Total Home Solutions (THS) are part of the Smith and Byford group and specialise in delivering Gas, Electrical and Plumbing services to local private Homeowners and Landlords. Our THS team operate from our showroom, located in Cheam Village, which was first opened in 2012.

The service and standard of workmanship that I received from Total Home Solutions was just brilliant. From my initial phone call to Emma in the office to Dell coming to my house to do a survey and Andy and Bryn who did the installation. The way the guys respected my house and kept everything neat and tidy could not be bettered. The aftercare service was also very good. I would thoroughly recommend.

The boiler installers arrived promptly at my 94 year old mothers flat and did the work to a professional finish. Andy and Bryn had to remove an old back boiler and water tank, and they managed to hide all of it behind cabinets. They even found time to make mum a cup of tea and fill her hot water bottle. They were polite and courteous, and the site was left clean and tidy. I would recommend them to anyone. The estimator, Del, was also extremely helpful at all times. We advise anyone needing this type of work to be done to use this company.

Very impressed with new radiator fitting

We needed an additional radiator downstairs. This job went very smoothly from the site visit to the installation. The estimator and the fitters were very personable. They had good office support. At first the rad was set too high, but they reset it for easier future redecoration. It’s a very neat job, at a reasonable price, and they tidied up after themselves. We’re very pleased with this professional organisation, and have no hesitation recommending this local company.

We have had a service contract with Smith & Byford Total Home Solutions since 2016 and have always been delighted with their service. Thankfully, for most of the past 8 years we have only required an annual boiler service and check, but when we have called them in an emergency they have always reacted promptly and made the repairs necessary with no extra charge, such as when the boiler sprang a leak last year. This week we called them out to investigate what we thought was a suspicious smell coming from the boiler, the engineer spent an hour and a half doing various tests and taking readings before he gave the boiler a clean bill of health, to reassure us all was well. Again, this came within our service contract, so no further charges. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is looking for excellent service and peace of mind. 5 Stars + !

Have used this company for many years, and would not use anyone else, from the office staff to the installers, I cannot fault their work. Minimum of mess made and care taken at all times. Informed what was happening every step of the way. We have had several large jobs done and have been very happy with all of them . More than happy to recommend them to anyone.

The service I received on the installation of a new boiler was excellent from start to finish. Customer Service and communication is first class. Nothing is too much trouble. They go the extra mile to ensure the customer is happy. I have also have a home service contract with them which compares favourably with others. I particularly appreciate they are a local company and there is never any issue with being able to contact them.

We were very pleased with the guys who installed the boiler for us. They were very friendly as well as being thorough in their work and careful in how they treated our house. Smith and Byford were very efficient throughout the quoting and contracting process and we were impressed that a follow up QC visit was arranged.

My experience with Smith&Byford was excellent, they were by far the most polite and friendly team of contractors I have worked with (I believed I had Andy and Bryn as fitters). They fitted a shower pump, replaced a sink, redid a toilet supply pipe and fitted an under-sink water filter in my kitchen, between the hours of 10 and 4. They took their shoes off straight away and were very curteous around the house, left everything clean and tidy when they left. The communication with the office regarding dates and invoicing was also very good, I spoke with Emma. What I appreciated a lot as well was that the team came out to do a proper survey of the work required (they came out twice, just to make sure), so that they could tell me what my options were and how to go about it. Previously I've had to pay a call out charge to a plumber just for him to tell me that he will need to order some parts and come back another time!

We had had a problem with damp under the kitchen sink. Attempts to locate the problem over a number of months by our contracted maintenance had failed to identify the problem. In desperation we went to Which trusted traders and found Total Home Solutions. Andy and Bryn arrived at short notice. They were super efficient and speedily assessed and rectified the problem which other “professionals” had failed to do. When our current maintenance contract expires, we will be looking to Total Home Improvement for our boiler service etc.
