Tincknell Heating

When our trusty old boiler broke the day after getting back from out holiday I rang Tincknells, who were just fabulous from the moment I spoke to the lovely lady on the phone. Nick phoned and a date for a new boiler was arranged. On installation day, Liam and Matt arrived on time and off they went. The day was unstressful, and fun. They worked really hard, left no mess and Liam explained how everything worked. Matt is just finishing his 4 year training and was watched by two really nice men from a local college. I'm going to take out the system care plan and I can't praise Liam and Matt enough. Before they went I was given a beautiful bouquet of flowers. A fabulous experience. I would recommend this company.

Annual Service carried out at the time specified. Cheerful positive engineer. No idea of the quality of work as I am not an engineer but I am confident any after care problems would be dealt with from previous experience. My only quibble would be that the invitation to have a service and the appointment were made by email but without any reference to the cost. So if I wished to go ahead I had to ask - hence the 4 Stars. I can't really rate the quality or value of this visit until I see how the boiler performs during the year but last year there was no problem so I've given 5 stars.

The contract was to remove the existing Heating Boiler and replace with a new Worcester Bosch Greenstar Danesmoor Utility Oil fired Boiler over a 3 day period 19 - 21 August. The team of 2 Technicians and one Apprentice arrived on time each day and worked to their published schedule with the team leader briefing us clearly at each stage of the work. All three were well presented, polite, courteous, cooperative and considerate and dealt with all our queries and observations including some additional tasks not originally planned for. All tasks were carried out professionally and they were very tidy workers clearing up as they went along. Once installed the new boiler was tested rigorously, the full heating system was flushed and cleaned twice before draining and refilling with inhibitor and final test. Several faults with radiators were rectified, a faulty new switch unit was replaced and a new floor air grille was fitted. The Team briefed my wife & I on all the controls, new equipment and actions to take in case of failures or emergencies and the manufacturer's guarantee and Tincknell Heating support. We were provided with a full set of manufacturer's operating manuals for each piece of new equipment. At time of completion and sign off, the Team presented my wife with a flower arrangement on behalf of the company. It was a job very well done!

As always Gerald arrived promptly, was pleasant and chatty, but got on with the job of servicing our Rayburn straight away. We only use the hot water side of the Rayburn, we do not use the cooker, so Gerald negotiated with the office to get a discount on our bill due to the reduced work required. All was completed in a fair and professional manner. I highly recommend Tincknell Heating for the prompt reliability and fairness of pricing.

This was the first time I had used Tinknells to service my oil fired boiler. Steve, the service engineer arrived promptly at the arranged time, and was competent and methodical in his work. The basic service was pre paid, but 3 additional items were identified as needing to be replaced. All of this was clearly explained, and the extra costs were detailed. When the work was completed the work area was left clean and tidy, and all materials were removed. The service sheet detailed the work done and showed the additional costs. A final invoice for the additional costs was received promptly.

Tincknell have been carrying out our annual boiler service for more than 20 years. During that time they have also replaced the boiler. All the engineers we have met during this time have been very professional and friendly. The young man that carried out the recent service was friendly, a good communicator and a credit to the company.

Moving into a property with a limited knowledge or experience of 'modern' heating controls I required a run down of 'what does what when'. Thanks to Tincknell, now I know!

Tincknells have installed and serviced my boilers for over 20 years. They have always given me great service. The engineers are always on time, thorough and tidy. A reliable local company who always give efficient and reasonably priced service.

I have found the engineers that come are very pleasant and efficient at the work they do. I have used Tincknells for a number of years and found the workmanship faultless.

The engineer arrived at the time booked, was friendly, and promptly replaced the gauge which has subsequently functioned accurately.

I can't praise Tincknell Heating enough. Although they are just my heating oil suppliers I needed their advice re my double skin tank as over the years rain water had built up between the two skins, the tank bund. This is a known fault with the lid on this particular tank, which I hasten to add, they did not install. The bund was emptied today of 400 litres of water. The two on site engineers then took the time to cover the lid with with some pond liner I had and security with a bungee cord.

David Wilcox has serviced my boiler foir a number of years now and it is always a pleasure to welcome him on site. He is friendly, couteous, knowledgeable and always ready to answer questions. As far as I can judge (I am not an engineer!), his work is thorough and careful, and the site is left clean and tidy. He fully explains what he does. I have absolutely no complaints with his work and the boiler always works well and efficiently after his service. Well done, David. You are a credit to the company!

Impressed with Tincknell Heating After initial phone call, the home visit to access requirements, quotation &date for installation although not the cheapest was all very quick & efficient. The team Ollie & Liam arrived on the date & time specified, both very polite & friendly. Ollie explained how they would carry out the work & kept us informed of progress. The work was carried out in an efficient & professional manner with minimal disruption. The work was completed on time, everything was left clean, tidy & the operation of the system explained. Pleased with the finished installation.

