Some damp was discovered when having building work done. Having been let down by the first person we saw, I contacted Trustguard having remembered they'd done some work for us when we bought the house 10 years ago. Stacey in the office was incredibly friendly and accommodating, understanding our predicament (room needing decorating before carpets could go down all the while with growing pressure from wife and kids to get the xmas decs up on 1st December!) and arranged for Don to come out. Don is knowledgeable, friendly and gave a great quote on the spot. He and Jay then turned up on time and constantly cleaned as they went tot he point that I didn't even see a speck of dust which was incredible given the work being done.

I found TrustGuard Damp Specialists from Which magazine Trusted Traders, as I was looking for a recommended company due to a negative experience with another Damp Proofing company. Don came to my flat when he said he would and identified the rising damp patches and gave me a competitive quote straight away. Don also advised me about incorrect information given to me by the other damp proof firm, plus he told me how to improve the ventilation in the flat. When I formally accepted the quote we agreed a date when the work would be completed. On the day Don rang me to tell me when they'd be at my flat. The work was completed on time and Don gave me advice on when I could paint the plaster. Wayne, Don's plasterer also advised me about the painting process. I received an invoice via email which contained payment details. I have recommended TrustGuard to friends because they gave a fair quote, with no attempt to rip me off or give incorrect advice. They turned up when they said they would, and did a good job and the aftercare was in place as Stacey rang me afterwards to ensure that everything was OK.

Don came out quickly to assess the job and was able to give me a price at the time. Price was agreed and date given to commence work. Came when they said they would and did a fantastic job, very friendly and professional.Cleaned up afterwards too! Stacey in the office was lovely and so helpful. Would highly recommend this company.

Phoned Trustgaurd Ltd for an estimate for rising damp in our living room, Don came out on the agreed day and give us an estimate and explained what was involved and also sent us the estimate. Don arrived on time of agreed date, carried out the work and as per estimate cleaned up and even put our carpet back. Stacey was also very helpful and organized a paper copy and email copy as requested. Would definitely recommend.

I contacted Trustguard regarding a problem damp area in the second bedroom of our 1930s bungalow. Don visited in person to survey the area and then I received an email confirming the quotation, together with copies of their insurance details and certification documents. To have everything in writing was very reassuring, and one of the reasons I went ahead with their quote. Had rising damp issue in living room and hallway.had a quote in the winter and was happy with it but waited until the summer to get work done. Was a big job took a week as they said it would, very happy with work completed. They even did more than expected, doing extra plastering work to match and even out all the walls. Very friendly team. Cleaned up afterwards and left place very tidy. Would recommend to anyone.

My house was extended many years ago and where the house and the extension meet, the pointing had all cracked from top to bottom. I rang Trustguard and Don came within a matter of days and explained fully what the issue was and how it could be fixed. He gave me a price on the spot and I accepted – we then agreed a date for the work to be carried out. Everything went as expected and I was really pleased with the work as well as the professionalism of the business as a whole. Would definitely recommend.

We had quite a bit of damp remedied . We prepared well covering everywhere with builders polythene as we hadn’t long since had new carpets laid and didn’t want to take them up. We asked the guys to be as careful as they could although we understood it was a dirty job removing plaster from the walls and re plastering. The two guys Don and his pal did a fantastic job and worked as cleanly as they could even getting the Henry hoover out to clean round the edges of the polythene . They arrived at the time they said they would and worked solid completing a job that they said could take 4 days in 2 . The cost came in as quoted and to be honest they did more work than they had quoted for so we were very impressed with that. We would highly recommend and we ourselves would use again if we needed to .

I had a problem with damp and looked online for somebody local who could come out and confirm the problem and hopefully rectify it. After reading the reviews for Trustguard I rang Don who came out and explained the problem and how it could be fixed. I was able to arrange the work to be carried out when the weather got a bit warmer and around my work which was appreciated. I am very pleased with the work which was carried out professionally and to a very high standard by Don and his team. I wasn't looking forward to cleaning up afterward to be honest but I needn’t have worried they left the property as it was, clean and tidy. Communication was great and I was kept informed of the progress by Don while the work was being carried out. I would certainly recommend Trustguard if you have damp problems and want a job well done at a reasonable cost.

I needed a job done quickly while a flat in our house was empty for a couple of weeks. They were very helpful in coming out quickly to assess the job and did it in the tight time frame finishing on the Saturday to keep to the schedule requested by me. They did an excellent and thorough job and cleaned up afterwards! Their communication was also prompt and everything clear.

Had damp course installed at my property Trustguard arrived on the date arranged and did an absolutely fantastic job, Don did most of the work to a very high standard, would definitely recommend Trustguard, in fact already have done.

Don and the team did damp proofing on an old cottage and the work was carried out exactly as I had been informed and very efficiently and promptly. Although this job creates a lot of mess and rubble the team did a great clean up job and put things back the way they had found them as much as possible. They were punctual, friendly and polite throughout and worked flat out for a full week to get the job done. I would highly recommend them and use them again in future.

This is the second time we have used Trustguard. They installed a damp course for us in January & this time repaired a sprung floor caused by damp rot in our entryway. Don Cellini carried out the work. He was, as always, friendly, helpful, polite, & generous with his time. He explained what had caused the problem, what he would do to remedy it, & before he nailed the floor back into place, showed us what he had done. Afterwards, he removed the old materials leaving us with no clean up & a floor that acts like a floor not a trampoline. As people with little DIY experience & little knowledge of the mysteries of house construction, maintenance & repair, it is very re-assuring & helpful to have someone explain things step by step. The job was completed for a very fair price that matched his quote to the penny. There were no hidden or unexpected costs. Once again, we are delighted with the job Don Cellini carried out. We highly recommend Trustguard & we will be using them for a third job later in the year.

Trustguard quickly diagnosed the cause of my mould problems and recommended the solution of a PIV in my loft, without adding on expensive extras that other companies had recommended. I was impressed by the no frills approach, there was no hard sell of their products & services, just a simple suggested solution, followed by a prompt install. There was an initial delay in communications when trying to contact Don for a quote, but I suspect they are in high demand and once we were in touch, things progressed quickly and smoothly. Don was patient with my numerous questions due to my unfamiliarity with the PIV system, and I'm confident that I made the right decision in choosing Trustguard.

I called TrustGuard as my joiner thought I might have rising damp. Don completed a thorough inspection questioned how often I opened windows, almost never, and ascertained that the problem was condensation, not rising damp. He advised on the correct course of action, the installation of a PIV unit and within a couple of days John came to fit the unit, followed by Steve who connected the unit. Everything was left clean and tidy and the whole operation from start to finish was carried out in the most professional manner. I chose TrustGuard from a search engine as it had the Which accreditation and it is the best thing I could have done. A truly impressive operation.
