The work covered electrical check on the property, replacing spotlights and putting in new lighting in other rooms as well as new electrical sockets. Kieran, Will and John were professional and friendly throughout as well as very responsive and knowledgeable. They also had to work around decorators who were finishing off some work and were happy to do so. Would highly recommend.

This company was taken on by a builder to review existing lighting to a ceiling that had to be replaced. Even though I had at first accepted all was ok, on review the following day I was not happy with set up. The builder who is also Which? accredited spent time to understand my exact requirements. The electrician was contacted and Will returned to correct in a short space of time. Throughout Will was very professional and friendly. Would undoubtedly recommend this company for your every electrical needs.

Our kitchen/living room lights were tripping and we couldn't figure out why. Looked up local WTT - found W5 Electrical. Left a message for Kieran. Quick response asking for details/photos etc. Agreed price. Wasn't optimistic that anyone would be able to help the same day - especially on a Friday. But Will called beforehand to check if OK to visit. Will and John arrived. Identified the problem. Fixed it. Fixed another problem we mentioned too. Also flagged up that smoke detectors had 1 year to go before they needed replacing (who knew?) Really nice team. Friendly. Polite. Tidied up. Really impressed.

W5 Electrical undertook provision of a new consumer unit, rewiring of two rooms and several other electrical tasks at my family’s home. The work was quite complex, necessitating three separate visits to coordinate with other building trades, over a period of about two months. Having spoken to a number of electrical companies and receiving quotes I decided to go with w5 Electrical for a complete rewire of a house I'd just bought. At a potentially very stressfull time, Kieran made life very easy for me, taking his time to explain the job clearly and outline my options. He even managed my various changes of mind with good humour and without complaint! He was very knowldgeable and I felt I could rely on his expertise and advice. Kieran and his team have done an excellent job on renovating the lighting for a Japanese courtyard garden in Chelsea. The original system was poorly designed and installed over ten years ago. Kieran came up with some work arounds to the original system with altered systems and more modern lights, which saved a considerable amount compared to a completely new system installation. He also installed a new water pump for the fountain. The house interior lighting also needed a lot of attention as many lights were failing with dangerous overheating apparent. Kieran and his team diagnosed the problems and we now have an interior lighting system which works. We have had many experiences with tradesmen in Chelsea and they have invariably been awful. Kieran and his lads are a great find for us and we will be using them again in the spring to overhaul the house sound system and security cameras.

We hired W5 Electrical Ltd to do all the electrical work as part of the renovation of our new kitchen and they were brilliant from start to finish. On the first day we met Kieran, we went through everything we wanted and in turn, he gave us lots of advice & suggestions which proved to be invaluable to the overall finish. As the project got under way, we met his team, Will and Ben, who were lovely and extremely considerate to us and the builders around them. Throughout the 4 month project, the team were reliable, conscientious and friendly and we were very happy to find that the job came in at our original quote with no hidden extras... brilliant!

The job was at my workplace and because it was urgent, I had a customer present. The electrician was very considerate of the situation and caused minimal disruption, so the job was done quickly and efficiently and I barely noticed he was there. Kieran and his team completed some excellent work for us removing some dangerous external wiring and installing security lighting previously so when I had a more urgent need to replace a dropped spotlight and faulty switch that was causing havoc, Kieran was the first person I called. As always, he and his brilliant team arrived to sort the problem swiftly. When they encountered an issue with the wiring, they worked tirelessly, until late on a Friday night, to ensure it was all fixed in time for the weekend. I have used W5 Electrical twice on two properties I manage: the first job was t o first smoke alarms throughout a 4 Bedroom House, the second to source and fit a new fan in a bathroom. On both occasions I received excellent service for Kieran and then members of his team. I recommend W5 Electrical.

Kieran came and quoted for all new kitchen lighting: 2 long ceiling tracks with spots and 3 runs of LED strips under wall cabinets; and for 2 PIR outside lights to illuminate the side passageway. Will and Ben arrived on time and fitted the outside lights - angles, height etc all perfect to light the full length of the passage. Then Kieran joined Will and Ben to sort out the kitchen. There was a problem with the old wiring and they had to run a new cable between ceiling and switch - all done very neatly. They even cut and fitted plasterboard circles to fill the holes left from removing large old downlighters. Initially the new worktop lighting cast a shadow along the edge of the worktops, but they repositioned the LED strips to resolve that. All three were very pleasant, polite, clean and tidy. They cleared up perfectly - my kitchen floor was cleaner at the end than when they arrived! I would not hesitate to use them again, and would highly recommend this company.

