United Dorset Pest Control

I have contacted this company on a couple of previous occasions a few years ago. When I heard noises in my loft recently, I didn't hesitate to call them again. They are highly knowledgeable, professional, polite but more importantly, they solved the problem. They are always quick to respond to a call and carry out a thorough inspection. I cannot fault them, rate them very highly and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. The mice in my loft have now packed up and left so I'm a very satisfied customer.

I was recommended Rodger Bennett by another satisfied customer. He responded to my call quickly and efficiently. I outlined the problem: we had a rat / rats under the floorboards. An appointment was made for the following day and Rodger quickly recognised the problem and set about baiting various places. He made certain that I understood what action he was taking and how it would be followed up. True to his word, he arrived on time a week later. He showed me the result of the preparatory work he had done, and was confident that the problem had been resolved. He was at pains to tell me that if there was a continuing issue, he would respond straightaway. I found Rodger extremely approachable: he made me feel relaxed and confident in his skills.

We have used Rodger and Paul at various times over the last nine years. They have helped us with hornets nests, moles, deer and squirrels. A friendly family business who are efficient, knowledgeable and experienced. I can wholeheartedly recommend them.

Rodger and his son Paul came to spray my garage rafters with woodworm treatment. I cannot praise them highly enough, they helped me to move things (that should have been moved before they arrived!) and they worked quickly and efficiently. They were both very lovely people, chatty, friendly.....and hilarious! Would highly recommend their services.

It was back in 2023 now, but Roger and Paul turned up within a very short time after I first contacted them. They are both very friendly and professional and efficiently solved the issues at a very reasonable cost. Once the mouse hotspots and entry points were identified, Paul laid appropriate traps (for example no exposed poison in the kitchen) and returned a few days later to block the entry points. A year later, I asked Paul to return to check on the status and over a couple of days could confidently confirm that there was still no mouse activity. Also, on the first visit they spotted hornets flying around and hunted down a large nest in the shed! They immediately dealt with the problem and the area was safe in a matter of hours. Phew! Thank you Paul and Roger!

Eliminated our Rodent problem swiftly and efficiently, returned to check how treatment was working and returned again to pronounce us clear of rodents. Rang us to check that we were clear of rodents. It was a personal recomendation from a friend that had his problems effeciently dealt with. Would recommend Rodger to anyone with a pest problem. Always on time, and no Invoice until the problem was solved!

Rodger Bennett of United Dorset Pest Control was recommended to me to install a protection system on my newly bought house in Bridport. So i contacted him & he visited my house very quickly to give me his expert advice & to give me a quote on how to stop birds nesting on my roof. I was so impressed with his service, i engaged him to do the work. He did this really quickly by installing Gull Spikes. I thought his service was brilliant in every way & highly recommend his service to anyone in the future. He is very professional in every way & very reasonable for his services. All in all an exceptional businessman.

Roger was absolutely wonderful and as good as his word. Answered phone quickly and understood the problem; explained how he could help and the cost. Phoned in the morning and came round later the same day. Professional and thorough in dealing with the rats. Problem solved quickly and efficiently. Would definitely recommend.

Both Roger and Paul Bennett of "United Dorset Pest Control" were very swift to respond to our request for help despite this request being made over the Christmas and New Year holiday period. Paul (who lives in Dorchester) quickly found the rat's hiding place in the gas cooker (which we had failed to find despite a thorough search) and the very next day both he and his father Rodger (who lives 9 miles away in Weymouth) teased the rat out and dispatched it instantly. They cleaned up meticulously after this and Paul called in to check all was well two days later as the despatched rat may not have been the only one. Their friendly and humorous manner was both reassuring and pleasant and the manner and speed with which they addressed the situation was most professional and competent. My partner's understandable and worrying concerns at the situation were immediately relieved and we would use this company again if we were unlucky enough to have a similar situation in the future. Their fee, which I fully expected to be more than it was because of the holiday period in which they had been summoned, was most reasonable and I would unhesitatingly recommend them for any issue to do with pest control.

I was very pleased with the prompt way that United Dorset Pest Control dealt with my problem. Rodger removed the infestation within two hours of my telephone call asking for advice. His bill was also very reasonable. I would not hesitate to use United Dorset Pest Control in future.

I contacted United Dorset Pest Control for assistance with eradicating a stubborn flea problem in the house. Rodger’s prompt and courteous response set the tone for his dedication and thoroughness in tackling the problem, and in supplying very reasonably priced follow-up treatment as required. I was impressed not only with his professionalism but also his assurance that an invoice would not be issued until the job was completed to my satisfaction. After contacting several other pest controllers I was giving up hope of sorting our bee problem out at work…. Then I found United Dorset pest control .I called and Paul took the call and details and arranged for them to come to the shop.On arrival we realised it was the original Rodger the everyone raves about!! Paul and rodger worked well together and was nice and friendly ,they explained everything so we could understand along the way .We had a big bees nest in the most trickiest of places and it didn’t phase them at all ,They worked well around my staff and customers which was a great help whilst dealing this ! They are extremely knowledgeable in so many areas we all found them both so interesting what they know! Their prices are extremely fair ( compared to others we had used) and the aftercare has been great and the follow up after has been a great comfort .I can highly recommend United dorset pest control Thanks again Rodger & Paul you were great xx

