I would just like to say I had just bought a new house and gave the keys to Vears to decorate! I came and seen it when he had finished and it looked fantastic! Really the best company to go with!

I have used Vear's Decorating several times. Rich is a perfectionist who provides excellent advice of what needs to be done and the best materials for the particular job. Estimates are provided quickly and have been accurate on each occasion. When required Rich has access to other tradesman (plasters, electricians etc.) all of whom provide the same excellent standards as Rich himself. In short Rich is reliable and provides great advice, which coupled with Rich's attention to detail and perfectionist standards means you always end up with a fantastic result in the timeframe promised.

Richard recently painted the front of my Victorian end of terrace house and I couldn't be happier with the final results. I had asked for an unusual colour, that was no longer available and Richard was patient and helpful in helping me choose an alternative colour. The job took three days and each stage was All aspects of the job were clearly communicated e.g. when scaffolding would come up and down, when he would start and finish etc. And I did feel he 'went the extra mile' to deal with any extra issues that arose, such as tieing up wiring. I had also asked if he could preserve the grey mortar next to the stonework ie paint up to it and not over it. He was happy to do this. I would thoroughly recommend Vears Decorating Ltd.

Our kitchen and dining room has been redecorated and looks superb. Richard visited and gave us advice on the work required and the best materials for the job. He coordinated the removal of the old paper, the replastering (done by another trader) and the repainting. It was all carried out efficiently and quickly with the minimum of fuss.. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Richard made it all very easy considering virtually everythiong in the house was moved and the end result is excellent. Such thorough preparation of the walls and huge cracks has made the end result very pleasing. Nothing was too much trouble, taking down a bed and lampshades that I couldn't reach or do, and even putting them back up again. Very neat and tidy workers. I can thoroughly recommend Vears Decorating to anyone. It is always good to be able to use local tradesmen. Such hard workers and a pleasure to have around.

Richard decorated two bedrooms and a bathroom for me. Having work done in your home is always a little daunting, but Richard explained beforehand exactly how they were going to go about the process and kept me up to date with progress. Richard made everything very straightforward, even moving a bed (which I hadn’t been able to manage) and was extremely thoughtful and conscientious. They arrived punctually and I hardly knew they were there, they worked so hard each day, barely seeming to stop for lunch, and completed the work ahead of schedule leaving everything clean and tidy. I can’t say that there were really any glitches, except that the paint colour I had chosen was no longer in stock. Richard went out of his way to get additional samples and to make sure that I was truly happy with the colour eventually chosen. I was! This was a truly great service. Job was done beautifully without any stress. I would certainly recommend.

Richard and his team fully decorated our two bedroom property before we moved in. He was very helpful when it came to suggesting finishes on the colours that we had chosen. The job was completed on time and we are delighted with the final result. I would definitely use Vears again and recommend them highly.

Richard had been working at our neighbours on the exterior during in the summer and we had noticed their efficient and organised approach with thorough preparation and high quality finishing. Vears were asked to quote for some work with us and this was quickly managed and acceptable. The internal work progressed very efficiently and thoroughly, whilst keeping disruption to us using the house to a minimum. They cleared up very well at the end of each working day. We are delighted with the outcome and look forward to their return in the spring/summer to undertake some external redecoration.

Vears undertook a complete interior re-painting job for us. Richard has a real eye for detail, was patient when we were indecisive over colour choices, completed the job to a very high standard and always left our house as clean as could possibly be expected during an ongoing project. You get what you pay for, and we considered the service to be good value given the quality of finish. Highly recommended!

From the moment we called in Richard to give us a quote for hall, stairs landing and a large bedroom everything went smoothly and to plan. We were able to leave him in charge of the house on the days we had to go out. He arrived on the chosen day at 8.00am sharp and worked solidly each day. He kept us fully informed with regard to what would happen next so that we could "keep out of his way". He took a great deal of trouble to keep carpets etc. properly protected and cleared up each and every night before he went home. All in all it was an exceptionally good experience and the finished job looks wonderful. Richard is a true craftsman with a great eye for detail. Having just had a brand new kitchen fitted we asked Richard, at Vears, to decorate. He visited, quoted, suggested a date and duration for the work. Here we are , work done to a high standard and on time. What was so refreshing was the excellent communication, his tidy and considerate approach to the work and good old fashioned pride in their work. I highly recommend.

Richard and Max decorated my two story house top to bottom (barring one room that I had completed). Richard provided a detailed quote with options. He was very flexible and supportive when I wanted to extend the scope of the job. He and Max were a complete pleasure to have working in the property and were very tidy and made a point of leaving it clean and orderly. They are both hugely skillful, knowledgeable and work quietly but at pace. I'm very happy with the result, they have transformed a tired house into a beautiful happy one that now wears a smile on its face and sings with joy! Richard even delivered the key to the flooring company who were coming in after them. I recommend them with confidence.

This complete redecoration of two storey hall, stairs, landings and the kitchen was completed to the highest standard and in a timely manner. From my first meeting with Richard his exceptional knowledge, experience and attention to detail was very evident. It is also obvious that he enjoys his work and takes great pride in doing the best job he can. He, together with Max, has done an absolutely superb job in my home. Redecoration of interior of 5 bedroom property. Work completed to a high standard, on time and in line with the original quote. I was working from home throughout and things were arranged as necessary from day to day to keep the disruption to a minimum. Richard and Max were both really friendly and happy to talk through the day's progress. We're really pleased with the results and are glad we chose to get it done.

Richard has recently completed external work on my house, painting all exterior walls and windows. He and Max were a pleasure to have around. Richard is honest, straightforward, friendly and does a high quality job. He also did all sorts of small additional jobs which I didn't expect, such as cleaning all the windows once he'd finished painting, and fixing some lead flashing. The final invoice was slightly higher than estimated due to the need to apply additional coats of paint (to achieve colour coverage), but I was happy with this and Richard communicated well on it. I had no hesitation in trusting him with access to the house in my absence. They took great care of all areas of the house and I'm very pleased with the end result. I'll definitely be asking Richard to come back for future jobs.

Richard has now finished decorating the interior of our house (apart from the bathroom, which will be done after its re-fit), an extended job in several stages over the past year. We have had no hesitation in allowing him access if we have been away (which made decorating the kitchen easier for everyone). All his work has been excellent; he comes when he says he will, is unfailingly considerate of our requirements, advises us when necessary, and leaves the work area spotless when he finishes.

I asked Vears to decorate our bedroom a few months ago, they did such a great job that I asked them to come back and decorate our living room, kitchen and hallway. I found Richard and his colleague Tom to be very personable, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Richard was very honest and professional during his initial assessment of the job, he also came up with some great ideas and was very supportive of all our requests throughout the work. Everything was completed on time and to a very high standard. I would definitely recommend Vears if you're thinking of having some decorating done.
