I recently bought my first property and have had zero experience of working with builders, but took a recommendation from a colleague. John, Mark and Daniel worked for 10 weeks on a 2-bed flat refurb which included a new bathroom and kitchen, moving of gas central heating pipes (a complicated job), ripping up and replacing of problematic badly installed and creaky floors, installation of LVT flooring, new doors / light switches / power sockets, decorating and build of two walk-in wardrobes. They communicated well, suggested methods to save money and were happy to incorporate adjustments along the way. I live in zone 2 in London which has tricky parking restrictions, so Mark kindly put a skip on his own driveway as a workaround. They also went above and beyond expectations, such as ferrying me to pick up / return new light fittings and helping me transport my things when it was time to move back home from an Airbnb. I wouldn’t hesitate to contact them in future for any other jobs.

John, Mark and Daniel are a great team and we were pleased with the total transformation of a very outdated bathroom. Mark and Daniel worked very hard and to budget and to time. They care about the standard of work they produce and made very helpful suggestions and ideas along the way. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again as the need arises.

I've used Total Services before and have been extremely satisfied with their work so was they were my go to company to have a quick revamp of a separate bathroom and toilet in a property I was selling. Mark & Dan removed a damaged bath, and supplied and fitted a new one, along with a new bath panel & vanity unit. Mark & Dan take pride in their work and whilst cleaning up the toilet (room) they found a leak which they repaired. They finished the work on time and on the agreed budget, which I'll add was very reasonably priced. I'll gladly recommend Total Services, and will use them again for any future works.

We used Total Services last year to modernise our outdated bathroom. They did such a great job, and after seeing photos of their other jobs on their new website, we had no hesitation in asking them back to refurbish our loft shower room. As well as fantastic tiling, they imperceptibly managed to exchange a 6mm cable for a 10mm cable from the loft to the fuse box in the kitchen, which allowed us to upgrade the electric shower to a 9.5kw version). They take pride in their work and are very tidy. Daily communication and updates also very good. The room looks amazing. My driveway was laid 38 years ago using solid clay block pavers, but was starting to move and ripple. Mark had recently completed my daughter's porch and so I asked him to take a look. I wanted to reuse the existing blocks (not something many contractors would take on) and he agreed to do this, and gave us an acceptable price. He suggested also having a Blue Brick edging in order to stabilise and strengthen the paving edges, and also give us some more spare blocks to allow for cuts and broken ones. Mark and Daniel worked relentlessly through 5°C temperatures and frequent rain. They never missed a day. We had ‘site’ meetings each day (over cups of tea) to discuss the work and they overcame several unplanned issues (broken soakaway drain etc). They took great care not to damage our shrub borders and cleaned up each night. The standard of workmanship is beyond reproach (I am a Chartered Building Surveyor so hopefully should know) and overall my wife and I are exceptionally pleased with the finished job. The price was exactly as agreed, plus extras we had agreed along the way. Nothing was too much trouble and I could tell that Mark took pride in his work and aimed to finish with no defects. Well done to Mark and Daniel. We will be using them again.

I have been using the services of Mark and Daniel for many years now, and with John they are a great team. Friendly and courteous, they will take on any job I ask of them. The most recent job they did for me was swap my internal Dordogne oak doors for ones with Glass Panels in my kitchen and lounge, which have really opened up my hallway. Since moving to my new house, they have retiled my bathroom floors, replaced the bathroom basins, replaced my en-suite shower door, tiled my back splash wall with beautiful glass tiles, installed Amtico flooring in my understairs cupboard, which originally had open concrete flooring. The standard of workmanship is always to a very high standard. At my old house they replaced my rear door and windows for a beautiful French doors, removing the wall under the windows, and finished it off to provide a beautiful opening to my garden. They also completely gutted the bathroom and rebuilt my shower and retiled the walls and shower. Mark also installed all my garden and outdoor lighting as well as external power points. They are very helpful through consultation and their quotes are very reasonable. A very friendly team who can take on any project. They turn up on time and clean up after themselves every evening before they finish. I highly recommend Total Services for any work you need doing around the house, whether it is inside, remodelling, garden, driveway, plumbing etc. They can do pretty much any job.

Mark and Daniel built me a new porch. They were reliable and friendly and completed the work to a high standard. The original quote was what was paid. They communicated with me at all stages. I will use them again for future projects.