We called Tincknells after discovering an oil leak. Their response was quick and covered by our service agreement. Engineer Steve Ingman identified a faulty hydraulic ram in the boiler which he replaced. He has usually carried out our annual boiler service (also covered by our service plan) in recent years and is always professional, competent, friendly and thorough, and keeps the work area clean and tidy.

Tincknell installed our current heating system a number of years ago. They have serviced and maintained the system annually ever since, keeping it running perfectly. The Tincknell engineers have always been friendly and efficient, carrying out the work promptly and to a good standard.

Tinknells’s boiler serviceman arrived on time, was polite, efficient and completed the service quickly. He tidied up and cleaned around the boiler afterwards. He was cheerful friendly and very polite. Could not expect more, am very pleased with the service provided.

Our lpg central heating boiler broke down. We contacted Tincknells, who sent out an engineer the next day. When he found that it was beyond repair he explained the problem clearly and at our request arranged for a quotation for a replacement to sent within 24 hours. We accepted it at once, and arrangements for the work to be done were put in hand immediately, and adjusted to accommodate our need to be away from home for one of the days proposed. The works went exactly as planned and the installation team were friendly, polite, and very efficient.

Our boiler broke down just after Christmas. I called Tinknells Heating and an engineer arrived the same day. To repair it would have cost in excess of £500, so we elected to replace it as we guessed it was ancient. Ollie then came out to look at our sad, useless boiler and we had an estimate the following day. Unfortunately the plumbers merchants were all closed until 2 January, which meant cold showers for a week. I admit to improper language during that period. But first thing on 3 January, Ollie and Liam were on the doorstep, tools in hand! By 4pm that day, Beatrice Boiler was up and running. Hot showers were back. Both Ollie and Liam worked really hard all day, leaving everywhere clean and tidy. Thanks to them and the team back at base, Nick and Pat, who kept us updated throughout. We can’t recommend Tinknells highly enough.

Our boiler broke down on December 12th and we contacted Tincknells for a visit on the 13th. The boiler was not able to be repaired and the same day we received a visit to quote for a new boiler. By late afternoon on the 13th, we had a detailed quote for a new boiler which we accepted. The boiler has been fitted on December 21st/22nd. The engineers Liam and Liam were punctual, thoroughly professional and did a fantastic job installing the new boiler. The quality of their workmanship has been excellent and they left everything in a very clean and tidy condition. We have used Tincknells to service our boiler for the last 15 years and their service, as always, has been exemplary.

I have used Tincknells Heating for a number of years. They have proved to be reliable with a well trained workforce that do jobs to time and well. This replacement proved the same. A housecall to provide an estimate was undetaken , checks on heating requirements and an estimate of cost were all done very efficiently. On installation day, the team arrived exactly on time. Two very pleasant engineers who unerdtook the work well and left everything clean and tidy. Simply and excellent job!

I am so grateful to Nick for all his help when my oil tank had a leak. I haven't used Tincknells in the past but couldn't get any help from my usual oil supplier. Although they were already very busy, Nick arranged for Mike to visit the same day & in fact, I only had to wait for a few hours before his arrival. Mike was also really helpful, sealed the leak & promised a quote to be sent to me quickly, which it was. On the arranged day, Mike & Gary arrived promptly & did a great job, emptying out my old tank, completing the ground work, removing the old tank & installing the new one. Thank you so much guys for making a pretty stressful time much easier to deal with. I will happily recommend you to others & will be using you as my oil supplier in the future.

Our leaking tank was dealt with by Tincknells and replaced within a week. Gary came and sealed the leak with soap! The team came back as scheduled and did the groundwork and then fitted the new tank and emptied the old one a couple of days later. A crane was needed to get the new tank into the garden. All was done with minimal damage to the garden with great good humour and expertise. What was scheduled as a days work only took half that time. Mike and Gary and the rest of the team were friendly and helpful and we were assured that if there were any after problems they would be on the case. I feel reassured that the work has been done by very competent professionals and would thoroughly recommend them.

Today Gary and Matty from Tincknell Fuels Wells replaced our oil tank with a new one. They prepared the groundwork; emptied the old tank and installed a new one. Refilled new one. They knew we had to get back to work so arrived early, worked twice as hard to finish early too. The lads were a credit to Tincknells; polite, tidy and engaging. The standard of work was exemplary and the icing on the cake was the beautiful bouquet given by Tincknell as a “thank you” for the installation. We are thrilled and will be recommending to all and sundry!!

It was good to use a local company especially who employ good service engineers. Mike who attended my boiler service I have known for years and is a great engineer. You get a good annual service which was the case here. I have a platinum service contract for peace of mind.

We have an Aga and Mike from Tincknell has been servicing it for years - without fault. In fact I think his Dad did it before him. Mike is a delight - he services perfectly every time with no mess or hassle. I would recommend Tincknell.

We had been having problems withy our boiler and this was the 3rd callout. Service due in a fortnight`s time was rescheduled. Promptly attended to by a young employee who went beyond his call of duty to be helpful and answer my questions. He was polite and efficient and both he and myself spoke highly of Tincknells both as employer and for excellent customer service. I have been a customer for decades and as a company they have never failed me. I always recommend them to friends and anyone who asks for a heating engineer. Excellent. Long may it continue.