Kieran and Ben came to fit HIVE heating control for an elderly couple who were feeling a bit chilly with the arrival of the cooler autumn temperature. They could not work out how to control their heating system. After Kieran's and Ben's work, the couple are absolutely delighted to feel warm again. They can control the temperature easily from their armchairs using the HIVE phone app. Thank you for being so courteous and responsive - most impressive. We needed to have a large chandelier light fitted in our living room and Kieran came round to fix it within a few hours notice! We emailed W5 Electrical in the morning as we had a faulty bathroom mirror light which was whirring and overheating even though it was switched off. Kieran came around to discuss garden lighting and made some very good suggestions, and was flexible when I decided on a small change. Will and Ben were careful not to harm my plants and could not finish the whole job in a day because I had to go abroad, but they & Kieran came back promptly after I returned, and I am very happy with the result! Like a previous reviewer, I had a broken bathroom light. The pull cord had snapped. I left a message on Keiron's phone on Friday evening. He responded on Monday morning and asked me to send him a photograph via my mobile phone of the light fitting. On that basis, he came with a replacement fitting which he had acquired before he came to our house, installed it without delay and sorted out another minor problem with a bathroom extractor fan, all within an hour and for no extra charge. Excellent service. We will be using him for another job. Highly recommended.

Kieran replied quickly to my enquiry and arranged for his colleague Nik to come round to sort out a few issues with the outside lighting. Nik couldn't have been more helpful and solved all the problems on the list, plus some others he uncovered that needed sorting. W5 did a good job installing power and lighting for a garden workshop in 2016. When I have had questions on maintenance since then, Kieran has always been responsive, interested and helpful and provided good clear advice.

I urgently needed a fuse box and associated RCD installation compliant with current requirements to be carried out by a deadline in order to facilitate a property sale. Kieran Keegan was recommended to me and he very obligingly carried out the necessary work promptly and to my satisfaction, as well as providing a requisite certificate of compliance, and in good time to meet the said deadline.

Pull cord light switches broke leaving a bathroom and a hall dark with a weekend of visitors due and very limited time to fix the problem. Kieran and colleague sorted it swiftly (and matched the only time slot I was available due to my own work commitments). I was well impressed. Timely, courteous, helpful and at a fair price.

I contacted W5 Electrical and more specifically Kieran to install a Nest thermostat at my new house. Having struggled to get a response from some other recommended companies, Kieran got in touch immediately and was able to come to my house immediately to assess the work and the cost. Following on from that Kieran then came to do the work a week later. The job was carried out with total professionalism, quickly and tidily and I am extremely pleased with the end result. I will be using W5 and Kieran again in the near future for another job that I have and I would have no hesitation in recommending him again in the future.

We were very impressed by Kieran as he quickly assessed our electrical situation concerning two faulty electric sockets which had caused one of our trip switches to go off until the emergency electrician had secured our sockets by inspecting them and screwing them securely to the wall. After that our electrical items were able to work for the past two weeks and Kieran said that being the case he recommended that it would no longer be necessary to test the circuit that previously had led to the operation of the trip switch as recommended by the emergency electrician. We appreciated his honest appraisal and that he did not charge for his visit so we will be very happy to use him if we have any further electrical problems in future.

A short circuit was tripping half our circuit box so very difficult to isolate the problem. W5 responded to our emergency call within an hour even though they were very busy. Kieran, now aka Sherlock, took 15 minutes to detect and correct the problem. W5 Electricians are competent, efficient and reliable.

We invited Kieran to restore the upstairs lighting which had ceased to work. He effectively identified the issues involved in a professional manner and kept us informed at all times. His level of communication was very good. We appreciated his clear explanations and the fact that he and his team focused on our issues even though they took a few days to resolve. He also changed some of the lighting in the kitchen and again dealt with any matters arising promptly and efficiently. We also appreciated the way covers and dust sheets were used and the clearing up process after the jobs.

This is the second time we’ve used Kieran & his brilliant team. The first time was to install a garden lighting system, which has helped transform our small courtyard garden space. This second time was to install a large vintage glass chandelier, which weighed over 40kg, so safety, care and attention to detail were an absolute must. W5’s Nick came round and put up a couple of ceiling light fittings in no time. He was friendly, professional and efficient. Even to the point of wanting to sweep up the floor that was messy before he came!

