About

Tincknells serves customers across Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset, Avon and south Gloucestershire. It’s already a well-known name in the South West, with a great reputation for integrity and customer service. Company director Rob Ormond and heating services manager Richard Beck both emphasise that Tincknells is a ‘modest’ company, concerned more with providing a good service than making a fuss about it. But its recent win could change all that.

Tincknell Heating Services is one wing of the long-established fuel business, Tincknell Fuels. ‘It’s a win for the industry,’ said Rob Ormond. ‘The fuel industry, which we’re part of, doesn’t always get the best press, but this is a really positive step.’
Winning the Which? Trusted trader of the year award and being elevated above the thousands of other businesses on the Which? Trusted Traders scheme means a lot to the company. But it’s adamant that this won’t change the way it works.

19-21 September 2018 - Replacement boiler and upgrading of controls in a large Grade 2 listed house was well planned and efficiently executed. The job was completed at quoted price on schedule. We chose Tincknell because of their reputation, including their 'Trusted Trader' status. Engineers - Lee, Ollie, Liam, Harry and Liam - are recommended

The installation of a new oil boiler was achieved hassle free and with much less upheaval than expected. The engineers were very pleasant, polite and professional. The information given was adequate and to date there have been no problems.

New tank installed and old removed, turned up on time, professional, neat and tidy no fuss, won’t consider using anyone else for all heating (including the Aga) and oil needs.

Refitting a new oil burner central heating boiler in outside position. Work was carried out as originally agreed. The team completing the work, were of high standard. The leader of the team, Ollie Smart, was an exceptional worker of the highest standard of all items, including exceptional manners.

I have used this company for 32 years for oil supply and found them reliable and fair. Eighteen months ago they supplied/installed a new domestic boiler and yesterday similarly a new oil tank. Whilst fairly expensive, all work was carried out punctually, professionally by cheerful and polite workmen who knew their stuff!
