About

My name is John Buck and I’m the business owner of Uniglaze Windows Ltd.

As a former joiner I began installing upvc windows and doors, going on to start the business in 1986. We’ve always been an Ilkeston based company and I’m very proud of the fact that as of 2016 we’re enjoying our 30th year of trading.

My son Tom joined the business in 2002. This year I have taken on Zak, who also shares our commitment to producing quality work. Between the three of us, we fit all our own work and by doing so can guarantee a quality job every time. Unlike many other companies, I do not pay so much for fitting a window, door etc, so there is no incentive to rush jobs. We all recognise the fact that happy customers will tell others and so will unhappy ones!

Drawing on over 3 decades of industry experience, I approach clients in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner. I will never out stay my welcome. My visit to your home is typically carried out within about half an hour.

From start to finish Uniglaze were amazing. John came out and gave us a very good quote, and from then, everything went so smoothly. Tom and Zach came and fitted all the new windows, replacement glass panels and stunning new front door. They were all so professional. They were respectful of our house, cleaning and hoovering up everyday. You wouldn’t have known they had been. The windows are great quality and together with the grey composite door, just makes the house look so smart. We had seen their work, and read other reviews, all of which just confirmed that we definitely made the right decision. A trusted and respectable company who I cannot praise enough. We wholeheartedly recommend them. Thank you for a grand job.

We had 54 replacement glass sealed units fitted. Zak and Tom fitted these in two days. Very efficient, very polite and a job excellently done. Fantastic customer service. Thankyou to John too! We would highly recommend uniglaze.

Really pleased with our new windows and doors. From start to finish the company were very professional. They gave great advice, even having samples made up when we couldn’t decide which colour to choose. The work was completed efficiently, with minimal disruption, and everything was left tidy. Having previously used Uniglaze when we needed our French doors replaced, and having been impressed with the whole process, we were very happy in choosing Uniglaze for our replacement doors and windows. From the initial quote, right through to the final installation, we were dealt with courteously and helpfully at every stage. Our quote compared favourably (with no pushy salesmen pestering) and we also knew that there would be a great installation team to fit the windows and doors. The installation went ahead very easily - they arrived promptly, and worked quite quietly and efficiently, with no mess left. I would have no hesitation in recommending Uniglaze to anyone who wants a reliable product and service. I am also very happy to support local businesses for Ilkeston and the area.

We had Uniglaze to replace 3 very old back windows. From start to finish the process and service was exceptional with John coming out to measure up and provide a quote. Tom & Zak fitted our windows and worked none stop from start to finish - we are so pleased with the quality and finish of them and couldn't recommend Uniglaze more highly. They even fully cleaned up after themselves - a dream process, thank you so much!