Kieran installed down-lighters in my flat, which was not entirely straightforward but he dealt with it efficiently and in a very honest manner. While he was working on this job, Kieran also spotted that I needed new smoke detectors and fitted those too. We had his estimate for the work later the same day. He was able to schedule the work quickly despite the awful weather which prevented any external work on day one. However Nick was able to complete the internal jobs. He was very helpful, charming and cleaned up any mess. With the snow having melted Nick was able to come back with Will (the apprentice ) to complete the external work in a morning. The same afternoon Kieran came to check that we were happy with the work which we found a nice touch, particularly as he was dealing with the fact that one of his vans had been broken into overnight and some tools stolen. Nick came to do a variety of jobs, all of which were done well. He was also extremely polite and cleared up well. I contacted Kieran (the boss?) a couple of days afterwards as I was concerned about a light fitting that'd been installed. Nick came to look at it the same day (great customer service) and there was nothing wrong with it - my misunderstanding! There are cheaper electricians out there but you get what you pay for. For me, it's definitely worth paying a bit more for good work and service.

The job, wiring a couple of light switches, was relatively straightforward but importantly Kieran turned up promptly did the job quickly and cleanly for a very reasonable price. My initial contact was made at 2.15pm and was followed by a call from Keiron fifteen minutes later. The simple job was to replace a burnt out 20 amp double pole switch to an electric cooker. John arrived 45 minutes later, fitted the switch and set the cooker clock to 3.40pm. Job done within one and a half hours from first contact. John was polite, personable and tidy. Kieran was very quick to respond to my request for help with an electrical fault. He was friendly, informative and very careful to ensure that nothing in the house got damaged. I will use Kieran again and have no doubts about recommending him.

Installation of fused spur and multi-function wall box to deliver HDMI, aerial and network services to wall mounted TV. This involved making good plaster work ready for decorator. It was an urgent requirement as the decorator was already booked when I decided to have the electrical work done as an after thought. W5 were able to meet my time scale demands and did an excellent job. Replacement of external LED flood light (20 feet up from ground level). This involved two visits, first to get the existing LED fitting down so I could see if it could be fixed. Second visit to install a replacement LED flood light. A small job but one that W5 were willing to undertake at a reasonable price and in a timely fashion.

I have no hesitation in recommending this trader. Kieran and his colleague Nik have now done 2 different jobs for me. The first - garden lighting - was first discussed and then carried out with imagination and attention to detail. The result is terrific and has totally transformed the garden. The second job involved painstakingly checking previously unsatisfactory work to meet the appropriate standard but with a sensible approach that was cost-effective. They worked quickly, kept in contact and cleaned and tidied up brilliantly.

I'm not sure if the small nature of the job (fitting two dimmer switches) led to disinterest from the business, but I felt like my request was not taken seriously. The originally scheduled visit was changed at least once, which I did not object to at the time. Kieran and one other man turned up, and did not park their van legally. From this I surmise they did not intend to stay, and the other man stood by my living room window watching out for traffic wardens, which I did not like. When I have two new workmen in my home I like to keep them under surveillance, and the work was in the hallway. I was told that the dimmer switches could not be fitted because my electrics were not grounded. This is a new flat to me, and I have never dealt with home maintenance before, so this was new information. I said I would also want a new oven fitted, could he do it, he said "Possibly". I really thought there was something wrong with my flat, and was very embarrassed he could not do the work, I had wasted his time, so I insisted he take something for the advice. He suggested £30 and I gave it to him. I subsequently contacted another local company, from Which? Trusted Traders. They arrived and parked their van legally, they were in no rush to leave. They told me the electricity, though old, was grounded, they said it was in the conduit, and they could, and did, fit dimmer switches. Admittedly plastic ones, but Kieran had told me they just could not be fitted. This other company fitted the oven, put a new bathroom light switch in, and two new wall lights, all quietly and efficiently.

Kieran and has team have now done two jobs for me. Their work is absolutely excellent and they are the nicest guys - hard working, polite and always on time. I cannot recommend them enough. Completely trusthworthy and extremely professional. I am chuffed to have finally found a top electrician. Number firmly saved on my phone for the next time I need one!
