Tower Heating established in 1990, is a family-run, central heating and gas company operating in Formby and it's surrounding areas.

Our emergency line is open from 8am - 8pm, 365 days a year, making us the largest and most reliable, independant heating company in the region.

We pride ourselves on being second-to-none when it comes to our knowledge, workmanship, cleanliness and the friendliness of our team.

We aim to go beyond simply satisfying our customers and are proud of the relationships we have built over the years. As can be seen from our reviews, many of our customers welcome our team back into their homes with open arms.

We are a Worcester Bosch Accredited Partner. This means that we are now able to offer up to TWELVE years guarantee on boilers that we install.

We have used Tower Heating for many years for emergency plumbing and heating all outs. So they were the obvious choice to replace a very old boiler and gravity fed system. In our 60s house, the siting of the old boiler, gas and water supply made the work of designing and installing the boiler - including a flue through the flat garage roof - not straightforward. 2 old radiators were replaced and a new one fitted. A new hot water cylinder was installed and TRVs to all existing radiators. It all went very smoothly and much quicker than we had imagined with very little disruption to us. Cold and hot water were off for only a matter of hours. The work was carried out very quickly over 4 days. The pipe work, designed by Neil for the new boiler is a work of art! We could not fault the way Neil and the lads helping him carried out the work, sometimes in very tight physical situations in the house. Very efficient and seemed to be enjoying their work. We were not surprised by the high standard of the whole project, but were delighted!

I had a new boiler transferred from loft to downstairs cupboard and 8 new radiators.Work was carried out quickly and efficiently. Staff were very polite and hard working.

New Central Heating Boiler installation

For the past few years my central heating boiler had become unreliable and the installation of a new boiler was necessary. As I was going from a free standing boiler to a new combi boiler I was very apprehensive about all the work involved. I read the good reviews about Tower Heating, based in Formby, Merseyside and decided to contact the family run Company. Neil, the owner, arrived at the appointed time, checked, explained thoroughly all the details of the work involved with the repositioning of the new boiler. The comprehensive, professional estimate arrived when Neil said it would. I accepted the estimate, the staff in the office rang with the date of work to be carried out and kept me informed. The engineers, Chaise and Kieran, arrived on time on the date specified, were very polite, wore their protective face coverings, lay down dust sheets and immediately started the work. It was a three-day job, as expected. From start to finish the work was carried out totally professionally. Neil called in to ensure everything was going to plan. I now have a great new boiler, lovely heating and hot water with the confidence of great aftercare. So a huge thank you to all the staff at Tower Heating. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this Company and just wish all Companies could be the same.

We had our boiler and radiators replaced by Tower Heating. From providing a survey and quotation (Greg), to installation and testing (Chaise and Kieran) they were 1st class in all respects. The resulting new boiler and radiators are working highly effectively, the work was completed on time with little or no mess, with the finish to a very high standard at the price quoted. We would highly recommend Tower Heating if you’re looking to install or replace your central heating system.

No hot water!

I had not used Tower Heating before but thought their web site looked very professional and they appeared to have a strong local commitment to delivering good service. I contacted the company as I had a problem with a working boiler but no hot water coming out of any of the bathroom or kitchen taps. Keith and Will arrived on time and quickly identified the problem. They had the necessary spare parts on their van and were able to effect a speedy repair. Keith advised that I may experience a short term problem with air locks in the system. He called at 8.45 the next morning to check that all was well and returned in his lunch hour to complete the job. He also identified and replaced a defective tap. Very professional and focussed approach with a strong customer service ethos- unlike the previous plumbers that I have used for service and repairs. Highly recommended based on this job.

Lee checked radiator thermostat, checked a thermostatic radiator, added inhibitor to loft tank, used his safety ladder, and tackled the job cheerfully and speedily, then enlightened me on the work carried out plus a verbal review of the performance of our system. Excellent as always. We look forward to our autumn annual service by Lee.

The two plumbers arrived ten minutes early and had completed the job very quickly and efficiently within the hour. They advised me as they were working of any problems, one being the tap had been siliconed on which they were able to resolve. Very happy with the service, price was as had been quoted. Will use them again.

Had an out-the-blue late night failure of our hot water and central heating system in the depths of winter. Rang Tower heating at 8.45am the next day and had the call immediately answered, with them pulling out all the stops to have Greg come conduct a survey and estimate on his way home from his usual workload that evening. Within a day, the new boiler was sourced and at every stage Tower Heating were able to exceed their promises with them juggling their schedules to get our heating and hot water up and running as fast as possible. Gordon and Tom B kept us up-to-date with their arrival and plans, showed up exactly when promised and had our system working a day earlier than expected. They explained everything they were doing to the house, worked quietly and were diligent with COVID practices and also managed to troubleshoot and solve other issues we had with our water and heating, that they fixed with no extra charge, one of which brought us great relief to finally have a working stopcock in the house! Gordon and Kieran came the day after they got us up and running to perform some finishing touches and set up our smart system, and their work was spot on and handled in a manner that exuded pride in what they were doing. At all times we felt confident and secure that we had some professionals doing things right. A big thank you, your help was much appreciated!