Roger and his son, Paul are second to none. We were fobbed off by another, what we thought were a “local” pest control business only to find out they were nationwide (the problem with the internet nowadays.) I found Roger’s number having been recommended it by other beekeepers from the Beekeepers’ Association and so glad I went through that route. We would have preferred to rehouse the bees but it was not possible as they had already formed a hive inside our working chimney. I phoned Roger on Saturday and he came one hour later. He needed special equipment so came back another hour later and he did all he could that day. He told me his son would return on Monday to fix a mesh wire to the chimney and true to his word, Paul (and Roger) arrived first thing this morning. The job was finished. They fully explained what they had done. Very friendly, very efficient and a great sense of humour! Very reasonable price. Two thirds cheaper than our original quote from the other charlatans. I’ve even managed to bag some honey from the bees he keeps! Win win.

We recently moved to the area and, upon waking on Sunday 23rd June morning, we found that a swarm of bees had established home between the facia and wall of the house. After explaining the situation to various members of the Dorset Bee Keeper's Association, Rodger and Paul (United Dorset Pest Control) were recommended to us; within 2 hours on that Sunday, Rodger had come around & investigated the swarm. We wanted, if at all possible, to save the bees (as did Rodger) so we didn't proceed to any conclusion as we were at that point not able to access where the bees had settled, so we agreed that Rodger or Paul would come back on Monday, which they did. Paul then investigated up the ladder amongst the bees! Again, they could not work out a way of saving them as it was a complicated swarm and revisited until there was no option but to destroy the swarm, much to everyone's sadness. Following this unavoidable event, Paul visited the house several times to ensure that the bees had been, sadly, destroyed, all at no extra cost. Unbelievably, as the icing on the cake, we found a wasps nest on Saturday 2nd July so contacted Paul, who came around the following day. He established where the wasps were coming in, came back on Monday and destroyed the wasp's nest. We cannot recommend United Dorset Pest Control more highly; they are warm, caring professionals demonstrating all the attributes that only a small family run business can. Their knowledge and genuine care is exemplary.

This company Paul and his family are very efficient. They came and sorted my mining bee problem. Discussed the problem explained the solution including any health and safety for my dog and grandson and carried the work out as arranged. Even when it was over many days. Pricing was very reasonable. I would recommend them for all your pest issues and your peace of mind.

When I first rang Rodger he replied immediately, and his son Paul visited the next day. Paul did a very thorough check of the two lofts and other places in the house where there was evidence of rats and ensured that rat pellets were placed in strategic places. After the first visit, I had a call a few days later to check that everything was OK. There have been three visits with Rodger and Paul, who are both very professional in their work and very knowledgable about rats and how they behave. They did a thorough investigation of the outside of the house, and identified the areas where the rats were entering the house, and have now sealed the entrances. It is early days, but I am hopeful that the problem has been solved. I am very grateful to Rodger and Paul, and would recommend them for any pest control issues. I will certainly go straight to them if I have any further issues, with rats or any other pests. Thank you both for your friendly and excellent service, you are a great team!

We called Rodger to investigate suspected bed bugs. He and Paul managed to fit us in on the same day of us calling. Once on site they did a thorough inspection of the house including taking one bed apart and checking carpets , skirting boards and bedding. They found nothing, so gave us the 'all clear'. Excellent, knowledgable and fast service and we weren't charged as no remedial work was carried out. Thoroughly recommended.

Paul and Rodger were quick to survey the area and provide advice on next steps and options available. Paul was able to use his skills as a carpenter to access under the floors and decking to check for problems and returning it to its previous state! Happy to recommend, very helpful, good communication and know their stuff!

Rodger and Paul are two of the nicest guys you could ever wish to meet. We had a terrible bee issue in our building and had been fobbed off by two other pest control companies when we found United Dorset Pest Control. I can not recommend Rodger and Paul enough. They are extremely knowledgeable in all things pest related. From the first visit there was a clear plan in tackling the issue and they did so in a quick and efficient manner, for a very reasonable price... and to top it off they have the best sense of humour, I almost want another pest issue now so that they can come back!

I have called on this family-run business twice in three years relating to separate issues. Both times the response has been immediate, friendly, skilled and thorough. Most recently, Paul even came out on Christmas Eve to be certain no further action was needed and to reassure me he would come out immediately in the event of any recurrence which I am delighted to say has not been necessary. Paul attended my home right before Christmas when the family were due to arrive. Can you imagine a worse moment to find a rodent in your home?! I was hugely grateful that he arrived quickly the same afternoon, at the exact time he said he would. My problem was resolved quickly and Paul returned 3 times to check for any further activity. He took photographs and clearly explained his findings. He is very knowledgeable and thorough. He listened and took on board my concerns and encouraged me to text or call if I was worried between visits. One set price for all visits and contacts, even at the weekend. Would recommend to everyone!
