We are the North East's professional Building Preservation & Damp Proofing Company. Our Director, Don Cellini, is a PCAQT Qualified Technician with vast experience in all aspects of building & preservation.
Having carried out hundreds of surveys over the years, Don knows the housing stock of the North East 'inside out'.

I called TrustGuard as my joiner thought I might have rising damp. Don completed a thorough inspection questioned how often I opened windows, almost never, and ascertained that the problem was condensation, not rising damp. He advised on the correct course of action, the installation of a PIV unit and within a couple of days John came to fit the unit, followed by Steve who connected the unit. Everything was left clean and tidy and the whole operation from start to finish was carried out in the most professional manner. I chose TrustGuard from a search engine as it had the Which accreditation and it is the best thing I could have done. A truly impressive operation.

Trustguard fitted a ventilation system in Feb for me. As my previous review states, I was delighted with the service I received. However the measure of a great company is the service they provide after they have your money! This company is everything you want. I rang Don to say the system wasn't working. He arranged to come out a couple of days later, checked the system and found we had accidentally switched it off!! Oops! As I apologised profusely....Don was great took it all in his stride and couldn't have been kinder. This really is the service you would like from every company. Brilliant, thank you.

Was buying an old house and an issue was raised with the homebuyers survey of damp in many places, contacted a couple of companies and got and a wide varied of prices which some was over the top saying the whole house needed doing, spoke to Don and asked him to carry out a survey and as you pay for this services they not trying to rip you off. We were given a moving date and arranged with Don to carry out the works ASAP once we got the keys so the work could be done before we moved in, this date fell through and this was not an issue with Don, once we finally moved in at short notice Don carried out the work straight away in the time frame given, the work was carried out by John who was excellent tidying up as he went and the work was to a great standard. Don & John was very helpful from the first conversation to the end of the job.

Don came to give us a quote, he looked around the property himself to see what was needed - this was great for me as I’m currently working from home so I was not disturbed at all. John then came to do the work over 2 days and once again got on with what he needed to do, he cleaned up after himself and was so efficient completing the work.

I have been very impressed with my dealings with Trustguard from start to finish. Internet searches revealed a helpful, easy to navigate website with up-to date, useful and relevant information. Communications with Don were excellent, with prompt responses to queries and accommodating on a convenient work date. His quote was very competitive, and Don was extremely helpful at all stages; he is clearly very experienced and very knowledgeable about this specialist work. We called Trustguard for help and advice with a woodworm problem. Don and his team assessed the job and carried out the spray treatment very quickly and with minimum disruption. Very satisfied and all done within a week. Also, communication with Don was excellent, it was an all-around friendly but very professional experience. Would definitely recommend it.

Don came out promptly at the agreed time. Saw the condensation problem. He put my mind at rest that it could be cured and recommended a PIV at a fair price for system and installation. He had a look at other areas of the house i had concerns and told me not to worry and didn't try to sell me anything. John arrived at the agreed time, fitted the PIV and left the area clean and tidy. Steve, the electrician, again arrived at the agreed time and did a clean and tidy job. Don and his team are everything you want from tradespeople. Efficient, tidy, fair price, i would recommend their services to anyone.