This visit was a standard half yearly service and inspection of our oil fired Aga. We saw our usual engineer who more often than not services our Aga and Worcester Bosch central heating boiler. He arrived within the promised time frame and the work was carried out with his usual expertise and efficiency. As always he took great care to leave everywhere clean and tidy and was cheery and friendly throughout. A job well done with minimal fuss and inconvenience.

Amicable and friendly gentleman incredibly fast and efficient immediately inspired confidence in his knowledge, understanding and competence. A pleasure.

Tincknell Fuels Ltd., installed our boiler in 2002 and have serviced it every year. Their engineers are always polite and professional. Likewise the office staff are also helpful when dealing with any issues we have with the system or when arranging fuel deliveries. I would recommend Tincknells for their good service and quality workmanship.

I have traded with this company since 1984. They have never let me down either for servicing or oil delivery. Their staff are efficient , reliable and friendly. What's not to like. 5***** Thoroughly recommended.

Our engineer arrrived on time and completed the servicing of the boiler swiftly and competently. Ours is a good old Trianco boiler that “experts” say should be replaced with a combi one. All of our engineers know better!

I want to express my deep disappointment and disgust with the way Tinknells has treated us. Following the engineer's visit, during which they fitted a new jet and bled the system, we immediately noticed a strong smell of kerosene. The engineer returned and claimed it was more likely to be carbon monoxide. We took matters into our own hands and discovered a leaking hose. We endured multiple visits from different engineers attempting to fix various problems, including the persistent leaks. This continued throughout the Christmas period, while we were subjected to a nauseating smell of kerosene that permeated our home. We lost count of the numerous times we had to contact Tinknells, yet we received no apology from the company, despite their engineers being responsible for the initial problem. Their lack of care and consideration towards us has left us feeling deeply let down. The situation persisted for approximately two months until an environmental consultant finally arrived and discovered that the leak had spread beneath the lino and into the skirting. Only then did the process of extracting the smell and replacing the damaged areas begin. We endured a total of 18 working days of disruptions due to engineers and environmental consultants visiting our property, while we spent 3 months living in an environment tainted by a horrific smell. We feel compelled to warn others about the appalling experience we endured with Tinknells. No customer should have to go through this.

I have used Tincknell's to service my boiler for the last 50 years and never had cause for doubt about the quality of the work. Our current engineer is very friendly and leaves the work area clean. This was a routine service with no unexpected costs. If something goes wrong and a repair is needed, I know Tincknell's will do their utmost to fix it promptly. In short, I am happy to recommend this company.

Tincknell Heating, with whom I have a 'Breakdown Plan', have carried out services and repairs on my boiler and central heating for many years to the highest of standards. In early May I had a problem which I reported. An engineer arrived the same day, inspected the system, diagnosed the problem and identified the need for a replacement actuator. The following day another engineer arrived, fitted the part and inspected the system which then revealed a quite separate issue that required a replacement pump that was ordered immediately from the supplier. Although it took several days to arrive at Tincknells this was not an inconvenience and on 9th May an engineer and then an electrician attended, fitted the new part and ensured our system was working faultlessly. Once again Tincknell Heating engineers, electricians and clerical staff demonstrated that, at all levels, they are thoroughly professional, efficient and reliable and that they are totally committed to customer care and speed of action. In short they are a credit to a company that provides such a reliable service – this I find to be so reassuring in an age where such reliability is often in short supply. I have no hesitation therefore in recommending this company to others who may have similar requirements.

I ordered heating oil from CERTAS on the 14th December 2022 with a deliver before 3rd January. No sign of the oil by the 9th January so I cancelled the order and phoned Tincknell midday on the 9th January. The oil was in my tank by 9:30 am the following day. Thanks you for such excellent service.

We had a great experience with Tincknells. Work was carried out promptly and within agreed timescale. We required a combi boiler to replace an old heating system. An engineer took time to do a site visit and discuss the options so we were able to decide what best suited us. After the installation the engineer took the time to explain the controls and recommended how to get the best out of the system. Great job efficiently done.

From us contacting Tincknells to quote for a replacement boiler to the actual installation it was customer service at its best. Something we have grown not to expect! The quote pack was detailed and comprehensive, the communication with the installation manager to agree dates etc. prompt and clear. The plan was itemised with timings and names of the people I should expect and when....and they did just that. The on-site engineers were respectful of being in our home and very professional - not to mention personable! I am hopeful the boiler will live up to the installation.

We had a fault with our boiler and called for urgent help. 24 hrs later we were up and running again, with the problem diagnosed and new components fitted. Andy the engineer was most helpful and very thorough in checking the usual components for problems and carried the necessary parts in his van. A first-class service.

