Timberwise is a family run property care company that have been caring for properties since 1968. We have over that time built a reputation for providing a quality and professional service. As specialists in damp proofing, and timber treatments we work with residential and commercial customers across the UK as well as providing pre-purchase damp and timber surveys for home buyers.

Timberwise from start to finish were excellent. This is a professional company with customer service at its heart. We had an issue with damp in our house. Timberwise sent out one of their own surveyors to review the situation. The surveyor explained what the issue was, and a full survey report was received within a week. There was no obligation to proceed with the remedial work and no 'hard sell'. After reading previous reviews we already had confidence in Timeberwise and took the decision to proceed with the work. The work was carried out on the date it was arranged and was to high standard. All mess was cleaned up. It can be a minefield when trying to arrange works such as damp issues, but Timberwise took all the stress away. I would highly recommend Timberwise.

We had a very good experience with Timberwise. The surveyor Ian was able to fit us in for a survey quickly and was very responsive to emails and organising a date for our work. We had Dave complete the work in our property, he was friendly, efficient and polite. Dave was respectful of us working from home and around our two cats. Dave protected our floors and carpets well and finished the work to a high quality. When we received our invoice, the costing were true to the original quote. I would recommend Timberwise to a friend

I had previously used another damp company, who were OK, but the finish on the plastering etc. was not great. Mark from Timberwise did a really great job. He was punctual and polite when coming to the house, and left the work area very clean and tidy. Most importantly the finish of the work was at a really high standard. I would definitely use them again if I needed any damp work done.

Jason, our Timberwise technician, applied woodworm treatment to the roofs of our Grade 2 listed thatched Cottage, giving great respect to the structure of the building and working with considerable care and attention. Had repairs to timber frame affected by damp. Work was quite extensive. Carried out on time by very efficient and pleasant builder from Timberwise. Telephone assistance was helpful in explaining what I needed d and how things worked. Person who visited to see the work required was obviously very knowledgeable and interested in older buildings which was terrific as ours is Grade 2 listed. The man who delivered the service was polite, very helpful and thoughtful in the way he worked. Excellent service throughout.

Following my survey I used Timberwise for some recommended works. From telephoning, during covid through to inspection by Dean and works carried out by Chris, everything ran perfectly smooth. All persons I spoke to went over and above. Dean came out for further inspection, me thinking I had additional concerns. Nothing was too much trouble. Chris carried out the works with the least possible upheaval and cleared/cleaned where possible at the end. Chris even helped me locate a leak from my boiler - thank you. Thank you for a brilliant service would definitely recommend.

Communication with Timberwise was excellent throughout - from arranging a survey through to completing the anti-woodworm spraying. The bat problem was fully understood and great care was taken to provide all information to our bat warden about the chemical formulation to be used. The Timberwise team of 2 arrived in good time, had a briefing from our bat warden and completed the job very efficiently It was a pleasure to deal with Timberwise throughout.

Woodworm survey
This is the first time I have used Timberwise in a domestic capacity having used them previously for commercial works. I contacted timberwise by telephone and left a message and also filled in the website enquiry. I was pleased to receive a response the next working day to my email enquiry and a return call the following day to my meassage! Much more proactive than their competitors that I am still awaiting a call back from. Jenna who handled my enquiry was super efficient in arranging the survey with the current owners of the property and keeping me informed. Survey was booked for a date within 3 weeks of my initial enquiry. If the quality of the survey and post survey experience is as good as what I have received to date I will be most impressed by Timberwise.

Mr Chris Walker from Timberwise visited us to advise on damp in our property. After a good look around he advised us it was condensation and nothing else. He advised us on how to remedy the situation, there was no hard sell, which we thought there might be as we fully expected the worse and Mr Walker was helpful, polite and honest.

Timberwise carried out extensive damp proofing work to my 1930s semi. Every aspect of my dealings with the company impressed me - from the back office to the survey, and to the work on site. In particular, their technician, Brian, had to work in awkward conditions on what was a very hot and uncomfortable day, and still managed to do a very good and thorough job.

Called Timerwise in to survey a small damp problem thought to be rising damp and thought to require Silicone Injection treatment. Exremely professional surveyor identified the problem as not being rising damp but condensation and provided a DIY anti-fungal treatment form £52. This saved us spending about £300 on Injection. They lost that bit of trade as a result of being thorough and truthful, which is why I feel they deserve recommendation. Their price if they'd done Injection treatment was also less than another quote we'd had.

Having phone a few companies who were booking weeks in advance, Timberwise were able to squeeze me as they were a local company. The survey was carried out quickly, the surveyor Nic Glover rang me on the day as he knew i needed information quickly to help the purchase proceed quickly. The work was later booked in and carried out by a great and friendly guy called Steven Wade, take great care in his work, updated me throughout the day and did a really thorough job.

Timberwise have completed rot treatment in my flat and in my neighbour's adjoining flat. They were required to strip out and treat the rot, then re-plaster walls and replace boards. They left both flats in perfect condition ready for painting. All done on time and according to their quote. They were faced with a difficult situation as they had to work round a stressed customer in residence. They handled this with a level of thoughtfulness and diplomacy for which I am grateful.
