Tincknells serves customers across Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset, Avon and south Gloucestershire. It’s already a well-known name in the South West, with a great reputation for integrity and customer service. Company director Rob Ormond and heating services manager Richard Beck both emphasise that Tincknells is a ‘modest’ company, concerned more with providing a good service than making a fuss about it. But its recent win could change all that.

Tincknell Heating Services is one wing of the long-established fuel business, Tincknell Fuels. ‘It’s a win for the industry,’ said Rob Ormond. ‘The fuel industry, which we’re part of, doesn’t always get the best press, but this is a really positive step.’
Winning the Which? Trusted trader of the year award and being elevated above the thousands of other businesses on the Which? Trusted Traders scheme means a lot to the company. But it’s adamant that this won’t change the way it works.

Due to the expiry of our old heating system we made enquiries of Tincknells to purchase a new central heating system, they were very prompt to quote and even quicker to fit once we gave the go-ahead. Everything converted and up and running in three days. A tidy job well done.

This firm has been a great help over many years but particularly during the last 2.5 years when my husband has been disabled and housebound. Both he and I are in our very late eighties and their responses have always been prompt and helpful. To use an old phase they are the best of British!

Tincknell Heating is simply the best

We discovered a small leak in our combi boiler heating system. The leak was under new flooring, invisible, causing no apparent damage. Tincknells came to check it on the day I called and suggested an ingenious re-piping avoiding the need to pull up the floor. Senior engineer Lee came by a day later to confirm the prognosis and discussed various details and options. Lee was very invested in how the finished work would look in the house, not to mention the improvement to our heating system. We had a detailed estimate a day or two later. Work was scheduled at a convenient time and started exactly on schedule. Team of three (Lee again with Ollie and Liam) did the work in less time than forecast. Their work was absolutely meticulous, the new system is great. The overall cost was very reasonable. It is a pleasure to have Tincknell Heating work on our house. I cannot recommend them more highly.

Although as heating engineers they were unable to deal with my particular problem, Nick, who answered the phone, went out of his way to call me back twice and provide me with suitable choice contacts who would be able to assist me. I will certainly be in contact with them again to service my central heating, when this becomes due.

We arrived at our holiday home in Upottery, Devon on 21st December to find that the heating wasn’t working properly. We reported it to our caretakers and Bob from Tincknell Fuels came out the next day. He soon found out what the problem was but the parts had to be ordered and hopefully fitted before Christmas. He also showed us a way we could get the heating going manually to get us through. He came back on Christmas Eve and fitted the part. I found Tincknell Fuels to be very helpful and professional and a special mention for Bob - friendly, courteous and got us warm for Christmas. I would recommend this company to anyone.