I have used Tinknell Fuels to service my Grant oil boiler and oil burning AGA stove for about 19 years. On a couple of occasions I used other companies and so can make a clear judgement on the service provided by all. Tinknell engineers are experienced, very thorough and always do a very good job. Each appliance is broken down into many parts, cleaned thoroughly and if needed parts are replaced with a clear explanation of the reasons for doing so. You really get the impression that they have a thorough knowledge of the equipment and they readily share what they are doing and why, and provide clear advice on what is necessary to prolong the appliance’s life. In addition they leave the appliance and the area in which they have worked spotlessly clean. I cannot say the same for other engineers I have had to service my appliances. They are slip shod, do the minimum work necessary and are off before you know it. Tinknell’s are not cheap. Currently (2022) a boiler and AGA together cost about £350 incl VAT. However, for this you are assured of a very good service and thereafter an appliance that will function reliably until the next service. If something is not right and it has happened only once with an AGA burner, the engineer will return and fix it at no extra cost, as long as the problem is related to the service. Tinknells are a 5 star organisation and two of their many engineers, Andy Simpson and Mike Morgan, are a credit to their profession.

This is the third time we have had Tincknell Fuels Engineer to service our oil boiler. We are very pleased with the service we have had from the company and would recommend others to use them. We also have our oil from Tincknell and receive a very good service form them.

My son-in-law contacted Ticknells Heating to install a new oil-fired boiler. They were great from beginning to end. They even presented me with a lovely bunch of flowers when they had finished the work. Highly recommend Tincknells Heating.

Our old internal boiler was leaking and beyond repair. The suggestion for a replacement was a new external boiler, which we were initially unaware of as an option. However, we were happy with the proposal and upside pf internal space being freed up. The work was commenced on schedule, completed on schedule - consideration of some ongoing unrelated building work all taken into account without needing any input from myself. Very happy with the whole process and confirmation of the competence we've had from Tincknells in the past in servicing our boiler and keeping it going as long as it lasted.

During a routine repair of a faulty oil pump in the Oil Boiler it was spotted that there was a small oil leak in the pipe from the oil tank to the oil boiler. A subsequent visit to attempt to replace the 40year old sunken pipe buried under the garden and drive was not successful and "Plan B" was developed to resite a new tank to enable the new pipework to be more conveniently installed above ground from the tank to the boiler. Throughout the investigations and installation work, I was kept fully informed of the work to be done and the cost off this work. The engineers who carried out all the work were competent and friendly and I am delighted with the quality and tidiness of the final solution. I am also confident, having been a customer of Tincknells for many years, that any subsequent follow-up will be attended to in a timely manner.

The engineer arrived well within the times previously agreed and carried out the annual service on our oil fired boiler in an organised manner. He was happy to discuss the progress of the service in a friendly way and advised there were no problems with the boiler, such that should be no need to replace the boiler any time soon. After the boiler service was complete, the area around the boiler was cleaned up leaving no trace of the work undertaken. The service included an inspection of the oil tank and the lines between the tank and the boiler, confirming all was in order.

We have used Tincknell's for the past twenty years to service our ancient oil-fired AGA and our oil-fired boiler. We have also had them replace a radiator and install a new oil tank. Although they quoted for a new boiler, when the old one reached the end of its life, we chose a cheaper quote from a sole trader, which was not installed to the same standards Tincknell provides. We regret that. If there is an AGA or boiler breakdown, or post-service glitch, they send someone to fix it promptly. Their engineers are friendly and knowledgeable, and work cleanly and efficiently. They arrive when scheduled and deliver to price quoted. You can speak to a real person when you telephone, not a long recorded message. The person you speak to is always helpful. This local firm delivers reliable and high quality service and a personal touch. Although their rates are not cheap, you pay for quality. They have been in the heating business since 1925 - so they ensure that their engineers know their stuff. Not a cowboy amongst them! We have only once visited the store in Wells, so cannot rate their retail services.

Arrived on time, full service carried out without any interruptions or questions to us. Everything left neat and tidy (as it was before he started) and boiler running well. As usual excellent service.

I realise there are cheaper companies but can you trust them for repairs. I have always had good service. Not cheap but reliable.

We were left with no oil moving into a new house. Tincknell supplied oil the next day, and the engineer visited immediately afterwards to get the boiler working. Couldn't have asked for a more efficient response and the work was done very quickly. I was also impressed about how knowledgeable the engineer was, and gave me a lot of helpful advice.

I have been using Tincknells for several years at my previous property where we had an oil fired central heating system. Tincknells did both the oil deliveries and the maintenance of the boiler and on both counts were always excellent. Consequently, on moving to a house with gas we had them replace an old boiler with a new gas system boiler and install an unvented hot water tank. On both counts they were excellent completing the work on time and always leaving everything nice and clean. Highly recommended!

Engineer called in when an oil leak was noticed in the boiler. This work is covered by our service plan. The hydraulic ram on the air flap was dripping and was replaced rapidly by the engineer. It was then noticed that there was a slight seepage from the isolation tap, which was also replaced. We have used Tinckell's for over thirty years to maintain our oil boilers. They are always reliable, friendly and courteous. Well cleaned and cleared up after work was completed,

Steve Ingram carried out both services very efficiently as usual. He is unfailingly courteous and helpful and we always prefer him to service our equipment.