I would like to thank John, Mark and Daniel for renovating my en suite. They had to knock a wall down so there was a bit of work involved. I also decided on a fully tiled bathroom with brick tiles! They did it without any hesitation. The work was completed on time and to budget. Communication was first class all the way before, during and afterwards. They were great helping me choose my bathroom suite through their professional contacts. The whole process was very easy without any aggravation. The boys turned up on time, were always polite and cleared up every day. I am over the moon with my new stunning ensuite and in fact they are back next week on another project for me. We have used the team previously to instal a new kitchen and this time to provide a new patio area and completely refurbish a dining room . In just three weeks, Total Services renovated our very old, tired bathroom, including moving doors and walls, and turned it into fantastic new space. Their decades of experience, and pride in their work, meant that they were able to come up with solutions for any small issues that cropped up along the way and also suggested ideas that improved the original design. Their time keeping, communication and tidiness were all great. Any additional costs to the original quote were agreed beforehand. Such a lovely team to work with - John and Mark, together with Dan, their apprentice who’s very eager to learn and work, an absolute dream team. My whole flat (first floor with no lift) was renovated and decorated from top to bottom, including fitting a new kitchen, toilet and shower room, as well as moving radiators and doors, electrical etc. With them understanding my needs and with their excellent advice, the flat is now so homely and modern, and most importantly, practical and energy efficient, a lot of compliments from family and friends, well-deserved! There were certainly a lot of challenges along the way which Mark was very good at solving them. John was so great in project managing the whole process, with me working full time and travelling for work, he was very skilled at liaising, negotiating and picking up materials, really helped me out tremendously. I have complete trust in them; with them being flexible, creative, easy-going, thinking outside of the box, and most importantly, considering what’s best for their customers. I was always kept in the loop with the progress from their daily texts and photos, and I didn’t need to be onsite most of the time. When there were things I wasn’t sure of, they were just a phone call or a text away. As with all projects, not only was their workmanship excellent, they delivered the project on time and within budget. There were no nasty surprises at all, just good surprises! I got Total Services back as had previously done some great work for me. They didn't disappoint this time either! Completely refitted my small bathroom. Not only is the fitting great, but it now also feels so much bigger in there. Mark and Dan were problem solving all the time and flagging up other issues during their work; my fusebox is now also in the 21st century. They always go the extra mile to help and advise.

John and Mark of Total Services, along with their apprentices Dan and Tom have done an outstanding job, on budget and schedule. They built a single storey extension at the back (hand dug the deep foundation in the patio!), fitted a kitchen, re-wired all of downstairs, changed our boiler and fitted underfloor heating, replaced a new garage roof, extended and installed a new shower in the downstairs bathroom, as well as repaired and replaced our front porch area. We are so grateful and have no hesitation in recommending them. They are knowledgeable, skillful, dedicated and hardworking, and importantly such a friendly bunch, top blokes! They were courteous (not only to us, but also our neighbours, keeping disruptions to a minimum) and looked after us as if they were working in their own home. John project managed for us, their longstanding good relations with their fellow tradesmen, suppliers and council building control enabled the project progress seamlessly. We lived in the house throughout the work, despite the upheaval, they kept the disruptions as low as possible, we are grateful for their thoughtfulness. We did not expect such an exceptional team, at the time when our previous builder had let us down and delayed our project by 6 months. Finding any new team was not easy, let alone coming across such a dream team, it was indeed a miracle. We continue to be astounded by the quality of their work and wish them well in their future projects.

Total Services carried out a floor to ceiling renovation of my kitchen / diner and bathroom and made major improvements to a separate WC and airing cupboard. They also managed the renewal of my central heating boiler and hot water tank and major changes to plumbing and mains layouts. John and Mark were very helpful (challenging) at the planning stage and offered constructive ideas how to achieve what I was aiming for. Having agreed the work to be done, I made a late decision to go away for the duration and leave them to it, not something I find comfortable doing. I returned 6 weeks later to the completed job. The work and finish is to a very good standard and they met the challenge of fitting a quart into a pint pot. Everything is working well and Mark has sorted the few snags that emerged. John and Mark and lads are good to work with. I’m happy with the results and happy to recommend them.

