call on him again.

Tim changed my fuse box for me and then encountered problems with the wiring. Despite it being an unexpected problem Tim took the time to sort it out logically and efficiently. Several weeks later I encountered another problem, which turned out to be unrelated and, despite a busy schedule he fitted me in and solved the problem once again. He is friendly, reasonably priced and reliable and I would recommend him to anyone. I will definitely use him again for some other work I have.

Tim Lawson recently completed the installation of a new consumer unit at my house along with additional earthing of my lighting loop. It was extremely professionally carried out with prior full explanation of all aspects of work to its conclusion. My wife and I are both happy with his professional approach to his work and will indeed be requiring his ministrations in the future. His work was both tidy, and completed on time to our satisfaction.
