WG Plastering

From the outset Billy was polite, knowledgeable and very amiable. We hired him to undertake extensive plastering work on a terrace house we are currently renovating (with the main bedroom in a particularly poor state of repair). Billy priced up all the work fairly, completed it to a high standard on time & budget, and provided great communication throughout. Overall a fantastic service was provided, and I would have no hesitation using him again.

We agreed a date for the work, which was completed to a high standard in a fast time. The room was spotless after they had finished. W G Plastering is run by Billy and his team. The job was to plaster bedroom walls and kitchen walls. His work was excellent; a high standard and everything left clean and tidy. Communication was brilliant. We were kept up to date throughout. We would definitely use WG Plastering again and would be happy to recommend this company to anyone requiring a plasterer. It is wonderful to come across someone you can trust to do all they promise to do without any hitches. As for cost, we felt the work was reasonably priced. We couldn't have asked for a more considerate, helpful tradesman.

We needed two rooms plastering after extensive structural work. Billy visited and assessed the work, gave us a start date, came on time and shared the progress of the work with us. Contacted WG Plastering as we had a cracked ceiling following a loft conversion and wanted some corner beading removing and a chimney breast skimming in one of our bedrooms. We didn’t know how best to fix the ceiling and Billy was very knowledgeable as to our options and not pushy at all. Quote was very reasonable. The team were professional and friendly and they tidied up after themselves every day. We’re very happy with the work completed and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

We contacted them by phone to plaster a bedroom, with a bay window and chimney breast. We sent some photos of the room and got a price straight away. They turned up on time, were polite and friendly, they worked hard and cleaned up after themselves. We plan to use them again for our next room. Would highly recommend.

We wanted three artexed ceilings smoothed over. Billy advised us well, was up-front about the costs and helped us to schedule the work - he came three times, one ceiling at a time. He explained there was no need to board over the Artex and he could skim over, which would be quicker and cheaper. He responded quickly to text messages and turned up between 8 am and 8.30 am on the days agreed, to get the work done. He and his crew (three of them) worked hard and tidied up well at the end of each day. They were really polite and friendly. We are really pleased with the work - one of the ceilings was a mess and needed a lot of remedial work which cost a little bit more, but there were no surprises and the ceilings look loads better. We would definitely use him again if we have more plastering work.

WG Plastering did a fabulous job of our front room and hall, stairs and landing. Billy came and gave us a quote for the work which was very reasonable and that was the price we paid at the end. They were punctual and clean workers and very personable. Highly recommend!

A very positive experience. We discussed the job on the phone and I sent photos. Anything I asked to be clarified was answered straightforwardly. The job was relatively small - one damp damaged kitchen wall. On the day Billy arrived on time, he was very pleasant to deal with. We talked through exactly what he would do and both agreed on the details. He checked back with us a few times during the work always ensuring that it was what we wanted. He bonded the wall where damaged plaster had fallen off and then plastered that and skimmed the whole wall and even took in the inside edge of the window which was a bonus, putting on a trim to square it off and improve the look of it. The undamaged plaster that he skimmed was very uneven and patched. The finished result is a lovely fresh smooth wall. The job came in £50 lower than the original estimate which had been a 'top price you will pay' estimate because the job was unseen. Throughout the work Billy and his assistants took Covid precautions very seriously and so the process felt safe. They left everything clean and tidy and got the job done in good time. I am happy to recommend them and would use them again.

If you need a plasterer don't hesitate in calling Billy, turned up when promised to have a look at a bedroom ceiling that was a mess due to a leak and supplied advice and a good priced quote. Arranged to have the work done the next week, again him and his two lads Luke and Troy turned up when promised and work completed to a really high standard. Don't waste your time looking around at other plasterers just give WG plastering a ring, will definitely use them again if needed and have already recommended them to friends and family.

