Timberwise were great to deal with from start to finish. We had confidence in the advice and they were friendly and professional. The work was conducted to a high standard and left very tidy. The work was also completed for a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Contacted Timberwise to advise on a potential dry rot problem in our attic. We were worried about this as one other builder (NOT Timberwise) who came to look at the problem quoted us for nothing less than the complete replacement of rafters and roof at £50k+, citing unsolvable dry rot and woodworm problems. After sending some pictures, Jenna at Timberwise replied quickly that we didn’t have a dry rot problem at all, and that it was just a matter of improving ventilation in the area. She sent us great and convincing documentation from the Timberwise site. All free of charge! This put our minds at ease, and obviously saved us loads of money, time and hassle. Highly recommended, actual experts at what they do (unlike some others out there!)

I had a damp survey on Tuesday 16th September 2025 from timberwise Exmouth and was visited by Peter . He was very thorough and gave me good advice. He explained that I have a problem with condensation rather than damp and told me what I could do about it. He also advised about some other issues as I was concerned about possible water ingress. He tested for damp and condensation levels. Two other companies had advised that I had damp and needed work costing several thousand pounds. Another company also identifying condensation had charged over £100 for survey and the man visiting appeared rushed although appointment had been made later due to his time schedule. I would definitely recommend Peter and Timberwise. As a woman it is good to know it is a trustworthy company. I was sorry not to be able to give Timberwise some work but they are specialists in damp and timber and do not deal with the issues I need to have addressed. If I had any concerns in the future I would contact them and will recommend them to friends and family.

I called Timberwise for a quote for wood worm treatment, after I noticed that some timber in my my flat had small holes in it. Gary Carty from Timberwise did a thorough inspection of the timber and said that the holes were historic, that I had nothing to worry about and that no treatment was needed. The following week Timberwise sent me an official report about the inspection. Gary absolutely put my mind at ease and I really appreciated the honesty and thoroughness of Timberwise and am extremely happy to recommend them.

Keith from Timberwise reviewed, advised and reported on the work required to treat woodworm in my Victorian terrace property. On the day of the treatment Mark the Technician arrived promptly and worked efficiently through the property, you would hardly know he was there. Both were helpful and willing in answering any questions I had.

Carrying out remedial damp proofing. Timberwise get 10 out of 10. Work completed on time by an excellent technician. He was friendly, tidied up at the end of the job and all in all did a first rate job. Beautiful finish on the plastering.

Anouska really put our minds at rest and had a friendly manner when contacted. Booking the work was at our convenience, and the tradesman's name was given to us in advance so we knew who was to attend. On the allotted day Timberwise turned up well within the suggested timeframe, and he introduced himself as Daniel, and what a pleasant young man, couldn’t fault his attention to detail and took the time to explain to us the process and time to complete the work. We would recommend this company.

I had my survey today, by Craig, and was really impressed by his knowledge, professionalism, friendliness and level of detail covered. I had a timber survey from the Devon branch. The surveyor, Ashley, was meticulous and careful, putting carpets and floor coverings back with no disturbance. He gave helpful and well considered advice and was available to speak further if required. Highly recommended.

I used Timberwise owing to their Which accreditation and good reviews. I had some woodworm in the garage and following a detailed and helpful survey report, I accepted their quotation. Their woodworm treatment was carried out rigorously and supported by an extensive underwritten guarantee. Although not the cheapest quote, I felt that Timberwise provided a better quality quote and service, in contrast to other contractor's, one of whom even charged a fee for a less convincing report.

Tim Jenner came, a very honest tradesman. Although he couldn't resolve the problem he helped me work out what to do. This is a very professional customer focused company.

Matt and Matty. We needed a complete new floor in our bedroom and half a new floor in the kitchen due to damp and lack of airflow under the bungalow. To us, the work seemed immense, but in 3 days, the work was finished. New joists, flooring, and air bricks! The lads were on time, tidy, and very professional. They definitely have our sincere thanks for all their hard work. I will also thank surveyor Steve, who also made the whole experience go a lot easier for us. Thank you all, we really appreciate it.

First can we say how impressed we were with Aaron Edge, he was very professional, did a fantastic job of the plastering. Carpet and furniture carefully covered and he spent time cleaning up not only in the house but on the driveway.....Very, very impressed.

Timber care conducted a survey and treatment of woodworm at my property. The whole experience dealing with them, from initial contact, the surveyors visit, scheduling of the work, the work done by Mark on site and all aspects of follow up have been excellent. We needed a basement kitchen and dining area damp-proofed. Of all the companies we contacted, Timberwise stood out - Keith and Connie were highly responsive to a large number of follow-up questions, detailed in their plans, and pragmatic in their proposals (their costs were broadly in line with the other providers). Onsite, Chris was great - helped us prep the space, turned up every day on time and cleaned up at the end of the day, went the extra mile to finish by the date we'd agreed when our walls turned out to be at the more challenging end of the spectrum, and was cheerful throughout. They also organised a specialist joiner to deal with our stairs and he not only did a great job with them, but also happily replaced some floorboards that turned out to be rotten. All in all, a very positive experience and we will be getting them back to do more work.

Every contact with the company was clear and customer focussed. Importantly the staff did exactly what they promised.

Timberwise recently completed damp proof treatment to a section of our hall wall. I was apprehensive about the potential mess and damage to our newly polished wood floor. I needn’t have worried as Steve immediately reassured me. The floor had a robust and full covering preventing any damage and the work was carried out in the outlined timescale. The area was kept tidy and left clean at the end of each day. Steve was very respectful of our home. He took great care in removing the skirting board in one piece and the completed job is very neat. Overall I’m delighted with the work.

The damp issue we had originally quoted for was far worse than initially anticipated, following a full site investigation. This seemed like the end of the world but Timberwise took the time to evaluate and adapt the scope of work to cover what was required to solve the issue (touch wood). We appreciated their attention to detail, communication and team work.