The engineering attended diagnosed the fault swiftly (obstruction in the fuel line between the tank and inlet) and revolved the issue. Excellent service from an experienced competent engineer. Very pleased.

I have had a service contract on our oil boiler for a few years. The team are always accommodating to my busy diary and have been flexible when disruptions such as Covid has occurred. I have recommended Tincknell a number of times to other Oil CH owners. Their engineers are particularly accommodating, and efficient. Great, professional service.

Tincknell Heating were wonderful. They fitted our new gas fire and surround. Right from the start they were professional and helpful in advising as to what suitable gas fires/surrounds etc. would work for us and once we had picked our preference, and a price for the whole job was established, all was ordered and a date was fixed for installation. The day arrived and all went well. Great care was taken throughout the job and once the fire and surround were insitu, a tidy up was undertaken. We really can’t speak highly enough of the whole experience.

We were really impressed with Tincknells in installing our new ooo boiler. They were on time, and completed the job in a thoroughly professional way and took time out to set up/demonstrate the new Nest thermostat system. The team were really helpful from start to finish. We are delighted with our new boiler - it is more efficient and we’ll also save £17 a month on our boiler/service plan; effectively reducing the cost of the boiler by £1400 over the 7 year guarantee. From quotation to completion, this work has been handled very swiftly and efficiently. The engineers who carried out the work explained how they would undertake the removal of the old boiler, the need to re-site the replacement and the effect on our hot water and heating provision. All the work was completed well within the original time estimate and without any mess. We are very pleased with our new boiler.

The initial phone contact with the firm (Nick Turner) was very helpful and informative and helped me make a decision on the boiler model. I was given a realistic estimate of the time schedule which was totally adhered to. The engineer who came to assess the work was again, very informative and happy to answer questions. The two you men who turned up to do the actual work were polite, considerate and very efficient. All personnel turned on on time. An unexpected hitch was the access to the outgoing flue, promptly resolved by someone from head office bringing a longer ladder! Our new boiler installation was completed today. The engineers were really professional, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and efficient. They explained everything clearly and simply and nothing was too much trouble. Many thanks Liam and Ollie.

Tincknells engineer arrived at the booked time, completed the service, left my kitchen (where my boiler is) clean and tidy, and left me with sensible and practical advice on minor maintenance needed to oil tank and flue. Very happy with the service!

As usual, first-rate service from Tincknell. I rang to report the boiler breakdown at 8.30am & the engineeer arrived equipped with a suitable spare part about 2pm. Your engineer was outstandingly helpful & efficient, put in a new motor & had the boiler up & running in about half an hour.

Initially I required somebody to come around and discuss options to decommission a very old and hugely inefficient Stanley range and not only install a new boiler but consider the best location for the new installation. From the initial visit from Tincknell's I was very impressed with professionalism from the office staff through to engineers visit. Their covid procedures were excellent too, not only ensuring my safety but also their staff. During the first visit I felt what I was looking for was completely understood and the options were clearly explained to me. Having accepted the quotation the option of dates was clearly explained and those dates remained on track. As for the installation it was clear the installers Jamie & Lee not only knew what they were doing but took pride in their work too. Any questions I had were clearly explained and at the end of the installation the user controls of the system were clearly explained. Even though the installation required changes to water pipes, oil feed and electricity and the drilling through 2' thick walls everything was left spotless. I would not hesitate to recommend Tincknell's for the installation and would not find any fault with any aspect of the installation.

Work involved the removal of old heat storage cylinder and installation of an unvented cylinder. The old cylinder was approx. 25years old and the installation involved a considerable amount of new piping. The work was done on time and to the agreed cost. The installation team worked as a very effective team and clearly very knowledgable. Clear explanations given at the end of the installation to ensure full understanding of how the system worked.

Tincknell Heating are always very helpful. Allowing me my choice of service engineer. Olly Smart is very pleasant and efficient. He wasted no time and masked up even though I said he could take his mask of if he wished. I would stay a distance He checked all my radiators as I can no longer bleed them. (don't have the strength in my fingers!) I find their charges very fair. They are the best service engineers I've ever had. My daughter also finds this and always has them to deal with her Aga and oil fired boiler. The staff on the phone are always pleasant and helpful. Thank you, Tincknells!

We have been with Tinknell since shortly after we moved to Dorset, ie: around 40+ years (we are in our 80's) and have always admired and been grateful for the staff, always polite and efficient and understanding and for the speedy service provided which in this case which was particulally gratifying. A second visit was speedily organised following a first and involved Liam and his associate and the problem - a stuck valve - quickly identified and corrected. The whole system was checked and was, and is currently, working well as it had been previously. The problem could not have been dealt with more effectively and speedily with humour, enthusiasm, and friendliness. Liam and we had met on a previous visit some time ago and it was like old friends meeting up. We remembered each other with pleasure... The whole organisation is a great example of how a service should be and we are so grateful. We feel valued which is a great feeling. My oil AGA cooker was losing heat rapidly and was due a service. I phoned Tincknell and Pat in the office was very helpful, noting that Rob our normal engineer was working that day at a nearby property. He rang me back and said he could fit me in that afternoon. Always cheerful, he gets on with sorting out the problem and leaves no mess when he leaves. While most appointments are not always quite as quick as this one, they have invariably provided me with a reasonably fast turn around for boiler and AGA service for over 25 years.

