Tincknells serves customers across Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset, Avon and south Gloucestershire. It’s already a well-known name in the South West, with a great reputation for integrity and customer service. Company director Rob Ormond and heating services manager Richard Beck both emphasise that Tincknells is a ‘modest’ company, concerned more with providing a good service than making a fuss about it. But its recent win could change all that.

Tincknell Heating Services is one wing of the long-established fuel business, Tincknell Fuels. ‘It’s a win for the industry,’ said Rob Ormond. ‘The fuel industry, which we’re part of, doesn’t always get the best press, but this is a really positive step.’
Winning the Which? Trusted trader of the year award and being elevated above the thousands of other businesses on the Which? Trusted Traders scheme means a lot to the company. But it’s adamant that this won’t change the way it works.

Although as heating engineers they were unable to deal with my particular problem, Nick, who answered the phone, went out of his way to call me back twice and provide me with suitable choice contacts who would be able to assist me. I will certainly be in contact with them again to service my central heating, when this becomes due.

We arrived at our holiday home in Upottery, Devon on 21st December to find that the heating wasn’t working properly. We reported it to our caretakers and Bob from Tincknell Fuels came out the next day. He soon found out what the problem was but the parts had to be ordered and hopefully fitted before Christmas. He also showed us a way we could get the heating going manually to get us through. He came back on Christmas Eve and fitted the part. I found Tincknell Fuels to be very helpful and professional and a special mention for Bob - friendly, courteous and got us warm for Christmas. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Tincknells have just installed a new boiler in our church. The experience has been superb from Lee's initial visit to do the quote to Liam and Ollie installing it. Quite how they managed it I do not know. Our boiler broke down Monday evening and a brand new boiler was up and running by Saturday lunchtime. Fantastic, and Christmas will go ahead.

From the initial survey through to final installation we found Ticknells service to be excellent. Ollie, Liam, Liam and Steve replaced our floor standing old boiler with a Combi boiler. They were friendly, efficient and very tidy. The work was completed with a minimum of disruption, to a high standard and on time. We would not hesitate to recommend Ticknells to anyone needing a replacement boiler.

I have dealt with Tincknell for 43 years since moving from London. From the start, they gave me good service and value, were very polite and I would never think about going elsewhere to another company. I am not surprised they are won a which award.
