A brilliant service from start to finish. They took down 3 large conifers & another tree plus bushes & arrived on time, were very efficient & left the garden clean & tidy. I would highly recommend them as they had great communication, & the price was good with no hidden costs. I had other quotes but not a patch on these guys & certainly would use them again.

Very good price for cutting back three trees. Both guys were very friendly, professional and efficient. Very efficient team, worked fast and hard reducing my big trees. It was a very hot day too. Also left my drive almost totally clear - and not easy as a gravel drive so a bit of a pain picking up any small bits. Very happy with the professional service provided.

West Country Tree Services did a great job for us in removing two tall Holly Trees from our front garden. This started with the quotation, offering options to reduce, remove, grind stumps, booking the date and on site work. They cleaned up the lawn well afterwards. The cost was about what we would expect and the work was completed to the agreed cost. The men were courteous and professional.

Contacted Daniel at West Country Trees as we were let down by another well known tree surgeon in the area. He was professional and friendly providing a detailed estimate within 2 days. Catrin, the office manager kept us fully up to date with the proposed works and even managed to bring the date forward by a week. The team of 6 were punctual, helpful, considerate and friendly. Particular care had to be taken as we have a chicken house directly underneath the tree and access to it was limited. Everything was removed leaving the area tidy when they had finished. The invoice was exactly the same as the estimate which was very fair in view of the amount of manual labour involved. A big thank you to the whole team at West Country Trees and more than happy to recommend them.

Needed four large trees removed, two pruning back, and other large shrubs and vegetation clearing prior to demolition work. Also the complications of a conservation area and area of outstanding natural beauty. They advised on additional planning permissions required and fixed those. Good communication. Excellent team did the work as agreed, checking we were happy. Done to the agreed price and value for money.

West Country Tree Services pruned our garden tree exactly as we wanted it. After making a start the team checked that we were satisfied with level and completed the job in short order. Cleared away all the debris and made a tidy job.

Having heard that the lead time was around six weeks, when one of our trees fell across our driveway and became entangled in the conifer opposite, we were concerned that the drive would be obstructed for some time as it happened in the Christmas break. However when the team returned after their break, they were able to arrange a very swift response. The work was done efficiently and the site was left clean enough for normal use to resume immediately. Thank you to all involved!

The team turned up promptly and did a quite excellent job for us. We needed the dense epicormic growth on three large lime trees removed. Both men were friendly, responsive to our requests, efficient, amazingly quiet (they used mostly handsaws), and left the garden looking tidier than it has been for long time!

We had a large tree stump completely removed from our back garden, from beginning to end Catrin ensured that everything ran smoothly. Ben and Cameron arrived at the time and date as arranged and carried out the stump removal in a very professional and friendly manner, they did a great job and left the garden very clean and tidy. We were extremely happy with the way that the job was done from beginning to end and I would not hesitate to use them again in the future, and I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing any tree work done.

This company was requested to trim high beech hedges and remove overgrown elder tree. They carried out this work to my great satisfaction on the day specified and on budget. Their operatives are clearly skilled and experienced. They were also very careful to clean up the garden after they had completed the task. I have had them do work for me on previous occasions and will not hesitate to employ them again in the future when the need arises.

We required removal of a tree, shrub and stump grinding. The initial contact was easy and appointment to do the job booked to meet our requirement. The job itself was done on time efficiently and very tidily. We cannot fault the work done.

I have been dealing with this firm since 2014 when I met Daniel Potter for the first time. He knows his job, and certainly someone I could trust to look after my garden of trees. This time I had a lot that needed doing, from removal , to the pruning of my nearly 60 year old Magnolia, and even older Birch tree in the back garden. When the work was completed, all was left neat and tidy, and the nesting birds in the Lilac trees, were not disturbed. Once again, I would recommend this group of Tree Surgeons to anyone who loves, and appreciates their Trees!

The young man did an excellent job, he was very helpful and careful as tech equipment had to be carried through the house. The site was left clean and tidy.

All chippings and residue from cutting the tree down, was removed from site You cannot tell a tree was ever there, they covered over the removed stump site too. Price was less than expected. Cut down three small trees, raised a beech canopy and lopped overhanging branches. Arrived on time and worked quickly and efficiently. Cleared up after themselves and left the site clean. Very pleased with their work.

We had been recommended to this trader. The quote was competitive and he sent drawings showing the work agreed. Staff arrive on time, very pleasant and obviously competent. Work completed in a single day, the site was tidied, brushed and logs cut to size as requested - neatly stacked too

The team were very professional cutting back a row of Leylandii that were blocking light into our garden. They made sure I was happy throughout the work and left the site clean and tidy. The quoted price was very reasonable.

I had some very high and thick Leylandii trees at the bottom of my garden cut down and the stumps ground down to below earth level. The work was delayed not due to any fault on the part of this company but because of the coronavirus! On the schedule was agreed the workers arrived on time and made a superb job of the task in hand. They were very careful of the rest of my garden and cleaned up perfectly after they had finished. I would have no reservations about recommending this company to anyone wanting to have any tree work done. This is the second time I have employed this company to do tree work for me and I am sure there will be a third occasion.

