I found the whole process with Trustguard to be refreshingly straightforward, transparent and professional. Stacey was quick to answer my query and schedule an appointment with Don to come out and inspect the issue - which was a widening crack in the stone lintel of a tenanted property. A quote was quickly sent and agreed and the work scheduled in shortly thereafter. Don stitched the lintel using reinforced bars and installed heli-bar stitching in the brick course above - job looks good upon completion. Don was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They turned up on the agreed date and completed the work to a good standard before sending an invoice - no funds were requested in advance. A very good experience and I recommend the company whole-heartedly.

Don came out the very next week after I first enquired about a PIV. NUAIRE DRI-ECO-HEAT-HCS . He kept me informed of his probable arrival time, which changed due to traffic. He explained how the system works and that in very cold weather, there is a small heater which ensures cold air does not blow from the unit. Don fitted the unit the very next week and cleaned up afterwards. The electrician came the same evening and connected it to the power. A very professional job well done - much faster than other companies I contacted. Paperwork and receipt sent promptly along with information on servicing/replacing filters. When I wake up in the morning, the air smells and feels fresh and pure. No condensation. Well worth the money.

I contacted Trustguard to investigate wood worm in my son’s house. Their communication was excellent throughout the process, including Don contacting me to explain that he was going to be delayed due to a previous job taking longer than expected. On arrival Don explained clearly the problem and its resolution. A further visit was arranged for the treatment which was carried out promptly and efficiently at the arranged time. I had a section of damp proofing done in my home and I was surprised at the level of care taken and also how clean everything was left when the job was finished. There were a couple of little snags which Don quickly remedied. Really pleased with the high standard of work done and how pleasantly it was concluded. Work was done on time and to agreed budget, which was significantly lower than competitors'. Workers arrived promptly, and didn't waste time. When Don visited to assess the job, he took time to explain how wall-ties corrode, what their replacement involved and provided an instant quotation. The work was carried out efficiently and speedily despite the very cold weather. On one day, when they were delayed, I was contacted by phone to explain. Don and Wayne were pleasant, courteous and professional throughout and they also took the time to clear up the inevitable brick dust. Don and his team are absolute lifesavers. They boarded ceilings and replastered throughout. But the biggest job that seemed to frighten other builders was having to fully excavate the whole ground floor, fill in and replace the concrete floor. It didn't phase them at all. It feels like a whole new house. I cannot rate them highly enough and would not hesitate to use them again.

I contacted TrustGuard looking to have some timbers in my house previously affected by woodworm assessed. Trustguard were really responsive when approached and readily gave advice and a quote about the level of service we needed to fulfil our aims. Trustguard were understanding of our timescales to have the assessment completed and had no difficulty in accommodating this for us. On the day of the visit, the technician arrived on time (and even gave us a call to let us know he was on his way prior!). Don was friendly, knowledgeable and thorough in his assessment whilst at the property. Helpful verbal feedback was provided followed promptly by an email summary of his assessment which we had requested to support the sale of the house. Don understood that getting this back to us on time was really important and required no chasing and everything was done as promised. This level is service and after care is one that other traders should be aspiring to reach. Very pleased with our experience using Trustguard and would recommend them confidently to others.

Carried out a PIV service and filter change in a couple of flats. Have used previously for the install of these systems and they were great then too. A great company to deal with and very organised and efficient. Very knowledgable in what they do and great at identifying and confirming the reason and cause of any damp related issues. Great communication from Don and the team throughout the lead up to work being completed. I had damp proofing completed in my living room and dining room following a survey after purchase of a property. The team arrived promptly each day of work, were thoroughly professional throughout and kept me informed of all the work they were carrying out at all stages. I found TrustGuard Damp Specialists from Which magazine Trusted Traders, as I was looking for a recommended company due to a negative experience with another Damp Proofing company. Don came to my flat when he said he would and identified the rising damp patches and gave me a competitive quote straight away. Don also advised me about incorrect information given to me by the other damp proof firm, plus he told me how to improve the ventilation in the flat. When I formally accepted the quote we agreed a date when the work would be completed. On the day Don rang me to tell me when they'd be at my flat. The work was completed on time and Don gave me advice on when I could paint the plaster. Wayne, Don's plasterer also advised me about the painting process. I received an invoice via email which contained payment details. I have recommended TrustGuard to friends because they gave a fair quote, with no attempt to rip me off or give incorrect advice. They turned up when they said they would, and did a good job and the aftercare was in place as Stacey rang me afterwards to ensure that everything was OK.
