We have on several occasions had Tim come to our property for various Elecrical work. Tim is friendly very knowledgeable and well organised, turning up on time for appointments. Always works to a very high standard, and would recommend him.

A good quote for the fitting of two outside security lights and a new garage light fitting. The work was carried out quickly and professionally at the time agreed. Completely satisfied and would recommend.

I had a big problem with no electrical supply to a newly installed Triton electric shower that had been fitted by a Triton engineer on 8/2/2024. After engineer had fitted replacement shower he discovered that electric supply was not getting to new shower and he advised me to contact an electrician. I rang Tim Lawson Electrician who advised that he would be able to visit on the 8/2/2024 after 13:00 hours (with a 2 hour timeframe). Tim and his partner Harvey sent a text message advising of arrival at scheduled time. After inspecting the consumer unit he confirmed that there was a problem and advised us to upgrade the MCB with an RCBO of a higher rating to both our electric showers. Also replaced the isolator switch that turns shower on with a new more modern switch. An excellent job done by Tim (he also commissioned the shower for us and tested it. Price was very reasonable for the amount of time and work done. Would not hesitate to recommend Tim Lawson for any electrical work you need doing. One extremely pleased customer. Tim and his team comminuted really well from enquiry to completion of job. Arrived on time, completed the jobs efficiently and cleanly. No concerns about work completed but really got the sense from Tim that if I had a problem he would recifty immediately. Would recommend to friends and family.

Asked Tim to call to give me a free quotation for new consumer unit and cooker point as well as a new extraction unit in the bathroom. The price seemed reasonable and Tim started on the day promised completing the work on time and for the price quoted. They treated our house with respect and constantly cleaned up as they went. I chose Tim because he's a local tradesman. He came within 2 days to assess the job and gave me advice on the most suitable replacement. 10 days later I received a quote which I found acceptable. I confirmed that i wanted him to carry on and rang Sam ( his RH man) to arrange the installation date on the 10th May 2023. I sent a 30% deposit. Tim, with his apprentice, fitted it. Everything went perfectly Tim was polite and his communication with via Sam was exemplary. I was updated regularly and reminded of the fitting window. On the day I was notified in real time that he was picking up the unit and once he was on his way give an exact time of his arrival in this case 19 minutes. I cannot express how impressed I was with the whole experience. I would recommend Tim to anyone who wants and electrician

Contacted Tim Lawson Electrical to arrange a landlords check for a rental property, they were very helpful and quoted a price for the work, they arrived on the date and did the inspection, then promptly contacted me to advise on a few small jobs that were required to keep up to current regulations. Again they quoted the price and arrived on the date, carried out the work. From start to finish they were very professional and kept me informed throughout. I would certainly use them again and recommend them to other people.

Having just carried out some major alterations to our kitchen for which I needed quite a lot of electrical alterations and additions I used Tim Lawson. I found him and the apprentice really easy to get on with and they completed all of the planned work plus the extras that we needed. First Class job and on budget.

Had three new ceiling light fittings requiring installation, including removal of old ones, one of which was a light/fan. Booked a time and a date for the work to be done. On the day, received a message informing me when Tim would arrive. And he arrived promptly, on time. First impressions, very polite and amicable, explained what I wanted he explained how he was going to do it and then he got on with the work. It's been a week now everything is working as it should. Overall happy with the work carried out happy with the manner in which Tim carried himself in my home cost don't know what other electricians charge but it seemed a fair price for the work and I'm happy to support a local business. Overall On personal experience I would be happy to call Tim for any electrical work I may need doing and have kept his number in my phone contacts list.

This is the second time Tim has been to my home to do electrical work and I would willing to call him again. This time I called him because my extractor fan had stopped working. As soon as he walked to the door he realised that there was an isolator switch above the bathroom door and this had been switched off. Whilst on the premises I asked him to look at one of my lights which appeared to have water in it. As soon as he looked at it he confirmed this was the case and therefore would look at it. The light in question is one of the new sealed unit lights so he had to find screwdrivers that would fit into the light shade. Once removed we emptied the water and cleaned the light cover whilst Tim checked the wiring of the light. Nothing ever seems to be a problem for Tim and he is very willing and found a set of new screws so that he could replace the light shade.