Keith and Liam were exceptionally able and communicative in very trying circumstances. They fitted an entire gas system and boiler into an old cottage which still retained the original lead pipes throughout. They were careful to move all furniture and precious items in two bedrooms, traced the pipes under floorboards, and replaced them, leaving the rooms almost as they found them. Our boiler was over 25 years old and has been replaced by an efficient and easily workable system which we will greatly appreciate in years to come. I have nothing but admiration for their skill and the care which they took, and would not hesitate to use their company again.

A call back from Tincknells Thursday morning after our worried message the night before, led to one of their Engineers arriving before 10am, the same day. Fausto then assessed what the issue was, a pinhole leak on the internal fuel feed pipe. He carefully removed the failed pipe, made-up a like for like new replacement, re-fitted everything, then after carefully testing the final fitment, all was resolved. So, after no more than an hour, the leak was dealt with. What a professional task, carried-out by Fausto, a likeable, genuinely concerned person, who gave us considerable confidence in a job well done. A real credit to Tincknells. Brilliant team attitude. 👏 Still re-tiling and some decorating to resolve, but that will happen. Thanks from the Newton’s. 👍😎

They arrived on the agreed day with everything they needed for the installation. The team were extremely professional and knew exactly what they were doing. I just want to give a great big shout out for Tincknell Heating! Our oil fired combi boiler developed a noticeable leak yesterday evening. We turned it off and left it until this morning to contact for repair, to make it easier and cheaper for all concerned. We can cope without these modern day luxuries... for a while. Tincknell's was contacted via our landlords this morning at about 9:30am and the guys were out within 2-3 hours. It's now totally fixed and we have the luxury of hot water once more. Thank you to all involved. Great service!

We found Tincknells very professional in all aspects from providing a quotation following a visit from their engineer to agreeing dates and completing the job which in our case was not straightforward. We could not recommend them more highly. They were Superb.

We required a new Oil Tank as the old tank was showing signs of splitting. At the same time we took the opportunity to move the location of our existing boiler and fit a new oil line. We contacted 5 tradespersons to quote for the works. Tincknell Fuels provided the most efficient service of all the tradespersons from start to finish. The initial contact with the Office was handled very professionally with immediate email responses and confirmations of site appointments. Bearing in mind that this was during the covid pandemic! From that initial contact, the site visits were carried out well and we were informed of our options. The quotations that followed were clear and concise and as it happens also very competitive. The works were carried out in 2 tranches and again because of covid moved at my request with no hesitation. On the dates in question, the workmen turned up on time and completed the works as stated in the timescale mentioned with the minimum disruption. The follow up calls were very kind and flowers received by my wife were a lovely touch. I have never written a review before but I have no doubt in thoroughly recommending Tincknell Fuels for the outstanding service and customer support throughout what is a daunting process. Excellent right through from survey of works required to installation and commissioning. Old oil fired internally located boiler was removed with careful consideration for making good afterwards. External new boiler fitted and system converted from natural head to pressurised with a full system flush included. Excellent specification of works and plan for scheduling the right labour for the job. Very pleased with the on-site management during the entire process and efficient office support. The improvements in our heating & hot water efficiency and effectiveness have made the whole job well worthwhile.

The installation was carried out exactly as stated on the original plan, including transferring the oil from the old tank and removing that tank for recycling. There was no mess, no oil spillage and instructions were left both in paper form, and verbally. This was a fairly complex job replacing an old oil fired boiler with modern Worcester Greenstar boiler. Despite having to work under Covid restrictions and at a busy operational time, Tincknell team worked very efficiently at both problem solving in my system and installation of the new boiler. Throughout, their team took time to explain what they were doing and how the new installation would work. I am very pleased that I selected Tincknell and feel that I have benefitted from their vast experience.

This was an annual service conducted on my central heating boiler. I found the engineer who did this service extremely thorough and very competent . My opinion has been fully justified by the fact that my heating system has never worked as satisfactorily as it does now. Furthermore the engineers manner was pleasant and helpful. He proved to be exceptionally good at his job.

After moving into our new home in early January, we discovered an existing issue with our oil tank which prevented oil delivery. The response to our issue from Tincknells was nothing short of incredible. The support, communication, level of service and general guidance through being new to oil was second to none and without their help and support the initial stress and challenge would of felt much worse. They supported our resolution quickly, pulling out all the stops to support me and my family for which I'm massively grateful and appreciative. First rate from enquiry to completion about 2 weeks. Nick, the installation manager very helpful. Throughout the 2 days install no water for about 30 minutes. Lee and Jamie very tidy , overall I'm very happy with the job and to recommend them. Being a local firm means someone can respond quickly if any problems.

