Tincknells serves customers across Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset, Avon and south Gloucestershire. It’s already a well-known name in the South West, with a great reputation for integrity and customer service. Company director Rob Ormond and heating services manager Richard Beck both emphasise that Tincknells is a ‘modest’ company, concerned more with providing a good service than making a fuss about it. But its recent win could change all that.

Tincknell Heating Services is one wing of the long-established fuel business, Tincknell Fuels. ‘It’s a win for the industry,’ said Rob Ormond. ‘The fuel industry, which we’re part of, doesn’t always get the best press, but this is a really positive step.’
Winning the Which? Trusted trader of the year award and being elevated above the thousands of other businesses on the Which? Trusted Traders scheme means a lot to the company. But it’s adamant that this won’t change the way it works.

Work done to the agreed schedule. Explanation of work being done was given at different stages in simple language. Both engineers have pleasant and friendly. We have been customers of this trader for several years with full satisfaction.

The engineer came almost straight away when our heating would not come on. The receptionist I spoke to was very helpful and understanding and we were kept fully informed of timings etc. The job was completed expertly and the problem discussed fully.

The company responded promptly to our need for a new boiler. The team sent in were polite and were well briefed. They completed the work on schedule, tested the system and explained how to operate the controls. Subsequently, a failure of a component was rectified promptly. I would highly recommend Tincknells. They installed a new boiler in a difficult position and against the demands of an ancient house. This was done with great care and professionalism. 'Blips' after were dealt with very speedily.

Boiler repair. I was content with cost. Service was ultra prompt for which effort I was grateful. I am an old person needing heat in this home. Tincknell & Co responded with a same day visit and fix. Quite exceptional. The engineer was also first class.

Due to the expiry of our old heating system we made enquiries of Tincknells to purchase a new central heating system, they were very prompt to quote and even quicker to fit once we gave the go-ahead. Everything converted and up and running in three days. A tidy job well done.

I had run out of oil. I phoned at 8:30 & the oil was delivered, 14 miles by 10:00am. I have been dealing with Tincknells for 50 years (I am 93) and they have never let me down - acted promptly & efficiently. They are all very polite & helpful at all times. (I may say that this isn't the first time I've run out of oil). Highly recommended.

Tank installation called out promptly and efficiently, - boiler failed 2 hours later - Tincknell engineers arrived within 1/2 hour of my call - problem not connected to new oil tank and quickly resolved. (The same day).