I needed some plastering work done at a property I rent out in Greater Manchester but I live in Derbyshire. I chose Billy because of the great reviews he has received on Which Trusted Traders and it was the right choice. I needed a hole in the kitchen ceiling repaired and plastered and the porch ceiling skimmed. Due to lockdown restrictions I could not travel to the property but Billy was so good explaining everything and keeping in touch with me it really took away the stress of being unable to be there to see the work for myself. He did what he said he would do, he updated me when he found he needed to do a little more to the porch ceiling (which he had anticipated may be needed) and his charge was very reasonable. He sent photographs of the work before and after and he did not expect payment until the job was finished. What's not to recommend? From first speaking to Billy I had a good feeling about him and I was proved right, really nice man and great plasterer. I'd recommend him every time.

WG Plastering undertook various work for me. I cannot recommend them highly enough. The customer service is exceptional and they are extremely good at what they do. If I require any more plastering in the future, I would not hesitate to use them again.

Billy is a fantastic guy and the level of communication and service is excellent. Billy even managed to fit me in at short notice and came to see the job before starting work to ensure it could be completed within agreed timescales. Billy and his two sons are an incredible trio of plasterers! They are punctual, hardworking, and tenacious in the face of issues (even resorting to making batches of plaster by hand when my electricity was out). The three of them plastered my entire house (a 2 bedroom Victorian semidetached) in seemingly no time, even working on weekends to get work finished promptly. Coupled with that, they are very reasonably priced and the quality of their workmanship is top-notch, even gleaning compliments from my in-laws!

We had to get a really bad couple of ceilings bonded and then plastered. Billy actually said it was one of the worst he had ever done. The price they quoted was very reasonable, they were always incredibly easy to contact and were always there exactly when they said they would be. The ceilings now look perfect, one of the main things I liked was that we had a few other problem areas and Billy was actively trying to save us money and persuading us to not waste money on doing things that he didn't feel would be worth it. I believe that you can trust these guys to do a good honest job! Would use again and highly recommend.

We decided to have our staircase renovated and consequently our hall and landing redecorated. On stripping off the old wallpaper, it was evident that we required quite a bit of plastering work to be done. That’s when my wife happened to notice a van, WG Plastering, whilst out walking. So we gave him a call. Billy, from the initial visit to give us a quote, right up to finishing the job, was always punctual and always polite. He was extremely informative regarding the work he was going to carry out, explaining exactly what and how it would be done. When the work was in progress, Billy and his sons were always clean and tidy workers which led to a really first class completion. When the staircase renovation work was finished and a little patching work was required, we just got in touch and Billy was round, nothing was too much trouble. Finally, we would like to thank Billy and his sons for there excellent work.

Billy plastered two bedrooms for us. Work was completed on time, at a good price and to a high standard. Billy was really friendly and reliable, we will definitely use WG Plastering again in the future.

Billy explained all the options and always gave unbiased advice about whether any work really needed doing and was able to keep to his original price quote and time schedule. I have recently had my kitchen skimmed by W G Plastering. It is only a small room so I was worried they would have trouble moving around with restricted space but they were just fine. It was finished to the agreed schedule and everything went according to plan. They turned up on time and even text me the evening before to let me know what time they would be arriving. They finished as planned and didnt go over. The budget was the same as they had quoted me when given the price quote before Christmas. Billy explained everything to me before hand, told me all the work sufaces and flooring would be covered up and protected and they cleaned up at the end of each day. They left a great impression on me and I will definitely recommend them to anyone who is in need of a plasterer.

Billy and the boys have done loads of excellent work on our hideous renovation project. They have been absolute lifesavers fixing ceiling cave ins, walls where the plaster had completely fallen off, Giant ceiling cracks, and a whole knocked through chimney, which they turned into a very fancy cooker recess. They even did an entire room which, in just a few days, went from looking like something from a horror movie, to a smooth and smart space. I have asked Billy and his lads to come back time and time again, they arrive really quickly, their work has always been exceptional, and they are a joy to be around. I have not hesitated to recommend them to anyone who needs work doing (including work colleagues) and will absolutely have them back again to do the next stages in the project. If you are in need of a plasterer go to WG plasterers - I would not be without them!