When it became evident that the old boiler was on its last legs Tincknells organised a replacement incredibly quickly. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and helpful, and the work was done efficiently and unobtrusively. The two people who installed the boiler gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble and they left everything spotless. We would definitely recommend them.

The boiler stopped working (16 yrs old). Called Tincknells Heating who service our boiler for an emergency visit. The engineer, Keith, attended and fitted a new part. Service was due soon and to keep an eye on it. It did not last that long. Keith did a thorough service. He explained (not easy with COVID restrictions) what the problems were. He was very in tune the boiler noises and when it was going wrong. New parts would be required and after contact with his office, had prices available within minutes. Too much for an old boiler, so we asked about a new one. Nick, in the office, had costs ready in no time, sending me all the information by email. Decided to go ahead and he set it in motion. Arranged a fitting date for 29th December. Two fitters arrived promptly and set to work immediately. Covered the floor and stair carpet to keep it clean. In no time, the old boiler was out. They worked solidly and had the new boiler working by the end of the day, running cleaner through the system overnight. The next day, they arrived promptly, drained the system to remove the cleaner, before refilling and checking. They were excellent at explaining the workings of the new boiler and the thermostat. New pipework was excellent. Clean, tidy workers. Very professional, very cheerful. Nick offered several ways to pay and we opted for finance, which he helped set up. Very efficient. A trusted local firm which I will continue to use. Well done.

After a series of intermittent problems with our 12 year old central heating system which Tincknells did their best to resolve, we decided to have the boiler replaced together with the troublesome valves. This was done on the agreed day. The team arrived on time, were pleasant, quiet, wore masks all the time and left everything clean and tidy. All now well. We particularly like the fact that they are a local company. My wife particularly appreciated the big bunch of flowers they sent!

We have used Tincknells to service our gas central heating system for several years and are pleased with both the quality of the work done and the charges. During a recent service we mentioned occasional malfunction of the ignition on the heating and hot water system so they made serveral visits checking possible causes, starting with the cheapest option. As the bill mounted up it seemed that a total replacement was the best option. This was carried out over two days. The first day involved setting up scaffolding which was well thought out as the scaffold company had made a previous site visit and recommended a cheaper option. Scaffold was.up and down on the first day and the work was completed on the second day. All work was clean and they consulted with us as the work progressed. A return visit after completion was no problem to clarify operation. We were not charged for the original service or fault-finding visits and parts which is very decent customer service.

We cannot praise the team at Tincknells enough for their professional friendly and prompt actions experienced when our boiler started to overheat the house. I live with my mother who is in her 80's who has medical issues, therefore we keep the temperature to 21, however, even she was feeling the heat at a balmy 26. I reported the fault in the morning and was told someone would be out but priority would go to those without heating so may not be today. Later in the afternoon we had a call and some came out and fixed the fault. The fault was identified and faulty valve replaced there was no mess and control panel was explained we were not confident with the controls. We decided to relocate our central heating boiler from the kitchen and on advice from Tincknell Fuels Ltd. we had an outside boiler installed. Tincknell provided us with a quotation which we accepted and the work was scheduled for October 19 and 20. The team of two engineers together with an apprentice arrived on the 19th. and on time. We were pleased to see that the two senior men treated their apprentice with consideration and integrity. The installation team were very caring and careful in moving around our property. We were very impressed with the professionalism and hard work of the men and the installation was completed on time and in budget. There was a minor problem found late on the last day which was dealt with to our satisfaction the following day. We would have no hesitation in recommending TINCKNELL FUELS LTD. for their quality and service.

It was a pleasure to have Oliver, Liam and Steve survey our home and upgrade our old internal Worcester boiler to an external one. As a customer of some 20+ years it came as no surprise that the installation team were polite, professional and extremely knowledgeable and it was a pleasure to have them working in our home as they observed the new and ever changing Covid protocols.

This service was completed in the latter stage of Covid Lockdown but in accordance with a Safety Protocol prepared by Tincknells and agreed with me in advance. The engineer arrived on time and adhered to the guidance in the Protocol throughout. Once he'd completed the service he left me a Service Report Sheet & verbally explained what he'd done. Despite the Covid strictures & unseasonally wet weather he conducted himself in a professional, respectful but nevertheless cheerful and friendly manner and left the premises as tidy as he found them.

Despite the complications arising from the pandemic and lockdown our service was completed as near as possible to the original appointment. In the interim we were kept fully informed. The service was completed efficiently as usual.

