I asked Matthew to provide a quote to resolve an isolated damp patch in my 1930s home. He assessed the extent of the issue, inside and out, then advised that the problem was water penetration from a dripping gutter and poor pointing and sealant around a bay window. I got nothing but clear and honest advice and knew exactly what I needed to do to resolve what I feared was going to be a costly problem. His approach was a significant contrast to another 'reputable' company that wanted to inject a damp treatment and replace a large area of plaster. The massive bonus was that Matthew's time was freely given.

We have a problem with groundwater entering our house foundations. I had unsuccessfully tried several local builders to come and suggest/quote for a remedy to the situation, but to no avail. I phoned Watertight Homes and had an appointment for a survey within a week. Mathew arrived at the time agreed and after inspecting the situation recommended that we did not need to have any work done. We could leave well alone as there would be no ill effects on our house. This was a great relief to my wife and I. His open and frank explanation, with no pressure to invent a reason for a possibly costly repair, was simple and easy to understand. We were also not charged for the time he spent with us. A truly honest and open company. I would recommend Watertight Homes to anybody who has a damp/water entry problem in their dwelling.

We had this company out to review a possible damp problem. The man that came was honest and advised we did have damp but damp proofing would not help he gave us tips on how to resolve this all services that he could not provide himself. We had a quote by another company the week before quoting £650 for a problem that didn’t exist! Would definitely recommend and will use in the future if we have any further issues

Came promptly to cure our two small damp problems. Very polite workmen. Matthew came out straight away when I didn't understand the process and explained everything satisfactorily. He was very reassuring and even got his staff to do some work at no extra cost. Matthew phoned to make sure all was completed correctly.

We had problems with damp appearing on walls and floor. We contacted a firm previously who diagnosed rising damp - a huge problem and quoted £5,000 to correct it, depending on what they found once the work started. He did a thorough inspection inside and out and concluded it was a serious internal leak. He suggested contacting our plumber and also our insurance company. Matthew was professional, friendly and did not make any charge for his service. We have since had the leak repaired and have had the problem assessed by our insurance company. Unfortunately, the problem is serious, but the correct diagnosis by Matthew saved us a lot of unnecessary work and expense. We have no hesitation in recommending Watertight Homes Limited.