We recently used Total services to carry out structural work and total renovation of our kitchen diner. John was great at communicating from the start, he project managed the entire process which was fantastic. The project took six weeks and Mark and his team were professional throughout and did an amazing job. They were easy to deal with. The job involved taking down a wall, replacing a steel, levelling floors and ripping out and replacing the entire kitchen. I would thoroughly recommend them and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Excellent consultation and communication throughout the project undertaken. My 120yr old mid terrace old cottage necessitated so much more work to be undertaken before the project was completed e.g new boiler, radiators and all the plumbing. I requested plastering of downstairs rooms and hallway plus upstairs areas also the extension flooring and outside patio all of which was undertaken willingly. John, Mark, Dan and Tom were professional and performed excellent work also very clean and tidy with the removal of waste material etc. The extension is perfect- roomy and light and I feel that I am in a new house!! I would certainly recommend them for future work.

A huge thanks to John, Mark and Dan who did a great job refurbishing our bathroom. There was a lot of work to be done in such a small space, but the transformation was amazing. Their prices are very competitive and it was done within budget and on time. We were consulted along the way on any issues and discussed options to get the right outcome. Mark ensured we had a running toilet at all times, which I know was a headache for him, but much appreciated. Additional tweaks or products and costs are discussed upfront, so there are no surprises or hidden charges. Some awkward piping meant ordering another sink unit, which unfortunately was out of stock and delayed things a bit for them, but it wasn't a problem. It arrived yesterday. Mark collected it and came over to fit it right away. They are very professional, friendly team and fun to work with. They take pride in their work, which is of a very high standard and are clean and tidy workers. I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone. The only problem is they are very busy, so getting them to do more jobs isn't easy in the short term, but it would be worth the wait.

John, Mark and Dan did a fantastic job of our kitchen refurbishment. The work involved the strip-out of existing kitchen and replacement of full cabinets, appliances, and flooring in the kitchen and hallway. They were polite, trustworthy, and enjoyable company throughout. We were consulted on all key decisions when they needed to be made, and work was completed in good time with minimal disruption. TS were very accommodating when changes needed to be made to the scope of works due to our decisions, adding value and expertise wherever possible. I would thoroughly recommend TS and will be speaking to them again shortly about some other household projects.

Mark, John and Daniel have just completed building a new car port. Found the team very helpful and professional. Impressed with the high standard of work and delighted with our new car port. We are very pleased with our beautiful new two room side extension. John, Mark & the team were very friendly right from the start and kept us informed on a daily basis as the work progressed. John and Mark did an excellent job for us remodeling our kitchen, which we are very pleased with. This included closing up an old window and door, changing the gas, electricity and water supply, laying a new tiled floor, adding a french window and installing new fitted kitchen units. Their price was very competitive and their only interest throughout the job was whether we were happy with the work and getting what we wanted. We would strongly recommend them to anyone.

John, Mark, and Dan were professional, friendly and transparent as they transformed the wooden ramshackle lean-to on the back of my house into effectively an extension with plastered walls, a full width sliding door looking onto the garden and internal patio doors removed. The result? A dining room that flows into the conservatory. Excellent problem solving skills to come up with solutions as they went along; the wooden floor was decomposing, so they laid a new floor with lovely laminate. They also did a few DIY jobs, fixing things that they were saw were not quite right. That's customer service. At all times John and Mark would discuss my options and clearly lay the costs out. No hidden extras! Dan is a whizz at painting; he painted a wooden suspended ceiling, transforming it from an overbearing heavy looking ceiling. I would get these guys back in for building/maintenance-related work any day of the week. I'd also trust anybody John recommends, be they plasterers, decorators, etc. Top notch communication skills :)

John and Mark completed a number of works to our property including but not limited to, a complete rewire, extending the upstairs bathroom and a complete renewal of the house plumbing, removing pebbledash from the exterior and render, building a bespoke bookcase and a large side and back extension. John and Mark were scrupulous in their approach from digging the foundations to laying the final brick and we were thoroughly impressed throughout the works with their conscientiousness, skill and experience. They were reliable, clean and tidy and only worked on our build for the entirety the project. We found John and Mark very approachable and informative regarding the progress of the build and also exceptionally helpful in providing advice and options on aspects of the build we had overlooked. John and Mark have easily been the best builders we have employed to carry out works to any of our houses.
