We had underground drainage work carried out by Wicklen Ltd., a very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and efficient company who kept us informed at every stage of the work as it progressed to the agreed schedule. The budget was slightly flexible to allow for any extra work etc. Highly recommended!

My daughter had used Wicklen previously, so I knew that their work good. There was more work involved than I had initially thought, but they kept me well informed as the work progressed. Of course having drains replaced is very messy and muddy but they cleared up well after themselves and I was very pleased with the results. They were a lovely team and I would definitely recommend them.

First class service, were booked to replace surface drains fitted by block paving outfit [before we purchased property]. Keith came and gave us an estimate for the work but on further investigations with underground camera discovered our sewer pipe from house was fractured he showed me the problem on the screen and told me it really needed attention. He revised the quote and carried out the repairs straight away. They are a great team and did a first class job.

Initial big drainage problem sorted by going underground and replacing existing pipe system which was not fit for purpose. Everything explained as the work progressed and when completed the whole area was left very tidy which included the relaying of various patio slabs. We now have an excellent drainage system and cannot fault this Company from start to finish. YES, you can trust Wicklen, they are experts at their trade

The work undertaken by Wicklen involved drain clearance and investigation followed by installation of replacement pipes and new drains. Wicklen promptly responded to make the blocked drains safe. Completed CCTV survey and discussed their findings with us. Produced a clear plan of action and estimated costs. Regularly kept us informed during the course of the work and showed us what was being done. The team of Keith, Harvee and Dan are easy to deal with, worked very hard and completed the project to a very high standard. Everything cleaned up when the job was finished.

A very complex project delivered on time and to a high standard. Planning was critical which included liason with a number of suppliers of materials, plant and equipment. The team were very courteous throughout and caused minimum disruption considering the nature of the work, which was to replace an old Septic Tank with a new Sewage Treatment Plant and replace all of the old rainwater drainage to a new Pumping Station.

I contacted this company primarily as they are a Which trusted trader, but also as they had a number of good reviews . I submitted an online contact form, briefly explaining what the issue was and attached an image of the affected area. Keith from the company contacted me back the next day. He said he hadn't seen the image I had sent and he had merely been asked to give me a call. I explained what the problem was. After learning of my location Keith went on to tell me that the company was very busy at the moment and they wouldn't be able to come out until April. He therefore suggested I contact a more local company, and suggested some things they should investigate. I explained that I was happy to wait given their reputation and picking a local company out of the phone book wasn't the same as having a Which trusted trader. Keith said he understood this so he would speak to his engineer and contact me back the following night. A week later, I'm still waiting for the phone call. This may be a very good company but I will never know. What I do know is that this is not the level of service I expect from a Which or Trustatrade recommended company. If you say you're going call back, then call back, even if it's just to say you're not interested in the job.

Having recently bought our house we asked Wicklen to replace some of the old clay drains. Keith came out to us promptly and agreed to undertake the work in the new year. We were kept informed throughout the work and everything was left clean and tidy. We would use again and trust the team’s knowledgeable and experience.

My mother-in-law's house was undergoing damp proofing work on the inside. This had to be halted due to the level of damp that was found. At this point Wicklen were contacted to look at the close by soil pipe on the outside of the property (they were chosen based on reviews & that they were local). From first contact, Wicklen stood out thanks to their clear communication and quality of work. Quotes were clear with margins to take into account unforeseen problems as is often found when working below ground level, indeed the final quote came in towards the lower end. The initial inspection was a fixed fee. This included my viewing live video footage of the drains and the poor workmanship that had occurred at some previous point in time. Options for fixing the problems were clearly laid out and with costs. From the start, the work was of a very high standard and it was obvious how much pride Keith and the team took in their work. Before digging commenced photos of the patio were taken to ensure all the stone paving could be replaced exactly as it was and all garden furniture was treated with care. Updates were given as often as requested, in this case I had a phone call with Keith pretty much daily as I was interested in what was going on at a technical level. They also went out of their way to address issues which weren’t actually their responsibility, they fixed a couple of issues the neighbour had (with his permission) that impacted our damp issue. All in all highly recommended.

A thoroughly efficient and professional service provided by a very knowledgeable and experienced team. They checked our drainage system, water pumped a soakaway from a downpipe and installed a grille to prevent any future build up of silt. All completed within the proposed timeline and cost estimate. We would certainly contact them again for any problems in future.

From the outset, our communication with Keith was prompt and excellent. When the work started, it was obvious that Dan and Harvey took great pride in the standard of their work. Their professionalism, knowledge, and work ethic shone through. The quality of the finished project is first-class. I would recommend them unreservedly.

I had my flooding drains checked and repaired by Wicklen and was impressed with the work done. They also put in a manhole as there was no way to access the drains, so they are now future proofed for any emergency. The work was done in horrible weather and still completed ahead of schedule. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I called Keith from Wicklen about a drainage issue I had with my underground pump station. They visited site on time and fixed the issue professionally and promptly without any issues at all. His guys really knew the job and costs were reasonable also with all the works involved. Thanks for sorting Keith would definitely use you again when needed.
