Valley Roofing is a friendly family run business we have been in the industry since 1983. Customer care, reliability, quality of work and value for money is what we pride ourselves on.
Formed in 1983 as S.Kavanagh roofing (sole trader) the business has since progressed and enlarged and in 2007 formed as Valley Roofing UK LTD. With 30+ years experience it gives us the best possible understanding of solving all your roofing needs. With the added benefit of photographic evidence provided.
Valley Roofing carry full public liability insurance and offer material and labour guarantees where applicable.

Valley Roofing is exceptional, they answered my initial call promptly and agreed to visit. Within 2 hours Shaun turned up and surveyed the roofs. We live in an old (late 18c) listed building in a conservation area but this didn't bother Shaun who felt he could match the tiles, up to 50 of which would need replacing. An estimate arrived 2 days later and the work was completed within 10 days. Chris carried out the work, he was very competent and quick. He was also very helpful in removing some wisteria from the guttering. Throughout my dealings with Valley Roofing I have been very impressed by their professionalism, helpfulness and friendliness. Their attention to the highest levels of customer service builds confidence in their clients that they are in safe hands. This was a small job, efficiently and competently carried out for a reasonable cost and within a realistic timescale, by friendly and helpful people at all levels, one could not ask for more. After a thorough roof survey carried out by Valley Roofing UK we engaged them to take on the complete roof replacement of our large detached, beautiful period house which has a real mix of dormer and gabled windows within the roof space plus a turret, several decorative clay end tiles and a flat roof in the middle with a skylight. We liked and trusted Shaun, boss of Valley Roofing UK from the outset. His knowledge, accreditations and helpful suggestions with no pressure whatsoever helped us decide together with their very competitive quote. We had new membranes, battens, tiles (the new turret looks amazing and they managed to refit the existing finial) and up-to-date insulation and a few other things such as repointing the chimney, repairing the skylight and replacing some rotten wood. The skilled team are reliable, polite and worked hard every day, keeping all areas clean and tidy as they went along in addition to dealing with numerous wasps nests but taking everything in their stride. Shaun was always quick to respond to our questions... the whole team, including Jenny in the office, were a pleasure to work with. We can't thank them enough for such a beautiful new roof, we are extremely satisfied and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Valley Roofing UK renewed the tiles, battens and membrane (felt) on our detached property in January 2019. We had seen the quality of their work on a nearby roof, and liked their approach and the end result. The firm impressed us as we discussed our project, with their experience and approach. We bought into their promise to deliver an excellent result, but also their interest in being very well organised in doing so. By being so diligent in their own arrangements, they took all the stress that could have been ours to cope with, right off our shoulders: when they said something would happen, it did: skip delivery, material delivery and the team's attendance and progress. The team were all a pleasure to have around, very skilful and very careful to tidy up each day and also at the end of the job. The quality of the new roof is well beyond our expectations. It has enhanced our home, and was a very good move. Employing Valley Roofing UK was an even better move. This is one excellent firm.

We can't recommend this company highly enough! They attended quickly, identified the cause of a leak, which other contractors had failed to find, then returned and fixed it. Whilst on site, they cleaned all the gutters and made great suggestions for small improvements which helped water drain more effectively. Really helpful staff who explain everything clearly and checked that we were happy before proceeding.

Valley Roofing had to replace the tiles on the south facing roof, including the turret above the bay window. They were contactable and turned up on time, despite having to travel to the south coast each day. They knew exactly the style of tile to match my existing roof tiles, which are old and dis-coloured. They cleared the site quickly when the job was done and left it clean and tidy. The roof looks better than it has ever done. A builder, working on an extension next door, commented that the roofers did an excellent job of work because he was watching them throughout. They really knew their trade, he said. I'd thoroughly recommend them and won't hesitate to use them again, if necessary.

A leak in our bedroom ceiling. Over a period of two years I had several roofing people to find and repair the fault but to no avail. Eventually, after much research and reading reviews, I asked Valley Roofing to take a look and quote. This was done promptly with great courtesy and the quote seemed fair. I liked Shaun Kavanagh immediately; he listened very carefully to all I had to tell him. He then carried out an inspection taking photos of what he found. The problem appeared to be the valley gutter. After going through the same process with 2 other roofing people, I finally asked Shaun to carry out the work. A date was set and Shaun and his colleague arrived but the forecast was so bad that we decided to postpone for that day and set a new date. Unfortunately, at the last minute, due to a family bereavement, Shaun was unable to come on the new date but Ben and another colleague came but I was asked first if I agreed they could do the work or if I would prefer to wait for Shaun, I trusted Shaun so agreed they could go ahead. Ben and his colleague again were very polite and got on with the work which they carried out quietly leaving everything clean and tidy. They took photos of before, during and after. I could not fault them. This was in July 2017 and despite some very heavy rain since, all seems well. In fact I have had the ceiling stain and small hole repaired and redecorated and replaced two pieces of stained wallpaper. I never had the confidence to do that before! I thoroughly recommend Shaun and his crew especially since they do cover the work with a guarantee. Shaun's wife Jenny also works for them and she is very friendly and easy to talk to. I know that if all was not well they would respond immediately. I would not hesitate to call them in again if there was a problem elsewhere with our roof.