Having fitted a new kitchen, I needed an Electrician to wire up my new electric cooker hob to the mains consumer unit. I believe in supporting local businesses and using local tradesmen where possible, and contacted Tim as he had previously posted an advertising flyer through my letterbox. I telephoned and made an appointment and Tim promptly completed the work a few days later on the date we had agreed. Tim was polite, friendly and helpful and I am pleased with his work. He sent me my invoice by email as he said he would do the same day. I will use Tim again if I need any further electrical work doing, and I would recommend him.

No power to the lights, came on 8 September to investigate. Thought the problem was fixed but sadly the lights went again a few weeks later. Came on 1 October, located what turned out to be a difficult fault to find, put new wiring in, cleaned up after himself. Always wore a face mask, very polite and helpful in explaining what was wrong. Informed me that there would be no charge for the work the second time. Highly recommended for his efficiency, excellent work and integrity.

Rang this company regarding electrical work required. An appointment was made for the following 2 weeks and we were advised of a time slot as to when to expect them to come. Arrived on time and assessed what we wanted to do. Advised on different approaches to deal with our requirements. Very pleased with the work done, everything was left clean and tidy. We have had Tim to do work for us before. We had an extension to the house and he did the electrical work. We were very satisfied with what he did so when we needed ceiling roses replaced he was our first choice. We are very pleased with what he has done and would recommend him to anyone. My bungalow had a part rewire and consumer unit fitted Tim was very efficient and they kept me I formed at all stages of the work what was being done and when it would be completed. They kept the mess to a minimum and cleared up when finished. All in all a good experience.

Tim turned up bang on time, where he set about moving a double socket and an aerial socket and his idea was to keep the mess to a minimum. From start to finish Tim was brilliant. Communication was excellent. He explained things in a way that I could understand. I had 3 quotes before choosing to use Tim. One didn’t turned up and another electrician told me my house needed a complete rewire, which I knew was wrong. Tim came along and was very honest. He emailed me the quote which was very competitive. We booked him in for a Friday. On Thursday evening I got a message from Tim saying he would be with us at 9am. Tim turned up on time and worked bloody hard throughout the day. Tim has done several domestic electrical jobs for us, both large and small, in this old semi. This has included garden lighting, fitting extra sockets, new ceiling lights etc. His communication is very good, he turns up when he says he will, and does the job efficiently. There is no problem he hasn't been able to solve so far.

Very personable and knowledgeable. Tim is a good worker and is happy to answer any questions on all aspects of electrical work. The only gripe I had was the excessive cost of the materials. Tim explained that it was his ‘markup’, but I think that 200 - 300% is getting a little OTT! He subsequently offered a 20% discount but that hasn’t put much of a dent in the bill! However, I accepted the quote in order to complete the job asap but, next time, I will do my research a little more thoroughly - it spoilt an otherwise excellent job!

Tim changed my fuse box for me and then encountered problems with the wiring. Despite it being an unexpected problem Tim took the time to sort it out logically and efficiently. Several weeks later I encountered another problem, which turned out to be unrelated and, despite a busy schedule he fitted me in and solved the problem once again. He is friendly, reasonably priced and reliable and I would recommend him to anyone. I will definitely use him again for some other work I have.

Tim Lawson recently completed the installation of a new consumer unit at my house along with additional earthing of my lighting loop. It was extremely professionally carried out with prior full explanation of all aspects of work to its conclusion. My wife and I are both happy with his professional approach to his work and will indeed be requiring his ministrations in the future. Tim replaced centre lights, a light switch and replaced some bodged cabinet lights in our kitchen. All done very professionally with good communication throughout - he wasn’t sure if he would be able to sort out the kitchen cabinet lights due to access problem with floor boards but explained it clearly and what the cost would be to try even if it didn’t work out. Can’t ask for more than that ! Very happy with results and will definitely use again.

I contacted Tim based upon the reviews on this website. We arranged a date and time for Tim to carry out an electrical survey to ensure our recently purchased property was safe at a pre agreed price. Tim was courteous, polite and friendly. The survey was completed within a good time frame and Tim pointed out the improvements/flaws that may need attention.