West Country Tree Services removed an overgrown Hazel tree and its stump. They had a handy small stump grinder that they could bring through the house as we have no separate garden access. They were professional, courteous, tidy and efficient. The work took an hour or two. The job was done to a quoted price.

I was very impressed with the work carried out by West Country tree services and I will certainly be using them again in the future. I requested a quote for the removal of two trees. I then had to request that the work was carried out quickly as it hindered other work that I needed done due to the storm. Catrin was very helpful and managed to fit the removal of the two trees in quickly and the two men who carried out the work were polite, friendly and extremely efficient. They did the work in a few hours and removed all branched etc with no trace of a mess. A fantastic job. A few weeks later we arranged a date for the crown reduction of my large willow tree and a reduction of my bat tree. Again the two men who carried out the work were extremely friendly and very hard working and again no trace of the work was left. All 4 men representing the company were an asset to the company and I cannot praise them enough. Finally the price was less than I was expecting and I was more than happy with the quotes. I had a very overgrown hedge/shrub border that needed to be hard pruned back. Also, a large acer that needed to be topped and shaped by 25-30%. Having had trouble getting a serious quote from others I was not hopeful when asking for a quote from Westcountry Tree Services; I needn't have worried. They came round very promptly and I had a fully prepared and written quote, with photographs (no one else took photos), within 15 minutes. The quote was very competitive and they could do the work within a couple of weeks. On the day they turned up on time, were courteous and friendly and were keen to make sure that I was going to get what I wanted. They did a good job and tidied up well afterwards. A big plus is that there is an employed admin person who makes sure that you are not left waiting for a response to any issues. I would definitely recommend them and they will be my first port of call in the future for similar work.

We engaged West Country Tree Services to manage a tree which was shading our greenhouse. Daniel responded promptly to our request for a quote and during his visit suggested various management approaches with their appropriate pros, cons and costs. We decided upon a complete removal and the quote arrived within minutes. When the team arrived on the appointed day they introduced themselves and undertook a survey of the site and access routes. Very quickly they started work and were extremely impressive in the way in which their method soon completed the felling. The subsequent clean up was thorough and quick. One pane of the greenhouse was broken and after one 'phone call compensation was paid in cash. Altogether a super job and great result.

The team arrived very punctually and were very polite. The work was carried out as described and agreed on the initial consultation. We've used WCTSL previously and they’ve done a fantastic job each time. On 17th Jan 2019 the two Guys were excellent and certainly know their stuff. They were due 8.30 am and we’re here well before to start on the dot. Some of the upper branches cut away were at least 12 feet high. Our tree looks great and even with 30% reduction we still have a lovely Silver Birch drooping shape. Very efficient service and all branches mulched on site with great machinery to do this... everything was cleared away and left neat and tidy. Highly recommend this Company and it’s team.

They are clearly very successful as it was not possible to schedule the work for a short time but, having agreed a date, they came as promised and did the work rapidly and effectively. Daniel's team arrived and completed the work within an hour. Cleared up so not a twig was left and even cut the main trunk into 600mm logs for my neighbour so they could use them for wood carving.

Daniel came on the date agreed and he and his mate removed the two trees, ground out the stumps and tidied up, all in about an hour. When they left there was not so much as a single twig left on the lawn. At the price they quoted (lower than everyone else) it was great value for a great job. Daniel and his team spent 3 days changing our garden from over grown with bushes, brambles and trees to a blank canvas. Over 20 trees (leylandii) were cut down, with the stumps removed, all waste removed. The brambles and bushes had been partly removed by us, however Daniel and his team then mulched what was left and the roots. Great team, would highly recommend. Now looking forward to the spring to plant some new trees and shrubs.

We had a long Leylandii hedge removed and the stumps ground. As previous reviews state, the work was carried out efficiently and all mess cleared up very thoroughly. An excellent job, wouldn't hesitate to use them again. We were impressed!

We needed a large tree in our small garden to be reduced in size (crown reduction) and branches removed which were hanging over a neighbour's fence. West Country Tree Services gave us a fair quote, did a very professional job, and cleaned the whole area perfectly. West Country removed three firs from our garden, including grinding down the stumps ready for some renovation work to commence. We have an artificial lawn and they were at pains to make sure they cleared all the debris and didn't leave any equipment on there that could cause damage. They completed the job in a matter of hours including clearing up all the needles and shredding all the trees on site. Afterwards, you would not have known they had been there, minus the trees of course! All in all a great job, great price and would recommend them to anyone.

Our neighbours were planning to have some trees removed from their property and had been impressed by the efficiency of this company in quoting for and arranging the work. My wife and I thought we might get them to quote for the removal of four conifers from our garden. The quote was prepared within a matter of days, seemed very reasonable, and they even managed to schedule our work for the same day as that of our neighbours. All the trees were felled and debris cleared from site very speedily, and they took great care not to damage anything in the garden(s). We don't often have a need for tree surgery/removal, but if we do then West Country Tree Services Ltd will be our first call.
