Timber care conducted a survey and treatment of woodworm at my property. The whole experience dealing with them, from initial contact, the surveyors visit, scheduling of the work, the work done by Mark on site and all aspects of follow up have been excellent. Communication at all points was clear and timely, friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

Jason arrived on time for day one to remove plaster and render on an internal wall then reapply fresh. He also installed an injectable damp proof course into the wall. He took care to cover gaps so dust didn't spread into other rooms. He was courteous and polite, explained what he was doing and respectful. The work was done well and I'm very happy with the outcome.

I had a damp survey on Tuesday 16th September 2025 from timberwise Exmouth and was visited by Peter . He was very thorough and gave me good advice. He explained that I have a problem with condensation rather than damp and told me what I could do about it. He also advised about some other issues as I was concerned about possible water ingress. He tested for damp and condensation levels. Two other companies had advised that I had damp and needed work costing several thousand pounds. Another company also identifying condensation had charged over £100 for survey and the man visiting appeared rushed although appointment had been made later due to his time schedule. I would definitely recommend Peter and Timberwise. As a woman it is good to know it is a trustworthy company. I was sorry not to be able to give Timberwise some work but they are specialists in damp and timber and do not deal with the issues I need to have addressed. If I had any concerns in the future I would contact them and will recommend them to friends and family.

I called Timberwise for a quote for wood worm treatment, after I noticed that some timber in my my flat had small holes in it. Gary Carty from Timberwise did a thorough inspection of the timber and said that the holes were historic, that I had nothing to worry about and that no treatment was needed. The following week Timberwise sent me an official report about the inspection. Gary absolutely put my mind at ease and I really appreciated the honesty and thoroughness of Timberwise and am extremely happy to recommend them.

First can we say how impressed we were with Aaron Edge, he was very professional, did a fantastic job of the plastering. Carpet and furniture carefully covered and he spent time cleaning up not only in the house but on the driveway.....Very, very impressed.

Timberwise carried out extensive damp proofing work to my 1930s semi. Every aspect of my dealings with the company impressed me - from the back office to the survey, and to the work on site. In particular, their technician, Brian, had to work in awkward conditions on what was a very hot and uncomfortable day, and still managed to do a very good and thorough job.

Matt and Matty. We needed a complete new floor in our bedroom and half a new floor in the kitchen due to damp and lack of airflow under the bungalow. To us, the work seemed immense, but in 3 days, the work was finished. New joists, flooring, and air bricks! The lads were on time, tidy, and very professional. After months of worrying about water under my newly bought property I decided to have a survey done by Timberwise to see how bad the situation was. The surveyor Carla Gonen was excellent. Carla was thorough, and after inspecting the property was able to confirm I did not need any work to be done, and everything was at it should be. Carla was professional and listened to my many concerns, and with her knowledge was able to explain her findings with photos and a report. My only regret was if I had used Timberwise when purchasing the property I would have saved myself a lot of time and worry. I recommend Timberwise, it is a trustworthy company and I'm so glad I found it.

Tim Jenner came, a very honest tradesman. Although he couldn't resolve the problem he helped me work out what to do. This is a very professional customer focused company.

Our surveyor arrived on time, and took time to thoroughly inspect the area where we had concerns. The surveyor was friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable of his subject area. He gave us confidence that Timberwise were a reputable company and we would definitely use them again and recommend them to others

I used Timberwise owing to their Which accreditation and good reviews. I had some woodworm in the garage and following a detailed and helpful survey report, I accepted their quotation. Their woodworm treatment was carried out rigorously and supported by an extensive underwritten guarantee. Although not the cheapest quote, I felt that Timberwise provided a better quality quote and service, in contrast to other contractor's, one of whom even charged a fee for a less convincing report.

Had repairs to timber frame affected by damp. Work was quite extensive. Carried out on time by very efficient and pleasant builder from Timberwise. The house was left in good condition, tidy, cleaned and put back to normal on completion. Overall extremely pleased with the work and r would happily use the company again.

Timberwise carried out a repair to a small patch of wall dampness at our main entrance door . The work was carried out very professionally by Donald, who ensured all works were completed satisfactorily and within the estimated timescale . Donald proved to be a courteous and communicative engineer and I would not hesitate to recommend him and the Timberwise organisation.

We had a concern about damp in a basement flat hallway cupboard. A visit was arranged for a free survey to see if remedial work would be needed. Dan arrived a little early which was great and advised that there was no evidence of water penetration and that the issue was one of condensation caused by cold walls and lack of ventilation. It was really helpful to have our minds set at rest and we can deal with the situation without the fear that there may be a serious damp problem. The service was prompt and professional. Steven Buick and team at Timberwise Scotland are fantastic! I contacted Timberwise and within 5days my property and wet rot problem was survey and fixed. Structural floor joists were affected by wet rot, which required to be sistered with new bespoke sized joists and treated. The work was carried out safely, tidily, and to a very high professional standard by Alan and Stuart. Shortly after I received my guarantee of 20years for the work carried out. We have had some rising damp in the basement of our Victorian house. Timberwise was referred to us by an experienced Chartered Surveyor that we know, and we were really happy we followed his recommendation. The team was very professional, friendly, polite and tidy from the survey through to installation of DPC. Finishing with the plastering was excellent and was truly an art of work! Mr Chris Walker from Timberwise visited us to advise on damp in our property. After a good look around he advised us it was condensation and nothing else. He advised us on how to remedy the situation, there was no hard sell, which we thought there might be as we fully expected the worse and Mr Walker was helpful, polite and honest.

We had a very good experience with Timberwise. The surveyor Ian was able to fit us in for a survey quickly and was very responsive to emails and organising a date for our work. We had Dave complete the work in our property, he was friendly, efficient and polite. Dave was respectful of us working from home and around our two cats. Dave protected our floors and carpets well and finished the work to a high quality. When we received our invoice, the costing were true to the original quote. Timberwise from start to finish were excellent. This is a professional company with customer service at its heart. We had an issue with damp in our house. Timberwise sent out one of their own surveyors to review the situation. The surveyor explained what the issue was, and a full survey report was received within a week. There was no obligation to proceed with the remedial work and no 'hard sell'. After reading previous reviews we already had confidence in Timeberwise and took the decision to proceed with the work. The work was carried out on the date it was arranged and was to high standard. All mess was cleaned up. It can be a minefield when trying to arrange works such as damp issues, but Timberwise took all the stress away. I would highly recommend Timberwise.

Contacted Timberwise to advise on a potential dry rot problem in our attic. We were worried about this as one other builder (NOT Timberwise) who came to look at the problem quoted us for nothing less than the complete replacement of rafters and roof at £50k+, citing unsolvable dry rot and woodworm problems. After sending some pictures, Jenna at Timberwise replied quickly that we didn’t have a dry rot problem at all, and that it was just a matter of improving ventilation in the area. She sent us great and convincing documentation from the Timberwise site. All free of charge! This put our minds at ease, and obviously saved us loads of money, time and hassle. Highly recommended, actual experts at what they do (unlike some others out there!)

Ashley George, the Timberwise rep arrived on time & was very professional during his survey. He was able to confirm the cause of the problem & discussed various measures we could take to remove the condensation without undergoing expensive & disruptive works. He was able to advise on what equipment we needed & how to manage issues such as humidity & air ventilation. All in all, we were very impressed with the service provided.