Due to Covid 19 our regular Aga service date had to be cancelled. However as lockdown eased Tincknells contacted us to rearrange a new service date if we wished to proceed. We were told exactly what to expect and sent a follow up email to confirm the arrangements and requirements. On the day the Engineer arrived at the expected time, carried out the work diligently and explained all that he had done after first establishing whether or not there were any specific issues or problems that we needed him to address. He tided up after himself and ensured that all was in order before leaving the site. Everyone involved in the cancellation, rescheduling and carrying out the Service was professional, courteous, friendly and apologetic for the delay which was clearly unavoidable and beyond the Company's control. From first coming to quote for the work for a new oil fired external boiler to installation Ticknells did a first class job. I particularly liked the fact that Ollie came to quote and he headed up he team of installers. Nothing was a problem, they communicated throughout the job and did a high quality installation. They were problem solvers, always polite and helpful. They came on time and cleaned up at the end of the day. They were careful to test everything and left plenty of time to ensure everything was working properly before they left. I had clear instructions on the system I am delighted with the result. Tinknells have serviced my boiler for a number of years and they are always very quick to come out if you have a failure and do not leave until they have sorted the problem. Our 25 year old oil-fired boiler developed a water leak on 11th May and after contacting Tincknell Heating, an engineer arrived a few hours later. He confirmed what I expected; that the boiler was finally unrepairable. Tincknells then sent one of their installers the following day (12th May) to carry out a survey for a new boiler, emailed a competitive quote the same day, and confirmed that they could install a new oil-fired boiler and balanced flue the following Saturday (16th May). We agreed to the installation and everything was back up and running by 3pm on the Saturday. Considering that this was at the time of a coronavirus pandemic 'lockdown', I consider this level of customer service exceptional. Throughout the 6 day period, Nick Turner, the Installation Manager, kept me fully informed of progress and checked that we were happy with everything after the installation. We have dealt with Tincknells for over 20 years (oil deliveries, boiler servicing, oil tank installation and now a new boiler) and have always found them to be good value for money and provide excellent, prompt and reliable customer service; they have our strongest recommendation.

Tincknell Heating installed a new external oil boiler, removed the old boiler and replaced 16 radiators for us. We chose Tincknell Heating because they had a large team to call on and the quality of their brand and work looked clean and efficient. it prooved to be a good decision as they sent an experienced and friendly team who got the work done in the time they quoted and to a high standard. They were confident with their pricing but were also willing to adjust it when we reduced the scope of the job and tested some unknowns once onsite. We would recomend them to others as a quality supplier.

On Good Friday 10/4/20 I was horrified to find water on my kitchen floor coming from a leak within my gas boiler.having placed buckets under the boiler I rang Tincknell as I had taken out a maintenance contract the previous October.Being a Bank holiday I did not expect the response I received.Within 30mins I was told an engineer would be with by lunchtime.He duly arrived & stripped the boiler to identify the problem,which was a faulty that needed replacing He made the boiler safe but we had no hot water.Later that day he rang to say he had got the part & would be with us the following morning at 9.He duly arrived & fitted the part.I was amazed that this problem had been solved so quickly on a Bank holiday weekend & during the Coronavirus lockdown & therefore highly recommend them.

I woke to find my boiler was not working. I phoned Tincknells at 9.00 and they arranged for an engineer to be with me between 11.00 and 1.00. He came at 12.00. He spent sometime checking everything and then informed me that a component on the computer board was not working. He said he had checked with the company stores and they didn’t have one so they had ordered one. It would be delivered to the company the following day. He apologised for the delay in getting my boiler working. On the following day another engineer arrived, and fitted the part. Whilst fitting it he noted that a different part had caused the computer component to blow and he changed this as well. My boiler was repaired. Throughout the whole process I was kept fully informed by office staff and the engineers about what they were doing, when they were doing it and why. I was impressed by their professionalism, effectiveness and customer service. I have no hesitation in recommending Tincknells.

My Stanley cooker decided to breakdown on me during the terrible times of the COVID lockdown! I made a call on Monday morning not expecting to get much joy but to my absolute joy I had an engineer with me the following morning. Fausto the engineer diagnosed the problem straight away and before fitting any parts checked that I was happy for him to do so. He did a great job and had Stanley up and running again in no time! Had a problem with the indoor tank oil level monitor. Thought it had been fixed at a service, but it went wrong again. They arranged for an engineer to come out at our convenience and he was able to fix the problem very quickly. Friendly, efficient service.

Lee ran through what was going to happen and we agreed a time for me to return as I was due go out. An hour before I was due to return I received a text to confirm the install was completed. I was a bit delayed in returning and while Lee was waiting for me he kindly fixed a loose handrail on my stairs and the dodgy handle on my bathroom door! Service indeed! I have been having my boiler serviced by Tincknells for years and Just had a replacement boiler fitted after the old one finally gave up. They have been extremely helpful from the original service guy to the sales team and organised a new one to be fitted very quickly. The guys arrived on time, were both very polite and had the new boiler installed in no time. Before they left they made sure I was happy with what they had done and ensured I had no questions unanswered. Would definitely recommend.

When our old oil tank started leaking, we called Tincknells for advice. The first engineer arrived within an hour of the phone call, and after a thorough inspection, called the 'tank team', who arrived within two hours, pumped out the old tank and quoted for replacement. The new tank was installed two days later, including removal and disposal of old tank. Very professional and efficient process. Would definitely recommend.
